How many Super Mario fans we got here?
Myself i have a few games featuring Mario...
Donkey Kong Classics (NES: Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr.)
Super Mario All-Stars (SNES: SMB.1-3 and SMB.2 Japan/Lost Levels)
Super Mario Advance (GBA: SMB.2 and Mario Bros.)
Super Mario Advance 4 (GBA: SMB.3 and Mario Bros.)
Super Smash Bros. Melee (Gamecube)
Some of my faves...
Fave hero: Luigi
Fave princess: Peach/Toadstool (Though I thought Dasiy from Mario Land 1 was cool)
Fave villian: King Bowser Koopa
2nd Fave villian: King Wart
Fave oddball character: Wario
Fave suit: Basic Raccoon Tail
I also have a bunch of the old comicbooks, some of my faves were the Gameboy issues featuring Mario Land 1 stories.Tatanga rocked in that comic!I'm also one of the few i know of who actually like the Super Mario Bros. movie.I liked the different take on the characters, plus i though the main cast of Bob Hoskins (Mario),John Leguizamo (Luigi), King Koopa (Dennis Hopper) and Daisy (Samantha Mathis) were great.
Even though i have Mario All-Stars,the GBA versions of SMB.2 and 3 are my faves.

I have played almost no game boy mario's... mostly because I never owned a Game Boy, and in fact did not take a liking to portable gaming until the GBA (though I did own a game boy color for a little while), and the SP. On the DS, I own Mario & Luigi Partners in Time.. that's a sequel isn't it? What was the name of the first one?
Anyways I've played most of the SM games on home consoles, but not all. I still have yet to play Sunshine (I plan to one day though, just have money problems + difficulty finding it).
On NES own only Super Mario 3; but on SNES I have both Super Mario World and All-Stars. Of course own Super Mario 64, and Super Smash Bros. and SSB Melee. N64 Mario Tennis, and like the first three Mario Parties. Hmm, all I can think of right now. Oh, and Luigi's Mansion (hey it ain't that bad ffs) Oh and N64 Yoshi's Story.
Oh and one of those side mario games on SNES, I don't own, but rented once and enjoyed the crap out of - Mario Lost in Time, I think it was? Where you play as Luigi with Yoshi going through time trying to find Mario ^^ I believe that game was panned like a lot of those side Mario games were, but I thought it was awesome.
Oh, and every Super Mario Kart game. SNES, MK 64, Double Dash, and Mario Kart DS.
Favorite character, funnily enough, is the generic koopa troopa in original Mario Kart. Driving him was bad-ass U_U Though I heard Dry Bones was unlockable in the DS version, I haven't done that yet. If so, that would upgrade him to the best U_U
Of course they're both generic so... eh, I dunno about favorite unique character.
But favorite suit... is tough. Toss up between the three: raccoon tail, tanuki suit, or frog suit.
Only Mario comic I have is in a Nintendo Power issue that I bought from a newsstand a loooooong time ago; before I subscribed to NP. I think it had Felix the cat on the cover, or it might have been another one I bought. (Or maybe Felix was the one with that awesome Zelda comic? Bah I forget)
Oh, and I also liked the live action Super Mario Brothers movie. I mean I could see why some people disliked it, but I still thought it was a pretty good interpretation in its own right (I think people were, arguably rightfully, expecting it to be a big dip into the standard storyline). And yes, for some reason Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo as the Mario Brothers was somehow fitting ^^ But mostly because Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo kick ass.
Oh I also have Super Mario RPG and the two Paper Mario games. And everybody knows they love King Koopa, if only because using him in SMRPG was fricking awesome. Speaking of, Geno gets props for being awesome in that game too XD

Mario is the MAN, the avatar of gaming itself. you can't like gaming and not like Mario - that's just a sin.
i'd have to say some of my favorite Mario games were Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, and Mario Tennis, mainly since it was one of the few multiplayer games i really got to play with other people during the time, plus Waluigi just rocked. i hope he makes it in Super Smash Brothers: Brawl... as for my least favorite Mario game... probably Super Mario Bros. 2, since the whole throwing vegetables at enemies instead of jumping on them really upset the whole Mario "template" that gamers know today. that, and Wart never made another appearance, to my knowledge... yet. i also didn't like the first game Mario ever appeared in - Donkey Kong. old-school games like that are cool and everything, but they have such a lack of control that frustrates me immensely - mario shouldn't die just cause he fell too far down. if it was a bottomless pit, then yeah... but when you die just cause you don't know how far you can put a character to the edge of a platform without making him fall off (suddenly remembers the old megaman games) while trying to make that tricky jump... it makes you wanna pull your hair out sometimes. >_<;

Hallelujah, brutha!
And on SMB2; yeah, it was based on Doki Doki Panic in NA. However, I did enjoy the new characters introduced to the Mario universe when the developers completely redid everything in DDP to SMB2, like King Wart et. al.

Yep you got me I'm a mario fan

Mario is a great series.
And as for the movie IG13, you have to take it for what it is, it was from a time when Video Game movies were new ideas, and we really wern't able to familiarise ourselves with the genre, it was made edgier for the sake of selling more tickets/etc. It was released during that whole "Grunge" scene. So it was naturally going to be darker.
Dennis Hopper as King Koopa was the SHIT. By the way.
My favourite game in the Mario Universe was Mario 64, but if you wanna go with my second favourite and the one that keeps me coming back more often (Since my brother owns the N64 and it's always at my mothers house, which is a place I avoid like STDs) is Super Mario Brothers 3 on the NES.
Damn skippy. Speed runs on that game are just plain FUN

I am a freakin' PSYCHO in mario games.
SMW: 100% in 4 days. Princess Saved, All Yoshis, 340/340 Dragon Coins. Maxed Score in 3 weeks. And then, came the after-game vacation- fooling around on every level. I had 5 yoshi Fireballs on screen that killed everything in their way, managed to walljump, ride an invincible koopa shell, man that game was awesome.
RPG Series: SMRPG was one of the best Mario games out there. A WIDE variety of enemies, funny moments (Who remembers the Valentina battle? :D) A good storyline, the best sidequest boss in Mario games (CULEX IS FUCKIN' HARD.), and of course, the great Geno.
Mariokart: 64 was my first one, and most favorite, mainly because the graphics, music, and menu style gave you the feeling that you were BLATANTLY playing a video game. It was such an awesome game.... Super Mario kart & Super Circuit threw me out of the series though- I wasn't as used to the drifing controls. Mariokart Double Dash pulled me back in, though- mostly due to the craziness that was the Bowser shell. When I got Mariokart DS, I finally became my best in Mariokart. Chaining together Mini-turbos, 3-staring every track, It's the only Mariokart other than 64 I 100%'d. Dry Bones is in there by the way, Bang Doll. He also gets a tank to drive around in. One of the best characters. And for those who are addicted to nostalgia, there's a certainRobot to play as once you unlock everything else. Then after the racing comes a whole new set of challenges- Mission mode, Conquering Wi-Fi, battle mode (against CPUs for the first time, too!) I think it's almost perfect- just needs more explosions.
New Super Mario Bros: I did to it what I did to SMW... with the exception of the maxed score. Even still it cowers in the corner just because I can speedrun through the Final Castle.
3D Marios: *Runs*
Future Mario games: Just wait until I get Mariokart Revolution *eyes glow evilly*
Mario Comics: I just have "Super Mario Adventures" but at least it's proof that goombas have arms:

Mario is greatness in every sense of the word
My favorite's are Mario Kart for the Gamecube
And another one i liked was the remake ofMario vs Donkey Kong for the gameboy advance, that was hot,and to think a plumber would be so athletic
-
New Super Mario Bros for the DS is cool, but it dosen't do anything new for the series.

Funny. Looks like the goomba's other foot to me.

The goomba's feet are the green things, and the brown thing is in the position to be an arm.

It's in position to be an ARM. NOTHING ELSE!

I dunno I mean goombas have to reproduce somehow right? They're as populous as bunnies.

According to the SMB instruction manual (Or SMB DX, one of them) Goombas are traitorous citizens from the mushroom kingdom corrupted by Bowser's magic.... Then again, in SMW, Magikoopas can create koopas out of spin blocks, so they can probably create goombas from inanimate objects too.

oh come on I'm trying to be a total perv here and in one fell swoop you dashed my dirty, childhood-breaking dreams =(

Go for something relating to Bowser and Peach's relationship next time. Why else would she be so easily kidnapped when she owns the guy 24/7 in SSBM?

Well I think that's because Peach couldn't fight back in previous mario brothers, because that's before she got her awesome combat training from Pai Mei previous to Mario RPG.
She was probably all tied up with chains and stuff too.
looks like PRE-SSBM Peach was into a little BDSM KNOWWHATIMSAYIN

Yeah, but that's just too easy.
-
Good point, but most of the times Mario rescues her, she's not bound in chains, but waiting near the battle arena.
In SMB, she just stood there, telling you that your quest was complete. No chains, no nothing.
In SMB 3, she was crying, waiting for mario in a room by herself..... or hoping bowser would beat mario and get back to her....
In SMW, she was in the "Koopa Klown Kopter" and didn't sem to be in chains.... in fact, I think that she could've jumped out instead of throwing a Mushroom and Mario could catch her. Hence I think that she was giving Bowser a blowjob.
Post-SMRPG:
Mario 64: Sealed in a painting.... what, was that Bowser's version of porn?
Paper Mario: Yes she was tied up at the end of the game, but otherwise, she walked around freely. Even had a parasol which she could use to float to the ground.
Super Mario Sunshine: Sitting in a boat in a pool of acid or something........
Paper Mario: The thousand year door: Walking around in not Bowser's, but Grodus's base. She met a computer which supposedly saw her in the shower and told her to get naked at one point in the game (which she did, BTW, but she was invisible T_T), but otherwise she either walked around freely or was possessed by an ancient demon bent on destroying the world.
New Super Mario Bros: On top of a ledge deep in bowser's castle, above the battle arena. AND Bowser's skin had been burned off of his body, leaving only his bones. (Gives new meaning to the word "boner". heheh.)
-

Are you insane? Mario was nimble, but not that nimble! you would rather her throw herself to her own demise!? Well I could see if Mario had failed and she had no choice but a falling death or a horrible lizard-rape.
What about SMRPG when she was taken by Bowser in the beginning and later Booster? Neither times she was in chains, though it's been a while since I've played that game to remember such minute details.

KAH! How could I forget the SMRPG Bowser fight?!!? She was tied up there!
As for SMW, Princess Peach is pretty much dumped out of the thing when you beat bowser. She FLOATS down. She could've easily made that jump!
