I see you guys sprite edit aswell.

The Bomberman one you see to the left is one I made at a forum I use to attend. It took awhile since I had to re-adjust the finger into a middle one and redrawed some pixels to make it look beleivable. I also added a dailogue bubble for fun. ;P

It was created to rebel against a dictating adminstrator. He kept pestering about "What can I do to win the people back?" So I told tim, "Wait for my avatar to change..."

I've been editing/ripping for a long time. I usually do color edits and such.

Suck at programming? Well that's still okay. Gamemaker's primary function is Game creation w/o a single line of code.

Harry Sullivan (incomplete)

Help me name this guy. He's a super sentai robot ninja dude along the lines of Skullomania, Freakazoid, and etc. (incomplete)

Technically not spritework, but it is pixel art. Something I started for my drawing class, but apparently digital drawings/art do not count as REAL art. (incomplete)

First off you should probably learn how to draw if you can't already. Then you should check out sites like http://pixeljoint.com for proper pixel art techniques and then you should just open up any drawing program that uses single pixel pencil tools and try it out yourself.

Sprite editing is a good way to get familiar pixels, but it's only good for starting out.

Enemy from the fire stage. The only reason this may look good is because I took it from Super Metroid.

I'm taking to long to finish this game, mostly because I lack motivation. I wish someone would smack me in the face and force me to finish it...

Hey, not too bad with the turtle, there. I think, though, that the anatomy could be reworked a little bit to more properly match that of a real turtle. If you look at this picture ( http://www.everythingwolf.com/gallery/galleryimages/turtle2.jpg ) you can see that the front legs are a bit further from the head than you have. Also, I think that it'd look better if you made the last frame showing the head and legs inside the shell instead of completely disappearing within.

You're probably a bit new to spriting/pixel art, so I'd suggest for you to check out http://pixeljoint.com and http://pixel-arts.org/pixelation . Both are really great pixel art sites that will help you better understand useful pixel techniques to make nice low resolution images.

At first I tried showing the legs inside, but it was so ugly I erased them. Unfortunately, I can't spend much time in the sprites, or else I'm never going to finish the game =/
