Im totally blind dead about their animations. I only have 3 gifs from RSR but I can't seem to find more. I see more but you have to join to get them, and when I join and try to see them THEY ARE UNAVAILABLE! I need links or help to find good animations!! :og

Edage Katsura. I can't confirm V10 since there's no credits for that one, but he was designer and lead artist for CTR and RSR, maybe some others.

Hyperguy sure has one kick ass forum. I have found more Viper content here than anywhere else on the web. But I still can't find the complete RSR gif collection (especially the news ones from the DVD rom). I know you posted a few link to sites in the previous posts for RSR gifs, but they don't work or they are no longer up. Is there anyone out there that can send them to me in a zip file or something? Hyperguy can you send them to me? RSR is my favorite! HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!

I haven't found the extra animations from RSR DVD animated yet. It shouldn't be too hard to do though, since there's only around 3-4 extra animations.

More than 3-4: The monster rape ending. The brainwashed Cala ending (my favorite). The Captive Girl F / Robot scene. The extended Princess Julietta / Diablo scene.... Add in the Skullbird fight (she's topless) and that makes five scenes alone, worth at least 15-20 animations.

If I made the raw pictures available, would someone else take the time to convert to high-quality animated gif? I'd do it myself were it not for other projects.

I won't bother with added scenes that don't have the girls in them (such as animations of Diablo during the Julietta scene or any of the DVD-only monsters other than Skullbird)

Monster rape ending: 863, 864, and 865
Brainwashed Cala ending: 717
Extended Julietta / Diablo scene: 821C, 821D, 821E, 825B, 830B, 830C, 830I, 830J, 830K, and 830N
Captive Girl F / Robot Scene: 728, 729, 730, 731, and 732A
Skullbird fight: 855, 857, and 858

That's 22 animations. Some of them might supply more than one depending on how you make them into gifs.

I am downloading that torrent as we speak, thanks a bunch. I tried to use EMule but it lags like a tractor in mud. No thanks. But I really wanna see the extened gifs of Julietta/Diablo scenes. And where would I start looking? I tried google and they suck... whats a good searcher for this kind of stuff? What do you guys use?

p.s. I know this is totaly off totpic but if you haven't seen the new Batman movie you're really missing out. Best superhero movie EVER. And yeah, its way better than Tim Burton's.

eMule? I don't know, whenever I tried Kazaa and Grokster for Viper games they never worked, I ended up missing a bunch of files.

It's a shame, I've been a Viper fan for years, and I still haven't played any of the games. <_<

I know where you can get a ton of RSR gifs though.

I was going to work on animations for the RSR dvd edition (make the ones that aren't in the normal GIF pack running around). The problem is that I get errors when I try to extract everything using Grapholic.

Any suggestions?

Yes. The images that don't extract are the maps from the game, and their dimensions are larger than Graphaholic supports. Everything else should extract so long as the proper plug-in is selected.

Since Hyperguy's too busy to give the instructions on how to use the right plugin...

Select the sgs.dat file in Grapholic.
Right click and select the context menu option ending in (G) with T out to the side.
Choose sognadat from the list and Click ok.
Double-click on the now recognized sgs.dat file and it'll extract.
After extract, select all the .anm files under the ANM folder, right click and select the context menu option ending in (E) with X out to the side. This extracts each frame to a bitmap, saving them in the folder selected.

I presume thats your problem, not the issue with maps...

Been playing Viper RSR lately and I got a couple of questions.

1. Did this game feature a replay mode like V-16, GTB, F40, etc?

and

2. How do you get the remaining scenes?

The only fight I lost on purpose that gave me an additional scene was against the Lizardman wannabe with the cell keys in the tower dugeon.

Game's pretty strict on where you can go so going to different areas is out. And I can't seem to figure out anything else other than trying to leve up as much as possible before taking on the world, which doesn't seem to have done anything yet.

Yes it has replay. It follows GTB and F40, showing you only the scene istself instead of V16's replay method (becuase obviously, no ones going to wait for the story to be told from the beginning)

I think losing the fights against the elemental sphere keeping monsters and the bosses are the only ones that get you additional bad ending scenes. I know off the top of my head that losing to Squid Devil will result in Jota getting raped.
The RSR artbook has a walkthrough with enough pictures for us English folk to follow where you're supposed to go and who to talk to. You might want to pick that up on ebay (it appears every few weeks or so for around $35.) Or you can wait a few months until I get around to making an English walkthrough for it.

it plays like a normal hentai video, and you can actually enjoy it more than just watching the GIFs one by one *rolls eyes*

i might torrent it one day in 4chan, once i finished with some downloads

The pink haired elf fighter-mage is Cala (proncouned kah-la)
The human archer is Jota (pronounced yo-ta)
The elf princess is Julietta.
Your two fellas are Elan (the swordsman) and Alfa (the boman)
The monster king is Diablo.
The monster general that looks like an insect is Veloce (pronounced ve-lo-chey)
The monster with the long fingernails is Maranero.

Everyone else is minor or has no special name.

Second, I'd like to ask if Cala has ever appeared in any doujin. I've looked through the gallery, but didn't see any of her. She and Miki are my favorites, but unfortunately they tend to get overshadowed by the succubi girls (not to deny them any of their well deserved fandom!)

If anyone can direct me to where I might find any Cala (or Miki) stuff outside of the gifs from the game, I'd really appreciate it.

Viper RSR came out long after the official V series doujins were printed, so you won't see her in any. Of course, theres probably some obscure doujin someone in Japan has done that features her, but I've never seen it.
Miki shows up in V1, V2, and V3 - those are in the gallery. I dont think she big parts in any of them though.

Other stuff can be found in the digital illustratiosn sets, artbooks, or on fan artists sites. Graf Zeppelin (http://www.page.sannet.ne.jp/ta152/) and NARUHO (http://naruho.e-city.tv/) are two that are heavy on Viper content.

Thanks JG00, as disappointing as that news is. I was thinking about it after I posted, and I think that I just might have to make my own fanart of the lovely and underappreciated Cala. I, however, do appreciate your prompt response, even though I am brand new here. I hate to say hello with a request, but I hope to become a contributor in the future, if school and work will allow.

I am also interested to know the answer to Parshias' question. I've never played the full game myself and would love to know the whole story.

I haven't seen Cala in any doujin, though I know Miki is in a few of the ones in the doujinshi anthologies. Which sadly, I haven't finished uploading. (I get sidetracked really easily because I try to do many, many things at once. D: )

I'll look through my stuffs and get back to you if I find any really nice or rare images of either characters. I know I have at least one image of Cala no one's ever seen. I have a few really rare images, but some I don't post at all because A)they're low quality or B)they're bitmaps and need to be optimized before they can be posted.

Yes the RSR artbook has a few Cala pics; some of these are repeated in the digital illustrations 2000 sets (commenly known as R, G, and B) AS I understand it, theres alot of new Cala stuff in the Evolution and LTD artbooks, but alas, I dont have them or know anyone that does. Maybe thats where Hyperguy's mysterious never-before-seen picture comes from?

I'll do the best I can on this RSR walkthrough. I apologize for any typos.
Page 1:
Top half introduces the four classes of "citizens" in the land of Alitalia: Monsters, Half-elves (Julietta is pictured), Elves (Cala and Elan), and Humans (Jota and an innkeeper)
Bottom half is map of Alitalia, showing the locations of cities. Caves and Diablo's castle are not labeled.

Page 2:
Maps of the castle town of Alitalia and the castle. Gives a sentence or two about the relatively few places you can go and the suprisely few people you can meet and talk to, considering this is the biggest city in the game. (Kind of reminds me of the opening city from Final Fantasy 1.) Since I've played most of the game, I know you meet Julietta briefly, then meet the king who orders you to go save some girls being held hostage in a nearby cave. Cala joins Elan at this point and as you leave the city, Alfa hooks up as well.

Page 3:
Map points out a cave to the northeast called the Monster's Den. At the lake beside it, you find discarded womens clothes. The save itself is pretty short. In it you find Maranero, the fingernails monster, who you beat up to rescue a girl. When the party returns to Alitalia, monsters are ransacking the city. Apparently the party is no condition to help right now, so they leave the defense of the city to the army. Diablo is seen carrying off Julietta's body, so I presume the party decides they shoudl follow him instead.

Page 4:
The party moves southeast to the town of Bora. In Bora they meet Miralda, Jota's mother, who says her daughter is out hunting int he nearby cave (or something along those lines). The heros go "rescue" her from a killer mushroom and she joins the party.

Page 5:
To the southwest of Alitalia is the town of Merak. The party stops there to upgrade equipment and rest up. The party goes back to Alitalia and finds the city is in ruins. The king's body has been impaled and now stands as a public warning to all who oppose the monsters. They find a man who had helped them earlier has been gutted. The rescue this man's daughter from Maranero, who for the second time is interrupted as he's raping a human girl. After this episode, there seesm to be some sidequest invoving Alfa and his relationship to Elan. Jota is kidnapped during this quest. Presumably the cutscene involving Diablo's impregnation of Julietta are played out around this time.

Page 6:
The party moves far to the west to the town of Khamsin. There's a church here, and the priest tells Cala that more girls are held captive in a tower to the north. This is a big dungeon - 5 floors (the others have only been 1.) On the second floor the party goes rescues a girl from a half-cow half-human monster named Akahara.

Page 7:
Continuing in the tower. On the third floor is the jail, where Jota andmaybe 8-10 other girls are being held. The party beats upa lizard monster named Tokage-ron to free them. On the fourth floor is a pair of insectoid bosses named Alpha and Beta U-de (pronounced ooh-de) who merge their bodies together intoa s tronger fighting force. At the end of the final floor, the party meets Veloce who uses magic to subdue the party. Apparently Cala is not affected. She tried to escape but is captured by Veloce.
The other three members of the party return to Khamsin. Later, Veloce marches Cala down like a dog and shows off that he and the monsters are powerful and the humans and elves are weak. The priest tells them to journeysouth to the desert oasis of Gibri to learn about a force stronger than Veloce's magic. There, they learn that in order to defeat Veloce, they will each need some kind of sphere of power.

Page 8:
The part searches out three caves across the land for the monsters that protect these spheres. Cala's numerous cutscenes of being raped by the monsters play out aroudn this time in the story. Alfa's water crystal is held by Squid Devil. Jota's fire crystal is held by a translucent Crystal Monster, who must be forzen before he can be damaged by Jota's arrows. Elan's lightning crystal has no special boss in the regular version, but is held by Thunder Bot in the dvd version. Each of these bosses has his own human "pet" who the team rescues. Once all three crystals are in hand, the party returns to the tower, defeats Veloce, and rescues Cala. Back in Khamsin, they try to heal the brainwashed and shellshocked Cala. The lightning crystal seesm to make her remember, and she goes nuts for a little while. Later that evening she goes to Elan's room in the inn to apologize for all the trouble she put them through. They start to make out and get ready to do it but she's too terrified by it so Elan stops (bastard!) and they just go to sleep in each others instead.

Page 9:
Now that Cala is her confident self again, the full party advances to Diablo's castle in the far north. His castle is five floors but not quite the maze Veloce's tower was. The party gives him a asskicking and saves Julietta. Everyone rides in a carraige back to Khamsin, but when they get onthe outskirts of the city, the priest is there and tells them the town is under attack by monsters. Cala foolishly rushes toward the city and Elan and Alfa follow to ready themselves for battle. Julietta has a beter idea and she and Jota make way for the ruined church. AS the abttle ensues she gets everyones attentiona nd informs the monsters they're master is dead but that she's pregnant with his rightful heir. The monsters decide to make peace.
INt he ending, Cala and Elan are on a hill looking down at the rebuilt city of Alitalia. They remark about Julietta and her little boy (he's "horny" - literally) and about how Alfa and Jota are getting along now that they are presumably married. (Jota is giving him orders and he seems totally unable to resist her scolding.) Cala lays her head on ELans shoulder and somehow they know they love each other. The end.

Yeah, its kind of a wimpy story ala Final Fantasy 1. What!? You were expecting a Tales game or something?

Ah, many thanks, that really ties some stuff together for me. I gather from the summary that RSR is a mostly text-based game? There doesn't seem to be many battles, although there's atleast one alternate failed ending in there. (most likely the scene where Jota is raped by that blue-ish demon and the blue-haired hero gets stabbed in the head)

Finding images of Cala was much more difficult. Bottom line, there just isn't many official art of her avaialable, at least compared to art of other characters.

JG, thanks a lot for the walkthrough. A lot of things make much more sense now, and I'm finally able to tell what order those disparate GIFs should go in.

And Hyperguy, I'm gratefull for all the stuff that you've found on Miki and Cala. Those will make excellent references for fanart. Unfortunately, now I have to find a whole new reason for procrastination.

No, RSR seems mostly driven by animation, not by the text. That's probably why the plot is fairly straightforward.

Dama_morri, the things that you've asked for can already be found on the board. I'd recommend that you look back through the RSR thread as well as the Viper Links thread and animated GIFs threads and use the search feature, rather than asking the mods to do it for you. This is what I've done with Cala, and only afterwards did I ask if anyone had any images that were not covered there, like those in the art book. Once you look around, you'll find the few GIFs that feature Jota pretty quickly.

The kind gentlemen on this board have gone out of their way to find pics for me and tell me where to find them myself. If you help yourself first, I think that they will be happy to give you a hand.

Say, I have a question regarding some of the RSR GIFs. In a few of them, it appears that Cala is going down on and having sex with someone who appears to be human but his face is never seen. It is difficult to tell for sure, but it seems that Veloce is nearby or in a few of these GIFs. So, is this indeed a human character? If so, who is he? The walkthrough that JG posted just mentioned that a lot of Cala's scenes occured at a certain point, but I'm not sure how these fit in.

It's Elan, the red headed elf warrior. In the DVD version of RSR, Veloce makes Cala give a blowjob to and mount Elan. She fucks him for a bit, and then Veloce casts a spell which causes the screen to spiral and then turn red. Because of how it plays out, I'm assuming Veloce kills them with the spell. That's some bad end.

I think that's the ending you get if you lose to Veloce. Sadly, its the -only- scene in RSR that features a human-human scene. All the other ones with Cala are going to be with monsters (a golem, a zombie hound, maranero, veloce, or some pigheaded monster)

As far as we can tell, yes. Of course, it may just be that Squid Devil injures her but I think you're led to believe its becuase she's a virgin. We can assume the same about Julietta as well, form the blood after its over. We don't see enough of Cala's first scene with Veloce to know or not.

Oh sorry. Its lizard though, not a snake. (The tokage in his name, Tokage-ron, translates to lizard.)
The lizard you would encounter first (just prior to having Jota rejoin the party), then the squid (when Cala is prisoner of Veloce), then the boar ("dying" after you have Cala back in the party)
You can not see a sex scene with Jota in the course of beating the game. Any of the scenes involving her being raped ends in Game Over.

Use *open square bracket* img *close square bracket* url *open square bracket* /img *close square bracket* to insert images.

She does in some, and doesn't in others. She does not in her early rape scenes (Veloche and the golem), then does in later scenes (for example, with Maranero). She has less, but still some, in the abbreviated Elan scene and even less again in the DVD-only bad end where she mounts Elan. So.. my guess is that normally the answer is no, but the monsters wouldn't give her any sharp blades while she was held captive. In other words, it looks like she shaves.

A few questions, if I may...

So, I've finally downloaded the Viper RSR 295 GIF Collection torrent, and I've noticed that there is at least one that I had previously that was not included in that collection.

Now I know that there are some from the DVD that are not in that collection, but I have one GIF that takes seems to fit right amongst 153, 154, and 155. It features Cala with her mouth closed like in 153, then opens her mouth as it is in 154, but then Maranero shoots his load all over, which we see the result of in 155. The weird part is that Maranero isn't jerking in it like he does in 153 and 154.

So how does this fit in? Where is it from, and why wasn't it included in the collection? It's one of my personal favorites.

Additionally, are there more animations from the DVD of Cala beyond that sex scene with Elan that ends with Veloce evidently killing them?

Your guess is as good as mine, but I believe the reason why it wasn't included was because of the animation's dimensions and file size. Just a hunch, since in that scene animation frames stretch vertically for two screens. I think the person who originally animated it had trouble including it so they axed it altogether.

There's the scene of her with Elan that you mentioned, and the scene where her and Jota are being fucked by monsters in a dungeon...

I don't think so. Most of the extra scenes in the DVD version come from the electric golem monster and the Diablo and Julietta scene.

I guess that my confusion stems from a lack of understanding about how these GIFs are made or extracted from the game. I've read over the GIFs from .dat files thread, but I'm still at a bit of a loss.

My best guess is that these gifs came from Japan. Japanese Viper fans probably used Graphaholic or a similiar program to extract all of Viper RSR's animation frames and reanimated them and distributed them over Japanese p2p networks, and because the internet is such a big place and interconnected with the rest of the world, they eventually found themselves circulated among people from other countries.

My interpretation of the ending is that the monster king guy was telling the human queen he's kidnapped that the war between their two kingdoms has gone on way too long and their kingdoms are destroying each other. Her having his kid is the only way to unite the human and monster kingdoms that he can think of, as in he would of prefered to do it consensually but time won't let him. He really does die at the end, using just enough power against the players to sell being killed in battle to any witnessing monsters. The heroes get the queen back, she's preggers, and when she sees the burned out battlefield toward the end she decides that he's right. Having his kid will set events into motion that will stop the two kingdoms from tearing themselves apart, I'm betting she even believes that he would have prefered to not have had to been raping her to get her pregnant.

The statue thus isn't toward the new king so much as a sort of "years ago his vision saved us all" sort of thing.

I don't speak a word of Japanese so don't quote me but that's how I read it.

If you look at the raw ripped images from the game, there is usually a background image and then images that change that are superimposed on the background, similar to how old cartoons were made. Who ever did the gif didn't align the two images before they merged then together. If someone who has the game can rip the raw images, it's easy to use a gif animator to correct it.

Well, because Viper RSR was only released in Japan, Japanese people have been using Graphaholic to extract CG for way longer than people from other countries, and because they've had access to Viper RSR since its release date and probably are dedicated enough to go through the excruciatingly slow process of animating 1000+ animation frames. Hell, knowing Japan a bunch of otakus probably got together, put on kamikaze headbands, and spent an entire night working on nothing but animating Viper RSR gifs with only taking occaissional breaks to fap. It's the Japan way(or at least, a gross misrepresentation created by a westerner's limted perspective of Japan fandom. D: )

BTW, redux: the names Cala and Elan come from the RSR artbook, considered a stronger source of canon than telecas.

The RSR artbook has a walkthrough with enough pictures for us English folk to follow where you're supposed to go and who to talk to. You might want to pick that up on ebay (it appears every few weeks or so for around $35.) Or you can wait a few months until I get around to making an English walkthrough for it.

Been awhile, but is there any sure fire ways to lose to the squid devil? Even if I don't attack, my partners still manage to kill it without my help.

Then you've probably leveled up too much to lose to him. It probably takes some luck too, becuase the enemies don't take much to put down at a high enough level (even Diablo falls easily if you're leveled up enough)

Thanks for the tip. Got another question. In the cave where you first join forces with the bow and arrow girl, is it possible to leave without killing any of the monsters? This is the only place where it seems I'm force to kill non boss-type monsters in order to advance.

Also don't know if anyone else noticed it, but you can still get level ups even when you run away from battles.

The hound's at the beginning of the cave, after Alfa rescues her from it she gets him to go into the cave with her to take care of the rest of the monsters in there.

Since all the enemies in the cave appear in specific spots rather than randomly I guess they could all count as bosses too in a way. They are event battles anyway.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's no way to proceed without clearing out the cave. That's basically the whole objective of the chapter, after all. There's probably a way to hack the save to trick the game into thinking you fought them all, but all I know how to do is change levels and characters. That could at least help you to get through the battles faster anyway.

Purple guy raping Cala? Oh you gotta be more specific than that. Okay, you're likely talking about Maranero since all the other monsters that rape her are more blue than purple, but even then there are two distinct scenes where Maranero does her.

If you mean the first time where her reactions are shocked and distraught, it basically looks like he's forcing her to beg for it. There are quite a few lines he speaks and then she reluctantly repeats back to him, along with a bunch of recognizable "kudasai"s to show he's turning her into a polite sex slave.

I mean sure, it doesn't translate Japanese to English so much as it translates Japanese to an English-like gibberish, but how hard is it to interpret that gibberish given some knowledge of the setting and some minor familiarity with the original text?

They're funnier before I look deeper into the line and paraphrase, I shouldn't even bother with that.

"Two degrees of something yadda yadda and no one dares oppose him." was originally "Two degrees the person who opposes is not present, the sea urchin...." Why did I take out the bit about the sea urchin? It came out of nowhere, that was way better.

I actually have a working copy of the DVD edition. (No e-mails or PMS for it please.)

I downloaded a torrent called "[KnE] Viper RSR DVD Edition" or something. It has a working emulator that will play the game. I could give it to Hyperguy if I could just find a way to give it to him. Maybe I could find the torrent again later.

Edit: It's 1.66 GB, which is fairly big, emulator program included. Pretty huge but I don't know how to seed a torrent yet. Too large for a normal e-mail also. MSN at least.

Double Edit: Actually I have a G-mail account and supposedly the max size is 2.7 GB. I could send it to hyperguy through that hopefully.

It would be up for download already if not for the ridiculous size. M3 3.5 is similar in filesize and look how long the bandwidth on that lasted.

M3 is about 1/3 the size of RSR DVD. And it wasn't bandwidth that killed my connection - just bad luck in timing.
Had RSR DVD won the poll, it would have been hosted instead. I was not all that concerned with file size to be honest. Just wanteds to gives the peoples whats they wants.

im actually playing the game and trying to lose to the squid boss and cant do it..
ive even managed to reach him without gaining a single level and still cant lose to him

it is possible right?

is there some trick to it?

DVD version has a number of additional scenes and some existing scenes were lengthened. For example the Julietta/Diablo h-scene is at least twice as long in the DVD edition. Think of it as the "director's cut", like they do with movies.

Sogna either cut the extra animations in order to fit onto CD media (the game disc is nearly full), or decided to cut certain animations to meet a release date (the game was already long overdue), or maybe a little bit of both.

Hello guys. I hope it's ok to bring back this topic... eventhough it's kinda old, it's my understanding this is probably the closest thing to an official Viper RSR topic you guys ever had.
Reading this topic I noticed some people started to translate a few scenes, mostly those involving Cala facing Veloce.
I happen to have translated these scenes today when I replayed the game. I know a bit a Japanese - at least enough to understand such games, so if it's ok I'd like to correct what was posted already, since I spotted some errors.
Would that be ok ?

I hadn't played it for years but I recently restarted a playthrough. I'm still amazed at how well crafted it is. People at Sogna were really talented. Such a shame it died.

By all means post your translation. Most of the work going on right now is on the programming side. Translation tends to go slow so it's always good to have more people around that can contribute to that.

Well, I didn't know there was still an ongoing translation project...
I just happened to browse this topic and noticed what I think are small errors in some of the translations already posted. Since I have a bit of knowledge regarding Japanese language, I just thought I would go and submit a few fixes, if that could help whoever are working on those.

Oh, now I see. It seems you used an online translator. Babelfish? That would explain why some parts sound so weird.
Here's my take on the scene where Cala encounters Veloce for the first time :

[カーラ]あ～あ、なんか見た感じ虚弱体質っぽいわね～。
Aah, no matter how I look at it this one, it seems so frail.

[ベローチェ]何物だ?
Who are you?

[カーラ]精騎軍の騎士カーラ。...女の子の敵は許せないの。あんたみたいなのがね。

Looking back at that scene, I can't help but find it a bit amusing.
I remember back when I first played the game, I did feel bad for Cala.
Sure, her fate is quite sad, but I guess she had it coming for being so full of herself ever since the beginning of the game. She kept on bragging about how strong she was to the other characters, so it was only a matter of time before she got told. Way to under estimate your enemy, girl.

I can see where Sogna were coming from with this. It's definitely a turn on to see such a strong woman ending up so powerless like this. Don't you think :) ?

Hi, I'm new to this board and have a question.

Has anyone managed to pull pics of the maps (dungeons, cities, outside) out of RSR? As mentioned earlier, Grapholic does not work for that, and while I got .anm files by using Unpack and Divider I could not open/convert them with the ANM Editor.

I'd really like to have the maps and wanted to save me the pain of doing dozens of snapshots in-game.

BTW, great job being done here. Lots of information, tools, links, pics, translations.

The problem: Grapholic has an output memory buffer of 2048 x 2048 pixels, which isn't big enough for the maps in RSR. ANM Editor does not have that restriction.

The solution you can use: The trick is to let Grapholic extract the ANM files from SGS.DAT, but not try to extract BMPs from the ANM files. Then you can use the ANM files in ANM Editor.

The solution I actually used: I've written a program to do the same thing Grapholic does, but with the correct SGS decompression algorithm (so it doesn't crash on Guynarock R), and no restrictions on image size.

The answer: RSR maps in a ZIP file (http://www.jonathandgriffith.com/files/forum/rsr_maps.zip)

部下の教育をやりなおさなければいかんな。	As their superior, I must retrain my subordinates. (I imagine you had trouble with the baikan part at the end, which means supervisor.) I guess it could also translate it to "A superior must retrain his subordinates.", depending on context. Unless a personal pronoun (ore, watashi, watakushi) is given, Japanese is often vague over whether a statement is talking about oneself, or just somebody in general.
