zOMFG! What if there was a Viper fighting game?

I'll tell you one thing brother; even if the game played worse than Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Tournament Fighters on the NES, I'd still be camped out in front of EB games on launch day gripping onto my preorder ticket.

I can see it now...

They'd call it Viper GTFO and it'd be for the Sega Saturn, because lord knows that system was built for 2D fighters. Even today you'll see people stealing Sega Saturn controllers for their sheer D-pad responsiveness and six button layout.

I think the character lineup for the game would look something like this(8 characters because if there's anything that Capcom's taught us it's that you need 8 characters to launch a successful fighting game franchise):

1. Akira Honjoji - Ryu type character with the shotokan style and aikido and judo mixed in. Out of all of the Viper characters, I'd say Akira knows how to throw down the best so she'd be the poster girl for the game-you'd see an image of her on the compact disc and cover of the game, and there'd be a sexy lady at EB games dressed up as her handing out promo flyers and lollipops.

2. Carrera - Since she has demon magic I'd imagine she'd use all sorts of spells and play something like Testament from Guilty Gear. Knowing Carrera most of her throw moves would involve some kind of groping action, and upon defeating you she'd take your soul and make Mercedes do the dishes for the fourth time this week.

3. Makoto - Not to be outdone by Akira, Makoto would play like Jun Kubota from Variable Geo. They're practically relatives, and besides, this game would need to have a throw character in order to be a fighting game.

4. Asuka - To mix it up a bit, Asuka would come into battle with all of her kendo armor on, and as a nod to Northern Light's storyline, peices of her armor would come off as she takes damage. Attack wise, I'd imagine she'd play something like a Samurai Showdown character.

5. Bravan -Bravan would fucking pwn. Of course, his super would be the Bravan Slash, and he'd fuck up life bars by way of his Metal Buster and Bravan Shot. He'd definetly be a top tier character, and would even transform in his intro animation.

6. Mika/Henshin Mode - Mika would fill the role of the game's speedy character. While she's not incredibly strong, I could see her running
circles around the other characters, thanks to her power armor.

7. Magical Gambler Totocal Chomi - Why in the fuck would Chomi even be in this game? She's got absolutely no real fighting ability besides being able to throw dice at people and turn the outcome of a game of chance in her favor. Success! She'll be the oddball character who's moves make absolutely no sense yet still deal damage! (See: Rival School's "Sleeping Fish" Nagare)

8. Raika - Raika's a tough detective character and I'd imagine that she'd play no differently. For the hell of it, she could use her gun in battle, would use all sorts of takedown moves and raw punches and kicks, and could match Makoto in strength, not because she's strong or anything, but because she's Raika. OwO

9. Yuka Takeuchi - Bam! Secret character! If we get enough yen together then we could persuade TGL to let us borrow her, if not just for a moment. She'd sweep in at the end of the game right before the last boss and say something along the lines of "I AM THE SECRET CHARACTER!" *Kills boss for you* "WE MUST FIGHT!" Of course, you'd need a top score of over 40,000 points and would have to finish every fight with super move in order to have the honor of fighting Yuka Takeuchi.

The chances of this game being created are slim to none, but who cares? Viper GTFO would pwn the bargain bin, going so far as to beat out every PS1 and Gameboy game in second hand sales.

This game would shake the foundations of mediocre anime infused fan service-y type fighting games forever.

If I were a jaded fanboy reviewer working for IGN (or another respectable online gaming publication) I'd quickly give it a 9.5/10 and quit my job the next day. This game would just rock that hard.

hell yes! totally sounds like a fighting game from the 90's alright...and it would pwn the crap out of the POS they call dbz budokai then for the second game you just add a new row of characters like all other games and 1 more secret character cause every one knows thats what all fighting games do now

Or Mercedes and Ratty? (becuase Capcom's proven only one succubus just doesn't please everyone)

Narsha and Irear would make great bosses.

Ehmmm.... I DON'T think I should vote cause I cant vote twice... I WOULD buy my own copy as soon as it came out... BUT THEN I'd ALSO download it after everyone bought their own copy. JUST because! WOW, I'm weird. But that's an obsession for ya'...

Let's just make it easy on ourselves and say that if we went to the trouble of putting down cold hard cash for the game and already installed it that there wouldn't be any need to download it afterwards.

As for Kate and Yuria, as badass as it would be to be able to play as both of them at the same time a la Kohaku and Hisui from Melty Blood, I think they'd fare better in a sequel. The pitch would sound something like this!

I think Cala~~'s breasts~~ could sell the game on her own so she'd be necessary for a sure fire sequel.

Friday Night Rush

Akira rushes toward her opponent and unleashes a barrage of 5 punches, 5 chops, 5 kicks, and finishes with a jumping soccer kick.

Ratty

Summon Alphina

Alphina appears and dashes across the screen with a punch.

Hump Leg

Ratty runs up and affectionately rubs against her opponent, causing their super meter to go down.

Throw Pitchfork

Ratty launches her pitchfork at her opponent. If blocked, the pitchfork remains on the ground and must be picked up in order to be used again.

Detonate Pitchfork

Ratty takes out a switch and presses it, detonating her pitchfork and causing splash damage. Pitchfork then rematerilizes back in her hands. Can only be used if pitchfork is laying on the ground.

Supers

Impale

Ratty slams into her opponent and impales them with her pitchfork. Pitchfork gets stuck and she then puts both feet onto her opponent to pry it loose. Ratty then kicks her opponent hard and they're both sent flying into the opposite edges of the screen.

lol include Sabin's bum rush from FFVI, just to drive people insane with that stupid button combination again.

Also Hyperguy has inspired me to write a commercial for this fighting if anything to entertain my sorry arse. I've got little kids at my house and I can make them say funny one-liners like "WOW COOL!" and "KICKIN RAD"!

Well if you think about it, Akira has probably appeared in more games than most MUGEN fighters. 14 by my count: V16, GTB, GT1, Typing, all six Islands, and all four Paradices.
