I'm thinking about merging 'The Congress of Awesome' and the 'Hentai' forum. My reasoning behind this is that neither of them are so large as to merrit being seperate sections, and besides that, hentai discussion seems to appear in The Congress of Awesome as well. It's kind of redundant to have a section for hentai when it's freely discussed in other subforums. What do you guys think?

Well maybe you should merge Hentai discussion and General Discussion, but keep the hentai forum around exclusivly for the purpose of pictures and links and the like

hmmm but what if some one wants to post a hentai link in the genral chat instead of the hentai forum although with the hentai forum for pics and links would be nice...but it could exceed bandwith if the forum is subjected to it...

Instead of making a forum for it, we could just have a thread in the Congress of Awesome for pictures and links. I don't think we'd have to worry about the forum using up too much bandwidth--that's the gallery's job. ^_^

What I'm saying is that if hentai just happens to be a reoccuring topic, but isn't discussed as rapidly as other topics and there's already hentai pictures in the CoA, then I think it would be a good idea to merge CoA and Hentai so that not only will CoA encompass a larger variety of topics, but also to show that hentai's an acceptable discussion topic throughout the forums. I mean, at a place called 'The H Forum' I'd expect to be able to talk about hentai anywhere, so it wouldn't make any sense to only be able to discuss it in a single forum, or to imply such.

Speaking of which, I'm thinking this forum could use a better name. 'The H Forum' sounds rather generic. So generic, that when I went searching for hentai sites and checked out their forums, I found a number of 'H forums'. That said, I'm open to suggestions for a better name.

Why not relign the Arcade Mode boards along series lines? One for Viper, one for VG, one for others.

you could always concolidate the viper stuff into a single "Way of the Viper" forum and let everything else go into another if you wish since viper seems to be in first place for favortism around here ^_^

A Viper forum sounds like it would work out. Variable Geo hasn't been discussed as much so a forum for it isn't needed yet.

Thanks for the Forum name suggestions guys. Keep 'em coming. I'd call the forums "Hyperguy Forums", except that I don't think I'm so important as to have a forum named after me. Ideally the forums should be able to stand on their own from the site, and I think the new name should reflect that. I'm partial to names that are video game, hentai, or engrish related.

Here's some ideas for forum names I've been tossing around:

Press Start
Genshiken
Hadokens

They're pretty horrible. Please suggest better ones. =D

I wish there was a word that encompasses such things like hentai, video gaming, and anime, and wasn't cliche like the word otaku or so Japanese to where it would have to be explained.

The H-Forum sounds good, until you do a google search on H-forums and find that every hentai site and their grandmother's forum is called the H-forum. That, and it's not like we're all about ecchi either. I think it'd help if I had clearly defined what this site was about when I first made it. Hmmm...

Let's think of what site's about...(Or rather, what happens on this site...)

It just occured to me that as far as this whole naming thing goes, "The Congress of Awesome" is powerful enough to stand on it's own.

I could see it now. It's name conjures up images of old guys in powdered wigs wapping each over the head with the blunt edge of a hentai doujinshi, and there's a speaker of the house with a guncon next to his gavel and gashapon figures lined up on the table in front of every senator. Rock.

I really wish I wasn't so wishy washy about choosing a name, since it can't be too big of a deal.

Y'know, it's like Shakespeare said, "A rose of another name would smell just as sweet," basically saying that if a rose was named something different like Hadokens Flower it'd still smell the same way.

By the way, I don't think Sogna ever gave bloodtypes or bust sizes for their characters...

Maybe not, but I bet if they did that Japanese would be all over it. I hear there's a fetish in Japan that revolves around measurements. I could see it now...

Some guy going ga ga over the number 36. "Oh, 36, 36, her measurement for that part of her body is 36! Yum!" Creepy. O_o

Speaking of bloodtypes, the way how bloodtypes are supposed to represent personality types in Japan I bet it wouldn't be too hard to guess what some of the Viper character's blood types are.

House of Hentai sounds like a great name for a forum, though we already have hentai discussions in Lurker's Haven and the Viper Forum. I wouldn't mind seeing a House of Hentai forum, except it'd be redundant since hentai's discussed so freely in the other forums.

I looked up bicameral because I never memorized that week they gave us vocabulary words in U.S. History class, and I'm still confused. I think Senate of Sin sounds like a great name for a rock band.

I think I know what you mean though. For now we're going to stick to the three main forums we have now, and we might even hold on to the Music and Arts forum if it generates enough discussion.

36 centimeters is kid-stuff. Literally. Japanese fellas are more likely to go ga ga over 96. Except for waist. No one especially wants to see a 96 waist on a girl.

I'd like to see some kind of bloodtypes <-> personality table.

Here's what I dug up on Japanese Blood Types:

Blood Type A: calm, composed, serious, reliable, perfectionist, arrogant, suppress their emotions
Blood Type B: curious, bright, cheerful, enthusiastic, superficial, unreliable, selfish
Blood Type 0: carefree, generous, independant, flexible, clumsy, flighty
Blood Type AB: sensitive, considerate, careful, efficient, strict, moody

Based on these and using the "Viper GTB Clan" as an example, their blood types would probably go something like this:

Akira: Type B
Karin: Type AB
Saki: Type A

Getting back to topic. Anyone else having problems getting sort by last post to work this month?
The most recently updated threads are showing up around 3rd or fourth on the list. I don't know if those above it are sticky or not, becuase the icon doesn't look any different.

You need to fix that Akira "jump" icon too Hyperguy, or replace it with another character that looks different. From just a peek, all that red hair just doesn't show enough difference between new posts and no new posts. Might I suggest some alternatives?
Asuka's little head bob during the Rock-Paper-Scissors game in Viper Island 2?
Chomi popping up out of the grass in the window viewer from VI5?
Karin-chan running around in the waitress game from VI5?
One of the little dojo kids going nuts in the quiz game from VI6?
Elan or Cala's cartoon fights with the monsters in stage 6 of Typing?
