Breaking news! Waffle, having heard of the recent team up of Pancake and Sausage, has chosen a running mate as well. Bacon! These two promise to bring a substantial meal to the breakfast tables of all true Americans (and humans), and fight against the pancake eating robot menace.

When you want a real man's meal, you turn to the breakfast that won't crumble or get soggy.
That breakfast is WAFFLE.
WAFFLE stands for character. Firm against even the toughest of silverware - it's golden texture remains gentle to the palate of every man, woman, and child, unlike the other candidate: flat and flimsy.
WAFFLE also stands for justice. If selected, every scrumptous pore is sure to get it's fair share of maple syrup. No unequal, runny mess like the other candidate.
Can't get enough WAFFLE? Can't Leggo their Eggo? Then get your own! Sophisticated research (http://www.sognadigitalmuseum.com/forum/index.php?topic=1334.msg22141#msg22141) confirms WAFFLE is served more places nationwide than the other candidate.
So tomorrow morning, reach for the breakfast that makes you smile. WAFFLE. Now and Forever.

Breaking News! As some of you may know the guys at PA are avid Waffle supporters. As such they were going to run the Waffle 2008 booth (this was before Bacon was added to the ticket) at Sakuracon in Seattle:
http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2008/3/28/ (http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2008/3/28/)
Apparently there they ran into some trouble with the management:
http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2008/3/31/ (http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2008/3/31/)
I have recieved inside info that this effort to disable the Waffle 2008 booth was instigated by the Pancake '08 committee. Don't stand for these short of cheap tricks and chicanery, be sure to enjoy a Waffle today!

I predicted this right down to the user that was gonna post the counter. XD Oh fantastic. The only bad part is you two have more time to plan shenanigans than I do. >_<

I guess it was fairly predictable who would respond. However, I'm not so sure I have more time than you do to plan shenanigans. Nonetheless I will do my best (thx to JG for his support of the Waffle/Bacon 2008 campaign).

I got BubblegumCake, which is half the girls on the forum. I'm so winning this election. XD

I suppose that is true because as we have stated before Boobs > Mods. Interesting Forum Trivia Male-Female Ratio: 8.4:1 Therefore any female vote should probably count for 8 or so times as much as a male vote in this forum. Then again the arbitrator of that should probably be HG since he owns the forum and would be the head honcho in any election.

lol. Is all I am a gambling chip to you?!?
-
No, honey, you're a powerful ally in the fight against crunchy breakfast foods.

True that. An ally that I would like to sway over to the only true breakfast.

Waffle's still got ya beat.

Last time I checked, 2-D girls WHO AREN'T REAL don't count.
-
2D doesn't count? Might I remind you that your candidate is the thin and flat one.
WAFFLE: FOR A THREE-DIMENSIONAL BREAKFAST.

He's got you there.

VOTE WAFFLE FOR Y2K-COMPATIBLE BANNERS!

He's got you there.
No, he really doesn't. It's not that 2D in general doesn't count. Some 2D counts very much. But you ridiculous 2D fantasy women most certainly do not count in this election, seeing as they're fictitious. Cake, however, is in fact a REAL woman and therefore counts more than either you or JG.
Besides, he totally loses by being 8 years too late for Y2K to matter.
-
are you kidding? Y2K is real, and it is still coming... albeit a lil late... but tis the end....

Pancake: Last enjoyed in 1908.
WAFFLE: BREAKFAST OF THE FUTURE.

::Sigh:: Just shoot me.

I'm putting on my rocket lollerskates for this one. XD

Touche. Still I will submit that the reason the pancake group will lose the election (even if they have the support of a real woman) is because most of the are non-Y2k compliant robots.

You have no evidence to support such a claim. Such mudslinging will only hurt the Waffle campaign.

All the evidence I need is that Bangdoll is a pancake loving robot. Therefore most if not all pancake lovers are robots.
-
That's the fallacy called Hasty Generalization. Just because BangDoll is a robot, it does not mean that Cake, Claver, or myself are robots. I sure hope Waffle's not applying that kind of faulty thinking to his campaign.
-
No, the fact that robots opt for pancakes is indisputable. When you think about it, it's obvious: The luxurious taste of waffles is simply too rich and complicated for machines to calculate with any degree of certainty. Robots simply can't pass the Waffle CAPTCHA test. On the other hand, pancakes are dull and monotonous across their entire surface, and are therefore much easier to represent in binary. The single digit 0 suffices.
WAFFLE: PREFERRED BY ORGANICS.
-
So you're saying it's impossible for humans to enjoy pancakes, then, and that a robots are not, and could not ever, become advanced enough to enjoy a waffle? You realize that this is an extremely racist statement that can only damage Waffle's chances in the campaign, yes?
-
Waffles are the whores of the breakfast world.
PANCAKES FOR A MORE PURE WAY OF EATING!
-
So you're saying it's impossible for humans to enjoy pancakes, then, and that a robots are not, and could not ever, become advanced enough to enjoy a waffle?
Now what was that about hasty generalizations?
Robots may one day come to truly understand the waffle (as I hope you might) but sadly today is not that day. We just don't yet have the technology to make robots understand. But if selected, Waffle promises to fund programs to design internet-connected waffle irons, the first step of many needed to instruct robots in the Way of the Waffle.
WAFFLE: FOR A BETTER TOMORROW.
-
I simply asked for clarification. Pancake won't build it's campaign upon lies.
-
Neither will Waffle's campaign. We are just informing the public as to the Pancake campaign's robot tendancies.
-
I'd say Pancake's embracing of Robots as well as Humans can only be a positive thing. Pancake is capable of reaching a wider range of voters than Waffle.
-
But, in reaching a wider audience, has equally increased oppotunity for/of rejection. I believe the saying is "don't count your chickens before they hatch," no?
-
Pancake is offended by your statement, which implies arrogance on the part of Pancake. Pancake has only stated that it is capable, and has made no trumped-up claims as to it's success. Pancake understands the need for moderation and humility.
-
I'd say Pancake's embracing of Robots as well as Humans can only be a positive thing. Pancake is capable of reaching a wider range of voters than Waffle.
While true we all know that those robots that Pancake is embrace will lead to the death of all humans. The only true and righteous path for any true human is to shun those who support the robots' lust for pancakes and enjoy a tasty waffle.
-
Oh the negativity in this thread! So many horrible implications! Such a dramatic claim, that a robot and a human could not co-exist peacefully! Pancake believes in the goodness of all users, be they human or robot, and strives for peaceful coexistence between the two. It would appear that Waffle has rather brutally denounced robots as inferior, second-rate citizens. Will humans be next to come under such an attack?

No because waffles are the meal of any true human. Also waffle does not view robots as inferior but rather, having apparently acheived sentience, as a force that will eventually exterminate all humans. Therefore we must act now to stop the robot menace.
-
You're assuming that all robots will turn on humans. While there may be some that do feel animosity towards humans, assuming that all robots do is a sensationalist declaration that will only sow discord and chaos. Why would Waffle intentionally create havoc at the otherwise peaceful breakfast table?
-
As I've already pointed out, this argument will become moot when robots become sophisticated enough to truly enjoy waffles.

True but as of yet they have not. Therefore Waffle will be cautious on the robot front.

It was not Waffle that started this battle with the robots. The robots did it themselves by condemning Waffle with no provocation.
