I've played through most of Viper Typing. I have a few questions...

1. What are the three different selections on the main menu? (Bamboo, flower, small tree) Are they different difficulties?

2. Is it possible to win Stage 5? I always seem to fail, but am able to move onto Stage 6 regardless.

The plum, bamboo, and pine trees are often used to denote a three-tier system in Japanese culture. Plum (the upper right) is the lowest, easiest level. Bamboo (the left) is the middle level. Pine (lower right) is the top or hardest level. The full scenes are only available on Pine level I think, and the last few stages are near impossible (I've never beaten Mika in the last stage.)

Stage 5 is unforgiving. One mistake and its game over. I think you only have to get 3 phrases right to continue though. Stage 6 and Last are even worse. On the bright side, losing five gives you a full color version of a few of Viper-BTR's animations. Losing 6 and Last gets you squat.

Might I recommend a Pine-level complete crack file?

I actually have beaten it, but not sure which level. I'm pretty good at typing.

I used Grapholic to pull out all the images. I want to get a animation of the RSR girly!

Uhm..

I just got the VIPERs torrent done, and I extracted Typing. Not sure I know how to play. Every time I type the letter I see on the screen, I get an X instead of an O. Is that normal? Haha.

You need Japanese font support in XP, or to be running in Japanese regional mode in 2000. Or various programs to do the same things.

I couldn't get the pine lvl crack file, so I'm assuming it got taken down. Can I please get it somehow? A new link perhaps? please?

Sorry about that. I cycle things out of the temp/ folder every so often. Must have deleted it at some point. I've made it available again now though.

By the way, what is this Viper Typing?

Some sort of game where you learn to type and in the process get to see sex scenes? Wish we had that instead of Mavis Beacon.

Yeah its exactly as you said, except that correct words destroys the female opponent's clothing!
