Unless they have a device to play PSP games on your PS2 or PS3....
There's a lot of pressure from the movies side of Sony and their UMD movie partners to release a home system to play UMDs. But of course, if they did that, consumers would want the thing to play the games as well. And Sony doesn't want a PSP home console and PS2/PS3 to compete against each other in the same market.If Sony wants UMD to stick as a viable movie format, I don't see how they have all that much choice, but if they can they'll delay such a device until well past the PS3 introduction. Had PS3 made it to shelves this month like it was supposed to, maybe they wouldn't be in such a mess becuase they could plan for a UMD console sometime next year and not have to worry about stepping on the PS3's toes.As far as a PS3 playing UMDs... its already $500, you want to tack on another $100 to that for substandard quality movies and garbage games?
