Director MX has an Insert | Media Element | Shockwave Audio... option on the menu. One of the import formats for that function is mp3.

Yes, but the pcm files won't play at all in conventional player like Winamp. I start first by extracting them from the SGS.dat file using Grapholic, but for some reason the files don't behave like a sound file should. Like audio converters won't recognize them and I don't know of what codecs I'd need to play a pcm file. I think I should be able to play them normally, but maybe the case with these is that they're still compressed in some fashion so they don't play normally.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I'm talking about the sound effect and voice files that are in the sgs.dat file. I know I can get the music tracks to play in flash.

Can't help ya there. The voice is in some proprietary format and I dont think that SGS PCM player app can process those.
Maybe you can find someone to do an English dubbing instead. :-P

Dang. Then again, the voices are kind of non-essential. There aren't really many sound effects. Wait, what am I saying? Carrera's seductive voice is part of the experience. I guess I'll just have to make due or try bribing a sex phone operator with conversation.

The gallery is unaccessible to most people right now. You can read the whole reason why at the root page. (Yeah, I'm always right about these things.)

I think Hyperguy's now set it up so that if you have a certain number of posts you can get into the gallery, because I can. I can't confirm what number of hits it takes or if its just me. (And if it's just me, why? I probably already have everyhting in the gallery anyhow...)

I'm going to keep the gallery restriction free for as long as I can. Maybe it's not smart bandwidthwise, but at the same time I want to look out for all of the people who don't know all of the tricks when it comes to getting images.

Actually, now that I think about it...

I remember how cool it was when I first learning to use the internet. There was this one site I'd always go to for images. Maybe some of you have heard of it, it's a large gallery of character specific images called the CG Shrines. Long story short, I didn't know anything about how to find images and for me, that site was a godsend. I'm thinking there's probably someone like that who visits this site right now, and the least I can do is not make things difficult for them by requiring them to register or have a certain amount of posts. And, maybe, just maybe, they'll be inspired and somewhere down the line create their own gallery and continue to share the wealth.

Just kep an eye on bandwidth. If the site goes down before the end of the month again I'll be POd.

If the site goes down again, everyone'll be PO'd, or at the least, disappointed.

But little did I know, a new developement is occuring!

People are actually using less bandwidth this month than they were last month, and I don't think it's just because of the removal of the gif gallery. It seems that after I posted the message about bandwidth on the front page people have been using less and less of it, and in some cases, I've been getting e-mails from people asking me if it's okay to use up lots of bandwidth again, or if they should wait it out some more.

It really is an interesting developement because now it looks like we'll be going under the amount of bandwidth we normally use this month if the rate continues. Currently we're going at the rate of 1.19 GB of bandwidth used a day, which is less than half of last month's rate, which was roughly 3 GBs a day.
