As stated many times before, V8 usually only works when burned to CD. If you haven't tried this already, don't complain that it doesn't work.

Look for torrents or, if you're up to the challenge, find some documentation on how to access the Japanese Share EX2 network.

You're not trying very hard. With a simple search on "VIPER" and "ソニア" I can see the following advertisted. (Though that doesn't mean they are complete and I'm not downloading them myself just to find out)

also you have to have Japanese font supported.... otherwise you'd only see strange symbols or just boxes.

but assuming your here, i'm guess you do have Japanese font supported.

You may not have enough nodes registered to be able to span the whole network.

Go to this page and add all the nodes listed. You should be able to copy and paste the encrypted strings (from Nodes tab, click Add Node, then paste int he big box at the bottom half of that window, then click Add - there won't be any message box when you do this)

Or you dont have VIPER as one of your cluster words. I'd add both VIPER and ソニア if you don't have them both active.

I dont know what to say. Maybe you just need to be patient for the hashes to be found. Share isn't exactly as user-friendly or straightforward as Bittorrent.

You could try adding me (t5sMOqNecEUmA1PqTALmIKIch2u4m5iA28Ufp82o8XMmWil6ww) as a node, but I don't know whether that will do any better.

Also adding 18禁ゲーム may provide even better results, as alot more people will have that cluster key than either VIPER or SOGNA, so your seaerches will be faster and provide more results.

Am I doing something wrong? Trying to run Viper V10 results in a "not a valid Win32 application" message popping up.

Are you running V10.EXE (correct) or SGS.EXE (incorrect)?

Tried burning it all to CD? (I doub't this is the problem given that message, but V8 requires it)

Running Vista or Windows 7?

Maybe its corrupted. If so, try these EXEs.

Thanks JGOO, that helps. I'm sure that the .exe ARE corrupted, since now when I click ViperV10 it says (with my limited Hiragana knowledge) "CD de something something shite kudasai." I'm guessing it means burn to a CD.

Is there a way I can just mount this on Daemon tools somehow? If not, do I burn the contents as an .iso?

Does anyone know what to do in the detective game in V8R? I'm up to this part with 3 choices and every choice returns to the same 3 choices. I've been picking differently but the game just continue beyond that point.

Should work mounted. Shouldn't matter how you burn it.

Someone else brought this up before and found out the correct sequence is 2, 1, 3, 1, 3, 2. I replayed it a few weeks ago and noticed there's a hint to this sequence in the dialog with the boss just after Komachikawa enters the darkened building.
