More comp troubles...

so yeah. my instant messenger programs dislike connecting to the internet. i ran a scan of my MSN messenger and it said something about repairing gateways. if you have any sort of idea what that is or what needs to be done, please dont hesitate to speak up. i'd be greatly appreciative of any valuable info.
