It's kinda like "The Shining": Here we have a guy with an axe running around a hotel and smashing doors. He doesn't have ten eyes, he doesn't have four arms, he isn't slowly decaying. He's just a crazy mutha with an axe. Then why is it that every time I see it it scares the living shit out of me? Because I think "Hey, this guy's human. If he lost it, everyone can lose it!".
And yes, Jason X sucked the big one. Uber-Jason... what the fuck is that supposed to mean? I'd rather go see a movie called "Terminator vs The Evil Hitler Robots" or something like that. At least that wouldn't try to take itself seriously!

I was talkin' 'bout Duke Nukem 3D, which is celebrating its 10-and-something birthday, and it still kicks so much ass! No, literally, it KICKS ASS! I mean, how many games do you know that have your FOOT, nay, your MIGHTY FOOT, available as a weapons, let alone a japanese game! And let's not even go to the DEVASTATOR and its awesome (In every sense of the word) power!

I LOVE Marty O'Donnell's work for the halo series. Some of the best video game music I EVER heard. Thats stricly of course opinionated. I hope some peopl can agree with me on this...

I will agree that Jeremy Soule and Marty O'Donnell have some fantasitic soundtracks that they have put out.

I agreed with alot of that! but at the same time was scared by it =P I know Fanboyism can blind ya from reality. but he didnt really draw a line. He kinda made me feel any of slightest fandom is bad. I guess I would classify myself as one of the "respectable loser" though. Because I have boughten things and can admit what crap they are when I get them. Infact as said earlier theres actualy ALOT more crap than good when it comes to animes, but man some people just cant admit it. and thats why im never to open about the little fanboyism I do have. I dont wanna be classified with those guys because thats the stereotype nowadays.

Which brings the question, is there a line of good and bad Fanboyism. and is fanboyism even a word?

Heh...I generally stay away from anything with lyrics in the first place, since most of it grates my ears (pretty much the only thing that has lyrics that I listen to are arias from operas and stuff like that, mostly to help soothe my mind when I'm under a lot of stress).

In my book, only when you buy more than two or more times the amount in little extras (like figures, posters, etc.) than you spend on the actual anime DVD's and games.

You could say there is a fine line between the two states. A good sign of crossing that line is when you begin to demand entitlement rights and accusing the creators of not knowinf the right way a character should act, and that the relationships are all wrong. Another sign is when you demand VAs both east and west to act out your secret slashfic.
