Nope. The only game I could play with any amount of skill was MGS1. I don't know why, but I just can't play the 2nd and 3rd ones. I love watching them though. I once spent 2 days watching Hyperguy play MGS3.

MGS is the reason why I liked military fiction games / stories. My favorite would be MGS1 for the PSX, maybe because It's the only console I owned. I wish I own a GC and MGS Twin Snakes right now.

Fox Hound is way cooler and more bad ass than Dead Cell and Cobra Unit combined... for me that is.

Anyone else think Hideo Kojima is running out of steam? The Twin Snakes version was pretty good -- except when they included the first person perspective they forgot to give enemy AI more three dimensional awareness too; makes it too easy to pop them from above =/

Metal Gear Solid games are awesome I loved the first one and the 2nd one was good execpt they put raiden naked which I hated but 3 made up for it.

The Twin Snakes was directed by Quentin Tarantino fan Ryutei Kitamura.

Explains the limb-chopping. Kojima was only the Producer. He didn't waste his time with TTS (which was in my opinion a piece of garbage remake that didn't have any real bonuses or different gameplay styles), cause at the time he was working on MGS3.

Kojima's tired of making MGS games, he wanted to quit after MGS2, but fans made him make a third, and now a fourth. The Old Snake idea is basically symbolism. Kojima's gonna kill Snake off, so "they could both get the rest they deserve".

In short, the fans made him old.

Raiden rocked. Don't diss Raiden. He's as good as Snake. Maybe you just find him annoying because of the codec calls. In that case, be mad at Rose.

Raiden's cool. And the new trailer proves he is fucking BADASS. I mean, did you SEE the ownage he doled out on those robots?

Naked Snake was also badass. Anyone who can take a bullet wound to the nuts, pry out the bullet, stitch it up and keep walking HAS to be awesome.

As for Solid Snake... He's pretty cool too, but he's less cool than Rai and Naked. Though I do admit it's pretty fucking awesome how he still has the touch after he's turned old and crusty. And has that skin condition. (Don't ask.)

That's right, Naked Snake and Raiden > Solid Snake.

I actually prefer Twin Snakes over the original,but that's just me...some of my fave video games are remakes/upgrades of older games.Such as....

River City Ransom EX (GBA) (New enemies,bosses,team options,weapons,etc.)
Rockman Mega World (Import Genesis) (new graphics,new levels and bosses)
Resident Evil (Gamecube) (Massive upgrade,new boss,enemies,weapons)
MGS- Twin Snakes (Gamecube) (Big upgrade,new dialogue,better graphics,etc.)
PSO Plus (Gamecube) (4 more quests,Ep2.Challenge Mode,more enemies,weapons,etc.)
DOA Ultimate (Xbox) (mostly the upgrades to DOA 2)
Akumajo Dracula X-Nocturne in the moonlight (Import Saturn) (More areas,weapons,etc.)
Megaman X3 (Gamecube Megaman X Collection version) (Anime scenes,new music)
Megaman Powered Up (PSP) (Big upgrade,new levels,bosses,play as Wily robots,etc.)
Megaman Maverick Hunter X (PSP) (Big upgrade,anime scenes,play as Vile,anime movie)
Super Mario Allstars (SNES) (graphics and music upgrade,Japan's SMB 2 finally!)

I like to see games 'evolve' by being remade/upgraded,and i didn't think Twin Snakes was a 'peice of garbage remake' at all.We'll just have to disagree.

Jesus, how can you even say that Raiden is better than Solid Snake?!

Raiden was good yeah, but Solid Snake is just a total fuckin' badass, like his daddy. Raiden is a child of the digital age and VR training, no field experience.

Okay, my favourites are as follows.

Hero- Solid Snake (Can't beat the original)
Villian- Big Boss (Because fallen heroes are always the best)
FOXHOUND Member- Revolver Ocelot (He was cool, always)
COBRA- The Sorrow (We see eye to bleeding eye on a few things)
Cutscene- In MGS1/MGSTS, when Solid Snake steps off that elevator stripping off his diving gear, and the Metal Gear Solid logo flashes up after all the credits pop up and everything, and you've got the dialogue going on, and when I first saw it I was like. "DUDE"
Weapon of Choice-
MGS1- Silenced SOCOM
MGS2- Tranquiliser Pistol
MSG3- Tranquiliser Pistol/Knife
Best Codec Conversation- Callling Signt from inside the Box in MGS3. Trust me. Just do it.

And Twin Snakes was great! Don't be knockin' on my boy Tarantino 'neither!

My REAL opinion: Naked Snake > Solid Snake > Raiden.

Because despite what I may have said before that made Snake seem worse... yeah, that really makes him better.

Let's face it, we all know I would not put Snake below Rai.

Okay so I've just got issues with MGS2 and 3..... *kicks Konami for releasing Subistence and not giving him a free copy for purchasing Snake Eater*
Okay, that's not the actual reason. The whole... naked snake thing... ruins Big Boss... The whole Big Boss... theme... is just ruined.
Plus, Solid Snake > * so there U_U I would have accepted Solid Snake > Liquid Snake > * as a potential answer but unfortunately you did not and thus you lose $500 now pick another category i mean wuht?
