I never went to any Cosplay thing ...We don't have those here 0.o Well,I heard a shop in a mall sometimes organize those but its a very small event.Hey btw,Ultros,nice name, wow that bring back memories.(FF6 is my favorite in all FF serie)

I'm horribly jaded by "real" cosplayers that you find at "actual" conventions. I have never ever ever ever seen a con-goer with a good costume, or even one that was all that good-looking, hence the state of this thread. Because I'll take slutty and Photoshopped over fat, nasty, and horribly-put-together any day of the week.

Umm... You must not be looking too hard, or rather, going to many conventions. Either that, or your standards are not real in any sense, so you should go back to looking at ACTUAL animation. I've been to many conventions and seen beautiful people in beautifully constructed costumes at every convention I've been to. I'm not white knighting, there are ugly fat people who do throw together a costume at the last minute, but they are by far not the only people you find. Not trying to change your mind, buddy, as it's already in it's fully locked weeaboo state, just making sure you don't get yourself decked somewhere. ^^ Have a great day!

Eeeeeexactly. This thread is not for those people. This thread is for the top flight of cosplay, and "normal" and "acceptable", as the girls you posted there are (perfectly reasonable-looking girls in perfectly reasonable-looking costumes, apart from the proto-Hitler tache on Pikachu there)- isn't what we're interested in. We've seen "normal" and "acceptable", we see it every day. That's why it's normal.

This thread is for rewarding the people that pull themselves out of normalcy and into excellence, to highlight and share the out of the ordinary. If that means slutty and photoshopped, then so be it.

This does not, as most seem to believe, invalidate those who do not make the cut and must remain in "normal". It just tells them to try harder, to carve their own niche, or to judge themselves by some other standard.

Besides, you're forgetting the golden rule: we men will fuck anything. ;P

I'm a fully paid-up, card-carrying, tea-drinking Britishman, and therefore habitually communicate mostly in sarcasm. (This is why Hugh Laurie does such as good job as Dr. House.) You can therefore assume anything particuarily extreme, such as aparrent Hitler moustaches or comments about the quantities that one gender or the other may or may not fuck as me being facetious.

Either way, you were complaining about posts of cosplayers who are "Slutty and photoshopped to the max", and that we "need a dose of reality in here." I'm just explaining why we've picked what we have- or more accurately, not picked what we haven't.

Like I say, I'm not decrying your pic (or at least, I'm not trying to)- just explaining why what you have defined as "real" isn't here.
