Your death wish has been heard. U_U

Okay so I've just got issues with MGS2 and 3..... *kicks Konami for releasing Subistence and not giving him a free copy for purchasing Snake Eater*
Okay, that's not the actual reason.  The whole... naked snake thing... ruins Big Boss... The whole Big Boss... theme... is just ruined.
Plus, Solid Snake > * so there U_U  I would have accepted Solid Snake > Liquid Snake > * as a potential answer but unfortunately you did not and thus you lose $500 now pick another category i mean wuht?

SPOILER ALERT!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
.I didn't mind MGS3S at all.I enjoyed it,but i enjoyed MGS- Twin Snakes and MGS2S more.

Plus,MGS3 Subsistance inclduing the REAL Metal Gear 1 and 2 was a nice touch.I rescued Grey Fox in MG1,but still looking for that darn bomb blast suit thing...lol

A quick theory about MGS4's story. They aren't spoilers, but just watch out.

They mentionned they'd explain Vamp's immortality. Supposedly, Dead Cell's actually a project to bring dead people back to life. That's actually the second phase of a bigger project.

Phase 1: Gray Fox. The whole point is to revive a dead person and fit them in a suit that would grant them amazing abilities. Fox in that exoskeleton made him able to react to things much faster, and move faster and deal stronger blows.

Phase 2: Dead Cell reanimation. Fox was a mindless zombie, Vamp had his memories. Focusing on the psychology and the mind instead of the body.

Final Phase [Phase 3]: Putting both together. Raiden in MGS4. In the suit, with the memories. (Supposedly, Raiden dies in the battlefield. Blown up by a mine a la Fox)

So who's project is it and what's it for?

It's something the Patriots thought up. What's it for? The ultimate soldier, Big Boss. Koji said BB's corpse will play a crucial role to the story. I figure the whole plot is to resurrect him or something. I read this "what I think MGS4 will be like" thread and basically, there was this really good post with a lot of clues that showed how Meryl could be a Patriot. Some dude mentionned having access to the script, and there's only one thing I need to mention that bugs me.

Supposedly, at the end, the "phone call sequence" after the credits is actually a clip this time, of Meryl dialing a number in a public phone.

525-458-5356

Go dial that on your phone, associate the number with a letter. What does that give?

LAL-ILU-LELO

aka La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo.

Either that guy really does know stuff, or he just has no life and spent how many weeks thinking up theories like that Dead Cell reanimation stuff and that phone number.

It -was- pretty cool though. Haha. Can't wait.

Same as any other tags, but write the word "spoilers" in the brackets.

Yeah well... not so much the name... the whole soddy... sodnessness.  Naked's a big fat baby.  C'mon now.  And I hate retconning a whole new character after nowhere with the incredibly original name "Boss"
I hated Boss the most because she was the only character in the game, during the game, that I actually liked.  Yet she was just conveniently made up for that one game only.

And was it really that big of a sekret that naked was OMGYOUKNOWWHO?
I also think it was kind of annoying that they made naked look nigh-EXACTLY like Solid.  wtfux.

Clones tend to be identical to the originals.

Yeah, there may be some slight differences, such as Liquid's hair color(which could have been dyed),plus i think one of the games said Liquid had a slightly different skin tone. Other than those differences, identical.

The thing is, Naked looks IDENTICAL to Solid.  But both Liquid and Solidus have noted differences between the original.  And previously, Solid was not unique in any special way... now they're giving him some divinity that he doesn't need U_U  Solid kick ass either way.

well,Naked back then is(I think?)around the age Snake is at the beginning of MGS1/Twin Snakes? Not sure, but they were both young at that point and may have looked similar because of that.I'm not familiar with how exact the timelines are,so i may be wrong.

Liquid obviously looks different....When we see Solidus,he looks older,so we never saw him when he was younger.I'm almost wondering if indeed all 3 clones were 'born' at the same time,or if Solidus came first, then Liquid and Solid.Either that,or maybe, for some defect,Solidus was aging faster than Solid or Liquid.

But,those are just thoughts...

The reason why Solid and Liquid look different is because their genes were tampered with.  Liquid got all of Naked Snake's dominant genes and Solid Snake got all of his recessive ones.  However, as MGS1 shows us, genes aren't necessarily a deciding factor in how well a soldier performs.  But, that would explain why Liquid snake has pale skin and hair.  For whatever reason the genes that cause those traits are superior according to the Les Infantiles Terribles project.

Were their genes not tampered with, Solid and Liquid would look identical.

Aye, that would explain the Liquid thing.  And I guess import is right about Solidus.  I forgot that that may not be what Solidus is "supposed" to look like.  Thought he just came out with grey hair and crap XD
Well, it's not like Hideo is always consistent.

IT'S JUST TOO GODDAMN CONVENIENT, GODDAMNIT!
and/or I haven't played original MGS in way too long so I've forgotten half of it, whatev foo'.

Solidus was made the same time Liquid and Solid were.

Liquid: Dominant
Solid: Recessive
Solidus: A perfect balance between the two, the closest thing to Big Boss.

The reason why he looks older is because "they" didn't play too much with his genes. He's pretty much an "exact" replica of Big Boss... which would make him age faster. Get it?

And whoever mentionned Rose -- you'll most likely see or at least hear from her in MGS4. She also has a role in the story. I mean.. who else was left trying to figure out how many Roses you spoke to in the game at the end of MGS2? You had the GW version and the real one, aye?

Big Boss actually wasn't meant to look like Solid. It's just, Kojima had Shinkawa draw BB as someone who resembled Snake so the players could kinda feel familiar with the character. There's a ton of other stuff the "BB = Solid in looks" could mean as well.

Anyhoo, I'm glad we won't be seeing any "Liquidus" or some shit like that. It would add another game or two to explain why he showed up, and it would give a "Mario/Wario//Luigi/Waluigi" feel to it. *shudder*

Metal Gear Solid Strikers. omfg.

If Snake dies in the next game maybe we'll see a Raiden game next.  In any case I've got the feeling that Kojima's starting to get sick of making Metal Gear games.

Yeah, he actually wanted his team to make MGS3, but they needed his help for it. He "sent them a message" in 3 by having added The Boss to the story. The whole... "I've taught you everything" thing, but they still didn't get it.

That's why for 4, Kojima's gonna kill Snake off. That way there's no way they can make another Metal Gear Solid game. The only possible SOLID game's Portable Ops, perhaps a sequel to that. Then there's AC!D, which isn't directed by Kojima at all, so it shouldn't bother him.

A Raiden spin off sounds fun, but what will the story be like?

Raiden fights a legion of Metal Gears for 10 levels.  His weapons are a sword and acrobatics.  In the sequel he gets to fight Dante from Devil May Cry in a bishie battle.

That's not even funny.  Wasn't MGS2 enough?

Yeah, err, he "started" getting sick way back in MGS2 =P
