but here's one for travesty:

I swear I was wrestling with what you could have meant for like a whole 15 seconds (that's a long time for a forum post, for me, goddamnit) and 'travesty' didn't even pop into my mind.  So obious now.

Since when has anyone ever let a word not exisiting stop them from using it?

exactly!  i garignacken my patoognuhs all the time, blargety.

that aside, blitzball was a JOKE in X-2, so much so that i didn't even play it when i found out that you couldn't even control your characters anymore.  they changed up how many players were on the field, and all sorts of other retarded shit.  basically, all you do now is watch sea monkeys float around, it seems...  and i really enjoyed the blitzball game from X, i had Brother up to around Lvl. 80 or so, lol.  never did get the Jecht Shot 2, though...

and there was some crazy shit going on with Wakka, too.  didn't he always wipe his nose with his arm during battles??  also, if you had Haste on Wakka and you got the last hit in with him, it looked like he was having a seizure or something during his victory pose, lol...  but probably the most memorable thing about him was when you fought Sin on the airship with him.  it was always funny as hell watching him hurl his ball way off into the background and waiting about a good 5 seconds before it actually beaned Sin in the face.  pretty fucked up, ya?  XD

1) yeah I guess all that stuff my friends told me about Blitzball in X-2 was true >_>

2) Yes.  Like long-range artillery shells with the blitz balls.

I liked watching Wakka over the course of FFX. Of all the characters, I think I like his development best, because he changes so drastically from all the way with Yevon, to "OMFG Yevon sux I'ma bitchslap dem hoez".

Bravery is better than a faint heart for a man seeking to put his nose out of doors. My fate and the number of my days has already been decided.

Eh I dunno... Wakka just seemed to stay as the character the game intended you to view as "lol ignorant".  LIke some weird Besaid redneck.  Although I will admit by the end of the game he did change noticably into a much more favorable character (though it was kind of abrupt, no?)

I think I said it before, but I have a love/hate relationship with Kimahri.  On the one hand, he's the game's blue mage, so he's automatically pretty cool.  On the other they overplayed his whole "picked on by his peers" thing.  It was a total sidestory to the game and had almost no relation to the actual storyline itself.  It's not necessarily bad, but it's kind of hollow and vapid and misses out on a lot of Kimahri's potential.  Plus sometimes he does get annoying (nothing big, just kind of the way Ronso's talk in general it's like 'ugh')

My friend who likes Wakka, he and a friend of his utterly DESPISE Kimahri.  I forget the original reason was but as they played the game (together, they live like across teh street) they grew to hat ehim more and more.  Something kind of festered, I dunno.  They once told me about the time they kept intentionally zombifying Kimahri because they claimed it made hmi a better character overall.  That made me laugh XD

And yes, Lulu fighting with the dolls = win.  Plus her ultimate weapon WAS AN ONION KID YES GOGOGOGO FF3j!!!

And Auron spits his sake on his sword for that one Overdrive move.  That's just classy.  So is being a ghost (even if FFX's/south asia's concepts of dying and spirits is kind of weird, especially in the FFX universe) and the using one sleeve of his robe thing.

Also, just in case anybody hasn't noticed, Lulu's got a nice rack.  Just in case you missed that.

eh, i wasn't a big fan of Kimahri either.  first of all, he had a weird starting point on the sphere grid (which i thought was actually a pretty cool leveling system - it was something new, and although you could eventually get everyone to learn everything, it took a WHILE for you to do it, even with the special spheres), so it was kinda up in the air as to which way to make him progress.  second, if he's supposed to be a blue mage, then shouldn't he ALWAYS have access to his blue magic instead of only being able to use it as an overdrive power??  Kimahri not strong!  Broken horn make Kimahri retarded and talk like caveman!  >=P

Lulu was cool too, especially with the doll weapons (nothing like attacking with a Cactuar doll to cause instant death, lol) and the bustyness, although i had mixed impressions about her goth-ish look - it was cool and different-looking (all those damn belts, lol), but not all that attractive...

Auron was pretty pimp.  i really liked his character, and his Tornado overdrive was probably the coolest-looking out of all of the overdrive moves, save for the summons' overdrives and Kimahri's Supernova (of course i never used it that often since Kimahri SUCKS...).

speaking of summons, i also enjoyed how they made them much more interactive in X rather than like simple spells in the older Final Fantasies.  Anima and Yojimbo were pretty cool, along with the mainstream ones like Bahamut and Ifrit.  i also heard that the Magus Sisters were in a previous Final Fantasy game...

They were, Tetsaru. To my knowledge, they were in FF4 as a mini boss in the tower of Zot. Valvalsis's minions.

First thing you want to do is to kill the plump purple one. She can revive her sisters in a jiffy. Then you may want to kill the tall one, because she can annoy you alot. Then kill the small one, cause although she fights good, she can really annoy you. How you kill the remaining sisters is up to you, but kill the plump one first.

I liked Auron's baseball overdrive. Knockin' Malboros out of the park is the too much fun.

lol, yeah, 'cept i loved doing it to those damn Cactuars.  ejection is always fun to perform... unless it's being done to you (one reason why i hated Ruby Weapon from FF7 so much).

that also reminds me of Paine's class on X-2 (i think it was beastmaster or something like that) where she had a bird, and one of its moves allowed it to grab an enemy and fly off with 'em.  it was hilarious carrying off the really huge enemies...  XD

Some Role Playing game. You'd be amazed at how much FF7 ripped off Phantasy Star 4.

Never played Phantasy Star 4. How is FF7 ripping it off?

It's pretty much just the general plot. The main character is a blonde haired mercenary who teams up with a female brunette who gets killed by Zio, a long haired magician who's pretty much just an evil guy controlled by a higher power (Dark Force/Lassic). There's also stopping calamities (FF7 had Meteor, while PS4 had earthquakes).

There's some smaller deatils, like going into outer space, but that's just grabbing for straws. It's been awhile since I played PS4, so I'll have to go and look for some more comparisons.
