I don't see a any KOF/Fatal Fury/AOF Thread, so i decided to make one.
I personnaly play with Iori, Terry, Kyo and K'.

K' is the win, the most badass ever.

What is your fav KOF game and chars ?

Uh...I just like making fun of Terry's horrible English. XD I've never really played an SNK title, unless you count CVS2, but even then I only picked Capcom characters/Grooves, so...does that even count? I know Hyperguy has played some SNK stuff, but I'm not sure about the rest of our forumship.

Personally, I find SNK Vs Fighting Game more fun and interesting than any Capcom Games.
CVS2 is nice, but it lacks the SNK feeling.

I only ever play Guiilty Gear anymore, so I can identify with the "Capcom's kinda lame" feeling. To be honest the only reason I have no SNK game experience is because I've never had the opportunity. I don't know which of their fighters would be any good (though if Samurai Shodown and Last Blade 2 are SNK-based, I know those are supposed to rule).

Last Blade is very nice, as much as Samurai Showdown. The only SNK game with a Super Saiyan in it.

That reminds me... I've got a sealed copy of Last Blade for NEO*GEO CD in my game closet somewhere. And the oversized Samurai Shodown II AES cartridge, too.

My fave SNK game of all time's King of Fighters 2002. I always knew about SNK video games growing up, but didn't get a chance to play most of them unless it was in the arcade or through crappy SNES ports.

As soon as I got a Neo Geo emulator though, it was so on. I went back and played all of the major SNK games since Art of Fighting. Having done so, I think I can really appreciate the improvements their games have had in the years.

Also, Terry's still one of the coolest fighting game characters the world has ever known.

anyway may fave KoF's has got to be 95-97 (Orochi saga). still waiting for KoF XII, does anyone knows when they'll release it?

Also my fave characters :Terry, Kyo and Ryo.

I've never had a NEO*GEO CD. Got the game from someone else in a trade. That's why it still sealed.

I have an AES in excellent condition with two controllers but the only games I have for it are oldies: Samurai Shodown II, World Heroes 2, King of the Monsters 2, and Baseball Stars Professional. I wouldn't mind acquiring one of the Metal Slugs someday but they seem more expensive than I'd really care to pay.

Frankly, I have a deep problem with SNK.
I love their games.
I hate their characters.

For example, my favourite game is KoF 2002, but I can't seem to build a team with two MEN. I always end up with something like Vice, Mature and Vanessa (Usual team), King, Blue Mary and Mature (Blondies team) or Vice, Vanessa and... I dunno... Shermie?

Now that I think about it, Vanessa is the only reason I like '02, 'cause '98's got one of the most underdog awesome badass characters ever created. The one and only Heavy-D! Bleh, the whole American Sports Team was as underdog as you can get.

But for the rest?
Kyo is a lame dickhead who tries to be badass.
K' is yet another "Cold bastard" stereotype, only insulting Bruce Lee and Judas Priest in the process.
And I don't even want to start with that redhead-motherfucker-whose-name-I-will-not-write. I hate him with all the strength of my heart, liver and balls.

Kim is a screaming moron. Literally, he screams, and he is a moron. The only reason I could possible like him is because he was used as a basis for an Ash (From Army of Darkness) char for Mugen.

So, we can deduce that everyone in SNK who has a dick, is either gay or a dickhead.

Except for Heavy-D!, of course.

Yeah, but it's what he screams that makes him cool. The guy's dead set on COMPLETELY DESTROYING evil at every opportunity. The sense of justice within him runs so deep that he captured two serial killers(with his bare hands!) and forced them to train to atone for their sins. Kim's the type of guy who pretty much guarantees that if you happen to be evil when he walks through the door that your shit's ruined in .5 seconds or less. And his screams pierce glass. This is all without considering that's he also a national hero in Korea, has legions of students(many of which appear in other SNK fighting games), and can stomp people's faces in where they stand.
