Just curoius if anyone else plays in MMO`s here?

There more addictive than anything. I came to the conclusion that in the end there all the same though.

Play WoW. Yes, they are addictive, much more so if you actually have friends who play them as well.

I don't play any MMO's anymore, though I was big on Phantasy Star Online for Dreamcast in High School and a super sexy Monk on the Hentai RO Ragnarok Online server. Naked Kafras...Good times.

I`ve played just about everone of them up to the end of 2004. However, I seem to be EA`s bitch for paying for UO for 5 yrs. I use the term paying not necassirly playing. Although, I started playing SWG again, since on November 15 anyone can be a dam Jedi.

There basically turning SWG into WoW, but in the Starwars Universe. SoE is screwing alot of there Vet players, but there going to bring in a ton of new blood. Sony not made the offical announcement yet, but is getting redone so it can be played on the PS3. That & actually piloting an X-wing can be fun to.

Mate, I played EQ1 for close to 5 years and i can honestly say, the thing that SOE has always excelled at over all others is pissing off its entire player base on a daily basis.

I used to really be into mmo's but i think they got too easy. I liked them more when it took close to a year to make the level cap. Still, every once in a while i have to reinstal FFXI to go look at mithra's, or lineage 2 for the darkelves. Yeah, there's something wrong with me, but I like it. ^^

I find that MMO's are one of the best genre's. I play UO mostly but I think that I will start up playing Guild Wars again after showing it to a friend and remembering how great it is. I also would like to move on to WoW but I don't think that will happen soon.

I've played Diablo II since it launched, I despise WoW and I find MMOs to just be boring to me, I get off on Diablo because it's my baby, but I think besides that I wouldn't even get near another online game.

Besides me killing you in Day of Defeat, I'm not online gaming much.

Ok, I really really hate saying this (because I've always despised Blizzard, and I despise Vivendi 100,000 times more), but I think i'm about to break down and try out WoW. Yes, theres spyware, yes, theres more hackers playing it than even exist online (eh?), and yes, theres about 2 million bastered retarded 14yr old bratty ass spoiled rotten fan boys playing it..... but I despreatly need to get back into an MMO because I'm a recovering addict that needs to get off the wagon.

I'll probably start out with that free 15 day trial they have to make sure my system can handle it (my motherboard seems to like to regergate online games). Anyone else wanna come along?

shit... Am I really missing out by not having played RO? O_o

And don't worry Bill, I think I slept it off. I'm honstly starting to belive that Vivendi is using some form of brainwashing to get people to play WoW cuz I didn't read any reviews recently, or see any screenshots that would make me get an intense desire to play WoW. In fact, I had a dream about old eq and I woke up wanting to try WoW....wtf?

Yes.

RO is the quintessential anime rpg. From is bright 2D graphics to its emoticons to the fact that there's a class that revolves around ki and throwing hadokens, Ragnarok Online is not an RPG to be missed by anime fans. It's character sprites are reminscent of RPGs like Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger, and combat occurs in realtime allowing parties to gang-up and unleash combos onto enemies at their discretion.

Not to mention, it's a lot of fun. O_o

I'll look into RO then. I think i've always just been turned off by the 2-d style, when it comes to gaming, i'm unfortunatly a bit of a 3-d whore. Still, i'll take your recomendation that i'll regrete it if I don't try, sense your probably right. It deffently can't hurt.

Still, i think i'll end up on the WoW bandwagon once I can find some friends to start out with. The biggest headache for me are finding the right people to play with in an online game. And considering the demographic of the majority of Blizzards player base, I'll probably hate the game initially unless theres some decent minded mature people to group with.

For those of you already playing, what kinda of support does the game offer for solo'ing?
