I'd argue that putting together a class solely for the merits of its reborn final class is not such a great idea. Also, I'm not sure how big the extra 40 stat points really are. It might be what's needed to do as Hyperguy suggests, it might not. If anyone's reincarnated in this game then please let us know how it is; your insight would be appreciated.

That having been said, it's my understanding that crusaders are a worthwhile class to go for as long as you pick one path and stick with it...of course that's true of most classes. But building an Int crusader sounds pretty tough. If I was going to try it, I'd do it after building up plenty of cash and other resources with previous characters. I'd go the strength route as a swordsman, level up until I have the raw stat/skill points I need for and Int crusader, then just reset the stats to what I need. It sounds like Izzy is at the point where the choice has to be made, and since I haven't tried it myself the only other thing I can say is...either way, I'd like to see how the build turns out for you. Good luck.

I guess it depends on what you fight.  If you become a paladin, can't you have the best of both worlds since you'll have more stat points to go around?

I doubt it'd make that big a difference; not to mention, knowing Gravity kr and their tendency to create incredibly high powered enemies at end of the world areas in RO, I doubt a "middle of the road" type build would be anything other than a drag on a potential party.  That's just the way these Diablo-esque games are built I guess (and that's probably always been my problem with Diablo II, and the mass of Korean MMO-clones that copy the Diablo style)

BTW speaking of Paladins, what is up with that Gloria Domini or whatever it's called?  On one site I saw it was some spell that threw down this cross-like object with a set amount of damage, but on some other site it claimed that the spell was some homage to Monty Python with a giant foot stomping on your enemies?  It showed a pretty convincing pic too, on the forums somewhere.  So... err... what's up with that? (and is it better than Grand Cross or what?)
Anyone else think Crusader females look cooler than Paladin females? >_>

Hi guys! *jumps onto the scene, SF2 NEW CHALLENGER style*

I have an Acolyte who I've thought about making into a Monk, but if you guys need a Full-Support Priest, I could do that. I'd just need someone to level with me 'till I hit job level 50. My base level is...I think, 60 or 61 right now.

Um. Base level 60 is a bit late to choose which promoted job you're aiming for. I've got a full support priest, but as far as I know we don't have a monk. If that's what you want, then by all means go for it. A believe that Hyperguy thinks they're pretty cool. Just make sure you have the skill and stat prerequisites for it; a lot of the basic monk skills requires maxed out Acolyte skills that are not really compatible with full support, and the stats required are very different.

There's a quest to open the dungeon in Amatsu castle that you all probably know about. It's a great zeny mine with frequent drops of Star Crumbs and other nice items. The biggest obstacle in the quest is the swarm of Kapha that are a fair deal more difficult than what you'd be fighting in the dungeon. Most annoying is that you have to send each seperate character that you want to go to the dungeon. Despite being given a pass that can be transferred by storage, only a character that's completed the quest can enter the dungeon.

This quest is a lot easier for some kinds of characters than others. Fortunately, I can help you get to the shrine through the use of a priest spell. My priest, Anlaf, has memorized a warp point just outside the shrine entrance. With this, he can open a warp portal allowing anyone to get right through the annoying part of the quest. It's a very short walk, but you'll probably get hit one or two times along the way anyway. For that reason I recommend not trying it with unpromoted characters; they wouldn't be able to take advantage of the dungeon anyway.I'll increase your durability before you go in but you might want to bring a couple of high-strength healing items to use along the way. Also, attach a butterfly wing to one of your hot keys so that you can quickly escape once you have to leave the shrine again.

If any of you want some help to complete this quest, send me a message or just contact me in-game. Hope you find this useful.

That's harsh. I don't think I'm alone in saying that you need only ask for help in getting re-started and I'll do everything I can to get you back to where you were. Hopefully lost and found will come through for you.

Here's a couple of topics on clownphobia regarding what happened yesterday:

I re-registered and everything's fine. Hyperguy helped me catch up. I still hate that I had to re-do everything.

I just tried out WolfRO. For those who don't know, that server has ridiculously high drop and experience rates. Getting a character into the 90s level range in a couple of hours is easy there. You don't need to re-register or get a new client for it. I wouldn't try WoE in Wolf because MVP cards simply are not designed for widespread use (how does complete magic immunity sound?). However, it's a great place for experimenting with builds if you don't want to do it in Lightside. Anyone unsure how to put together a particular kind of character should consider giving it a trial run in Wolf RO, in my opinion.

Yes, it has somewhere around 13,000 times the experience rates of regular RO.  Which is like what, 1000 times what is even on LLRO?
Hilarious.

My little brother registered on Clownphobia and is playing LLRO now. I'll get his info from him later (or make him register and do it himself).

Hey folks. This is my first post on the site. I'm Roomie's lil brother. I used to lurk the forum here and there and then my bro told me about the RO guild you guys made... so here I am. I'm shooting for a Spear Knight and i'm already level 40 somethin. I forgot how crazy this game was. I've been playing FF11 for about a month now and I just needed to dig into my roots again and wonder why the hell I spend so much money on a game that difficult. That's another story though...

I think I've seen that one before; it refers to Ghost as "Sense" like I believe iRO?
Anyways, nice find, thx for the link.

Edit:  Okay, freaky experience just now.  I was minding my own business east of Prontera along the coast, hunting Smokies and Yoyos.  Then suddenly these two random players (who I later find out to be GMs though there's no way to know other than their GM abilities which I didn't recognize right away)

and they start walking RIGHT behind me.  It freaks me out (playing a female avatar it wouldn't be the first time I've been "stalked" in-game by two male characters)  so I warp away, and they warp to the EXACT same spot I warp to.  then they freeze me and I finally realize they're GMs.  Of course they never once SAID anything until I started yelling at them.  So they apologized and let me go (apparently killing one smokie per ten minutes is suspicious of being a bot?  I had just gotten to that zone too)  So now I'm freaked out about that game >_>

I'm re-downloading the client. It says it'll be done in 15 hours. I hope this is a terrible lie, but with my school's crappy network, that is likely the actual time of download. see you guys on it tomorrow.

EDIT: Nevermind. It decided suddenly it would take a day and a half. I'll just download it this weekend when everyone goes home and the network gets the strain taken off it.

I was window shopping right after setting up my own shop tonight, and as it often happens during this time, new shops crop up.  Sometimes people don't know the values of items so you get incredible deals.  In five minutes time tonight I got the following:
Matyr Card for 2 million (usually goes for 6),
Pirate's Hairband for 13421 zeny (dont know what its worth but has to be more than 13k),
and 669 Maneater Blossoms for 200 zeny each (this will easily triple my supply of plant bottles)

Broke, but happy.
