The way I see it you could have sex with a friend (fuckfriendism) and it wouldn't count as losing your virginity. That's because "virginity" to me is having sexual intercourse with the person you actually love. That's how I see it anyhow.

My longest relationship is the one I'm in now. It's been 14 months now, haha. My second longest was 5, but it was on and off because the girl was a psycho boss-head.

i've always thought the general idea of losing your virginity is simply when you have sex with someone for the first time, regardless of who they are (except for yourself.  fapping off does NOT count as losing your virginity.  it is merely a means of satisfying yourself until you do.  =3 ).  but then again, i guess it's open to suggestion, unless there's a specific dictionary definition for it.  =/

I haven't had a girlfriend in five years. It lasted fourteen months, though. That's pretty impressive, considering we were A) still in high school and B) didn't even go to the same school. I suppose it's entirely my fault we broke up. I was going to college in some faraway place and she felt abandoned so she broke it off with me. I feel pretty bad about it.

I haven't had anything even remotely close to a relationship with a female since then. I've had female friends, but they were one of the guys, basically. Well, I sort of had a girlfriend-like thing in college, with some girl in Maryland (I live in Virginia). I couldn't handle it, though. I didn't have a car or any money so I couldn't go see her whenever I had a free weekend or something. We met a couple times, once at Otakon and once she stayed at my house for five days or so.

At this point in my life, relationships aren't for me. I'm broke, unemployed, and I don't even have my driver's license yet. But I still can't get rid of that desire for companionship.

Times like this make me wish I at the very least had my own place, so I could get a cat. After my dog died in '04 my parents have been adamant about not getting any more pets. They won't even let me get a fish.

Sex? The idea of a one night stand strikes me as a bit impersonal, and for that matter I'm horribly paranoid and don't want to let some random girl I only just met into my room in case I wake up the next day to find that she's fucked off with half my stuff. Huh.  Well, I've been in a relationship for nearly 2 years now, and I think I can pick out a few things that might help you guys.

1) About finding a girl/boy (for those rare ladies out there):  Spend some time being a friend with the person first, then ask the person if they want to go for a walk or grab a bite at ANYWHERE.  Even if it's fast food.  The worst they could do to you is say "No."  Besides, it's not like you actually stand to lose anything by asking.

NOTE: For those of you that say you have plenty to lose by asking and getting rejected, you need to stop letting go of your self-esteem.

2) As for making a relationship work (for those of you interested in the long-term):  Communicate with the person you're dating.  Tell them what you expect out of a long term relationship and ask them what they expect of you.  When they do something to upset you, CALMLY tell them what they did and ask them to fix it.  Heck, suggest a way that they can change it.  And make sure that you take it well and seriously consider chaning your behavior when they come to you in the same way.

Always always ALWAYS communicate about the important things.  And be honest with the person when you do.  And for all you tough guys with no feelings, grow some balls and tell the girl you love her.  She'd appreciate it.

First, I assume nobody's surprised that I'm a 20-year-old virgin and speeding headlong into the 'dead without a girlfriend' route. If you ARE surprised, hit yourself in the face with a plank until you stop being stupid.

Let's see... It'd certainly be nice to have a girl I could hang around all the time, hug and kiss and whatnot.

Do I see this happening at any point in the immediate, near, or far future? Probably not. I have bad reasons, but reasons nonetheless.

My first kiss was with a girl named Lisa. For those who are unaware of the story of Lisa, the story is as follows:
  At JAFAX 9, a convention that took place in 2004, I was launched into two hugs without what is known as 'intention'. One, a sexy, busty blonde gal was asked by her friends to hug me and complied. That was not Lisa (and I am a total fucking idiot for being to shy to even attempt to get her name). Lisa is the second one, a pretty (but as I would learn later on, flat) girl who pretty much tacklehugged me.
  A few months pass, and thanks to an article I wrote for my site about the experiences, Lisa finds me online. She's actually kind of nice and we exchange e-mails and talk a bit.
  It's worth knowing that our tastes in anime were fairly similar, and she didn't mind my hentai bend.
  Another convention comes by, JAFAX 10. I know she'll be there, and I secretly planned to kiss her. If I took one in the crotch, hey, I probably had it coming. I do find her and kiss her on the cheek; she doesn't seem to mind.
  This is not my first kiss. This comes later in the day, as I leave, when I nervously ask if we can kiss again, which
she answers with a kiss to the lips.
  Time and a few more e-mails pass. This sees me through to a trip to Ann Arbor with one friend of mine and one friend of hers. About halfway through the trip it slowly dawns on me that she's been ignoring me the whole trip. With that, my hopes of having a girlfriend, which I thought were kinda high given what'd transpired, went right into the ground, leaving me to spend most of the rest of the trip lying about having to go to the bathroom so I could cry in private. You can call me unmanly for this and I will respond with "fuck you, asshole". I've more or less gotten over this. Nonetheless, I still hate Lisa for what she's done to me-
  -not just breaking my heart, but also causing me to start questioning girls that it seems so much like I could get along perfectly with.
  It's ALSO caused me to seriously question a friend's true intentions in regards to me and girls for unrelated-yet-not reasons, which I DEFINITELY haven't gotten over.

There you have what are called 'trust issues'. Now we go into 'environmental issues'.

  I live in a town of about 2,500 people, which is surrounded at distances of at least 10 miles each by other towns of about 2,500 people. Barely any of which, I might say, are even remotely into anime or video games (those who are? taken)- pretty much a requirement if I am to have any hope of maintaining interest or sanity in the girl. Hell, even the ones that AREN'T into anime are all taken these days, it seems.

So I have trust issues, environment issues, and 'I can't find any of the girls who go to these conventions' issues. The tridefecta of the day, to be sure.

In all, I think it's probably best I just stay my current course of action and not only continue to hug every hot cosplay girl I take pictures of at the conventions, but possibly ramp up my course of action gradually until I get to the point where I'm totally going all Tatsuya on every girl there.

Who knows, they might actually be good people! Getting shot down or rejected or dumped in a particularly bad way is no reason to not at least attempt to conversate with those who have vaginas.

And if you're too nervous to do that, a dollar will at least get you some hottie rubbing herself against you for a couple minutes ($20 for a private half hour).

I'm not much for the idea of strip clubs even though I know either Bill or my jackass brother is probably GOING to drag me to one for my 21st birthday (which I personally intended to be not much more than eating a pizza, drinking to the point of alcohol poisoning, and playing Disgaea 2 while totally bombed because I can't remember my Maple password), even if they have to break out the chloroform to get me to do it. It's not a matter of finding the concept repulsive (although I fucking hate girls who noticeably force that tarting-up), it's more a matter of cost-reward.

To me, there is no point in spending my shitty McDonald's paycheck in order to have T&A wiggled in my face that I can not touch or touch myself to thanks to indecent exposure laws being as they are. I guess I wouldn't give a rat's ass if it weren't my money I was spending, but aside from, no.

I at least get a few hours' play out of the PS2 game.
