needing some help with Adobe Creative Suite software...
« on: February 15, 2007, 03:16:19 am »
Seeing as so many people tend to have this (although it's expensive as hell unless you get it through some sort of student discount), I figured someone might be able to help me with a problem I've been having recently.  I found a torrent of Adobe Creative Suite 2 with a keygen back when I first got my new computer.  I downloaded it and installed it without any trouble.  Thing is, I was unable to successfully register the software in order to keep using it beyond the stupid 30-day trial they give you... some error kept coming up, and I couldn't get connected to whatever server/website I needed to go to, despite having a stable Internet connection.  I tried re-installing it, but to no avail.  So, I was wondering if anyone out there could either help me solve this problem, or find another torrent that gets around this problem (I heard there are torrents out for CS3 now).  Any help would be greatly appreciated and would be worth some +rep, as I use this software for my graphic design assignments, and it keeps me from having to constantly leave my dorm and walk across campus and back just to get my work done.

You arn't supposed to register warez dude. They stay unregistered.

A good keygen should contain a registration code as well as your Serial No. , follow instructions and install it. You'lll be fine.

Just do NOT register the stuff. It's kind of a common sense thing honestly. Sort of like if you're pirating Windows, don't send in error reports or try to download updates.

It's the price of piracy.

Well that's gay... sounds like I'll have to buy the damn software at this rate, which is still $300+ with a student discount.  There's no point in pirating something unless it'll WORK properly...  -_-

Since when do you have to officially register to get the program to work properly? If you downloaded the full program than installing it with the serial is all it should take. Registraton just opens you up to tech support and stupid shit like that. Unneeded. Methinks you're somewhat of a noobie when it comes to warez. Otherwise, you wouldn't be having trouble in both using the program as well as understanding my description.

I have Photoshop CS and ImageReady, and I never had to register to have full functionality. Just do what I said and you'll be fine.

And don't use gay as a negative word, please.

I used the code given to me by the keygen I got and it worked just fine... for 30 days.  After that, it wouldn't let me open anything without properly registering it first.  =/

Here's some screens of what keeps coming up:

And sorry for using "gay" as a derogatory term - bad habit.  >_<

Hm... I'm not sure what I can do here... I reccomend getting:

Adobe Photoshop Elements: I have 3.0, and it cost me $75. Other than a few Layer styles, the Actions, the Channels, a few filters and other very minor things missing, it's the same as Photoshop CS, IMO. Chances are APE4 has more though.

Paint.NET: One Kick-Ass program for being free. It's open-source, and a great alternative to Photoshop if you don't need a really great image editor. The community's alright, some of them being programmers that develop add-ons to the program, and it's extremely easy to use. It's like Photoshop had sex with MSPaint! I love it!

The GIMP: I have portable GIMP, one that can be executed from a USB drive, and that alone seems more powerful than Photoshop. It has a myriad of functions, most of them a lot more in-depth than Photoshop CS2, from what I've seen. Navigation for me is tricky, but for being free it does a hell of a lot.

There's a lot of ground to cover here so I'll just start off with the least:

After you put in a serial number and install Creative Suite, when you run it for the first time it'll ask you to activate it.

If you'd then choose the option to activate it by phone and your keygen should have a way of generating an activation code.  Simply input the generated activation code and you're set.

That's the simple of it.  Please note that activating and registering are two different things.  Activating eliminates the 30 day trial, while registering allows you to get information and support from Adobe.  There's no penalty for registering--Adobe's privacy policy protects you even if you are using a pirated copy.
