Nobody really takes video game achievements seriously in the first place but they do make for interesting conversation.
I'll start.
In Sonic the Hedgehog 2, I can beat Metal Sonic in 14 seconds.
In Resident Evil 3 I fight Nemesis with a knife every time I see him and beat him everytime. Also, I've managed to clear the Mercenaries minigame without being damaged once.
In Super Mario Kart I've gotten first place for every race and every cup for 100cc and below.
In Mega Man X, I can take on all eight of the Mavericks using only the Mega Buster, and I beat them on the first try.
In Super Mario 64 I've gotten to the top of the castle and talked to Yoshi without gaining a single star.
In Super Punch Out I can clear the first three circuits without getting knocked down once.
In Phantasy Star Online I've defeated the dragon using a Lvl. 1 FOnewrl equipped with a cane without getting hit once.

FF7: Beat Emerald Weapon without Underwater Materia, kicked Proud Clod's ass in the battle arena with only 1928 HP maximum.
Kingdom Hearts 2: Beat Sephiroth, made the Ultima Weapon.
Azumanga Snowball: Beat the game as Osaka without continuing in under 20 minutes, outranking Chiyo each time.
Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow: Got every soul.
Gish: Beat every level, collecting all items.
LifeForce: Beat without continuing or 30-lives code.
Contra: Beat the game on my first go. (I swear Joe's eyes bugged out when he saw me do it.)
-
Mariokart DS: Beat all Staff Ghosts, got three stars in all GPs and missions. 100% Clear.
Super Mario Advace 2: Super Mario world: Beat the game in 13:xx Min., got 100% after four days.
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3: 100% in 3 days.
New Super Mario Bros: Beat in 1 hour, 100% in 1 day.
Tales of Symphonia: Maxed out HP and MP,beat Mithos, beat Abyssion, beat Living Armor, made Raine immune to all elemental attacks (Invincible White Mage on the Lloose!)
SSBM: Beat all event matches, Target Tests, 1P modes, unlocked all trophies, stages, characters.
Pokemon Fr/LG->R/S: EV Trained a Lv. 5 Timid-natured Ghastly into a Lv. 100 Gengar STRICTLY though battling (No Day Care or Rare Candy) and Maxed out PP for all moves. Basically perfected a Gengar.
Sonic Battle: Obtained all skills for Emerl.
-
Let's see:
House of the Dead 1 (arcade): Finished on one credit, rescuing all encountered civilians.
Thunder Force V: No lives lost.
Guardian Legend: Cleared all corridors, stomped all overland bosses.
R-Type Final: Cleared stage F.C.
-
Sonic 3: All Chaos Emeralds by the end of Zone 2.
Sonic 3 and Knuckles: All Super Emeralds by Lava Reef Zone.
Sonic Adventure 2: All Emblems.
Sonic Heroes: All Emblems, Emeralds, and A-Ranks on the first try.
Guilty Gear X2: Level 209 in Survival Mode
-
Sailor Moon (Import SNES),Sailor Moon (Import Genesis) and Sailor Moon R (Import SNES): I've beaten all 3 games on every difficulty with every character.
Sailor Moon- Another Story (Import SNES): Using a walkthrough from Gamefaqs,i beat it,start to finish,3 months after I got it off Ebay, even though I can't read a word of japanese.
Ranma 1/2- Netsuretsu Kakutouhen (Import Gameboy): No one ever made a walkthrough for it,but when i got the game,i eventually beat the entire game and made a mini- walkthrough for my own use. Also i goofed around with the passwords and discovered passwords to access the 'portrait viewer', 'music test' and 'boss battle mode'.
Rockman Mega World (Import Genesis): I can usually beat the 'Wily Tower' game without using one continue.
PSO Plus (Gamecube): The first time i ever saw a Love Rappy (I only play offline), was in Ep.2,on Hard difficulty,VR Temple Area....After i killed him he dropped a Twin Psychogun!I still have it to this day.
Megaman X Collection (Gamecube): On Megaman X3,I can almost always beat Doppler without getting hit once.
-
Okay, I'll give it a shot.
Beat Castlevania 1 and 3. There are others I've finished but those two were the toughest.
Got the best ending of the original Ogre Battle. How my friend managed to find one of those cartridges, I'll never know.
One-credited Time Crisis 2 and Crisis Zone arcade versions.
One-lifed Thunder Force 5 like the above poster. Also one-credited Thunder Force 3.
Score of 28 million and change in Ikaruga, which placed me at 4th or 5th in the U.S. for a while during the official score competition.
Made it to Raoh (2nd version) in PunchMania 2, reached finishing move but was too tired to go through with it. I'm certain I would have won that by now if the machine hadn't broken down from the abuse that some of the other arcadegoers gave it. But now it's gone. *sigh*
Edit: Can't believe I forgot this. Also one-credited Star Wars Trilogy and got Perfect on both of the lightsaber sequences.
-
Few more from me:
Power Stone: Beat it on the highest difficulty and made perfect on both forms of Valgas using Ryoma.
PSO: Had my first encounter with Hildeblue a week ago. He dropped the Ice Staff weapon, which I'm trying to build up to use.
Megaman Legends: Beat the entire game with nothing but the Buster and Vacuum Arm on Normal difficulty, but only because I kept forgetting to switch out the Vacuum.
-
MegaMan X2: Anything. Tell me and I can do it. I beat the game without charging any shots (unless it was needed). I can beat the game without getting hit, too (except in Serges' level where you're riding upwards and you've got those two flaem things... I never understood how I was supposed to avoid that)
MegaMan X6: Beat Mijinion without getting hit.
MGS2: Big Boss rank
MGS3: Foxhound rank
SF3: Finished with that X rank thing, I forgot what it was. Xs? I would check, but that was when I borrowed my cousin's PS2. He erased the data =[
CS: I'm sure everyone else had the same thing, but about 5 or 6 long range no-scoped headshots from the AWP.
Contra: No lives lost. =]
-
lets see.
i can consistantly perfect a lv. 999 sol on gg: isuka on maniac mode with venom
have beaten an opponent in one combo in gg: isuka. it was 37 hits.
beat every single programmer time in super mario kart. also i cleared the first track in under 50 seconds
have mastered asuka's movelist in tekken 5
got omni-slash without cheating in the first disk of ff7
defeated ruby wepon without losing a party member, or dying.
maxed out every single class in disgaea, including stats and wepon proficiancies.
have beaten black with only getting headshots.
oh and sorrowful, congratz on the contra thing. that game is crazy hard.
-
So far, my accomplishments rely on....
Devil May Cry: Beat Hard Mode
Kingdom Hearts 1: Defeated Sephiroth and his Hidden Boss Friends. I was so lucky to trounce him in one turn after dodging all those meteors.
Metal Slug X: Defeated all the extra missions
Metal Slug 3: Defeated the console version, and that Storming the Mothership minigame. It was painful it HAS to be recorded.
And a whole slew of others. Too many to list though.
-
FF7: Beat Emerald Weapon with no Underwater Materia, Beat Final Form of Sepheroth in 30 secs by only using Quadslash
-
LifeForce: Beat without continuing or 30-lives code.
I've done that.
Contra: No lives lost. =]
My brother pulled off that masterpiece once. I could beat it in 3 lives though (ie, no continuing)
Tales of Symphonia: ...beat Mithos, beat Abyssion...
Unless you mean the first time you face Mithos, thats not much to brag about. Final boss Mithos isn't that tough. But beating Kratos and then turning around to beat "Yggdrassil" in the Tower of Salvation is a tough chore on medium difficulty, and has to be nigh impossible on hard (as Kratos will usually toast your whole party in under half a minute at that level)
I've beaten Abyssion on hard without an All-Divide. Now that's tough (you've got to be about level 85-90 to pull it off)
I've also gotten the Figurine Collector title for Genis in that game. That takes alot of work, too. In fact, about the only titles I've not gotten are the Eternal Apprentice title, and the 3 no-nos until Palmacosta (no gels, no healing, and the really tough no gels -or- healing)
Also recently completed Tales of Eternia without running or ever getting wiped out. (Its alot easier than ToS, but far less interesting or fun.)
Other pats on the back:
* Beaten every Legend of Zelda, console and handheld, except II, without dying, including first LoZ second quest.
* Beaten SMB2 and SMB3 clearing all stages (on the original NES carts, meaning no saves or continues)
* Beaten Mega Man 1, 2, and 3 without dying. Repeated the feat with that funky NES Max controller.
* Beaten all three paths in StarFox without losing my ship or a comrade's ship.
* Beaten StarFox normal path many times at a perfect 600% clip.
I can't remember anything else at this time that sounds worthy of mention.
-
if there's one game i own at, it's tetris attack. i've beaten hookbill koopa on very hard mode in 16 seconds, i've maxed out my score in endless mode, and i've managed to pull off a few "?x" chains. i have a friend who's beaten me getting points in 2-player vs. mode, but i constantly beat him in battle. >=D
-
Hmm...
DDR Extreme: Unlocked every song and course, got an A on Maximizer Standard
Resident Evil (PS1): Knife Run. Period.
Resident Evil 4: All Features unlocked, Handcannon included, with the exception of the Laser Cannon, because I am lazy right now and too busy.
and here is the big part.
Final Fantasy VII:
Beat game using no materia
Beat game using no materia and initial equipping
Defeated Emerald Weapon without using Knights of the Round or Underwater Materia, but rather using Yuffies ultimate weapon equipped with an interesting Gravity materia combination.
Beat the game at level 29
Yeah, I got straight up bored.
-
I've done that.
I got one better then. Gradius 1 or 2. Beat it without dying. Done it before? I have.
-
hmmm...recently i got so good at Nekketsu Koha Kunio-Kun: Bangai Rantouhen (Import Gameboy) that i can beat it without using a continue.Once i beat it while only losing one life (You start with 3,and 3 on every continue),but that was really hard,i was down to one health brick on my current life meter when i defeated the final boss.
-
Not sure if this counts as an accomplishment, but I did something against Bison in Alpha 3 I didn't think was possible with anyone other than V-ism Cody.
I managed to survive the Super Psycho Crusher without taking a single hit with X-ism Chun-Li.
-
Kunio-Kun
A Kunio-kun game? Sweet.
-
A Kunio-kun game? Sweet.
Yup,i'm a big fan of Kunio/River City Ransom. ^_^
USA Kunio games i have:
Crash N The Boys Street Challenge (NES)
River City Ransom (NES)
River City Ransom EX (GBA)
Japan Kunio games i have:
Downtown Nekketsu Kousinkyoko (NES)
Nekketsu Kakutou Densetsu (NES)
Nekketsu Koha Kunio-Kun: Bangai Rantouhen (Gameboy)

Kunio no Oden (SNES)
Kunio-Kun Nekketsu Collection 3 (GBA) (My second fave,it's Nekketsu Hockey Bu and Technos Samurai on one cartridge)
-
o_O
*bows before the massive Kunio-kun collection*
-
Thanks...lol...I'm not after the whole seires, but just the titles i'm interested in...the other one on my list to get sometime is the soccer game for the import Genesis...I know it's a 4 player game on NES,but i saw screenshots of the Genesis version (which is 2 players only),and i'm more interested in the Genesis version. The baseball game for SNES looks cool, but i haven't decided if i'm gonna pursue that one or not yet.
-
Regarding Kunio sports, I'll say this: any soccer game where the players can get struck by lightning has my approval. Mini-tornados are wholeheartedly endorsed as well.
Also, the original arcade game was pretty tough. I've only beaten it once.
-
Also, the original arcade game was pretty tough. I've only beaten it once.
From what i heard on fansites,Shin Nekketsu Koha-Kunio Tachi no Banka is supposed to be a sequel to that of sorts, the main villian is Sabu, the boss from the end of the arcade game.Playing as the girlfriends,Misako and Kyoko was cool. One time,i was able to beat Shinji (the first battle with him) as Misako, without switching to another character. It was hard as hell, though, and i only did it the one time.
-
Last weekend I cleaned out Sonic Riders. I now have every Extreme Gear and character (even though I only use maybe 4 of the characters and 2 of the Extreme Gear).
-
Mission 50 GGXX !!!
Nah, just kidding. I still can't beat it. Haha.
Uhm... how about single handedly taking a team of 7/8 enemies with under 50 health left in CS? When I'm last alive, I have this massive adrenaline rush and I just... wow.
-
I now have every Extreme Gear
For some reason I thought you said "Extreme G", which was an awesome game.
-
I've still got my N64 copy somewhere. I remember loving it, but never getting the hang of it fully as a kid.
-
Ah.... here's one!
I'm not sure I did it, I only think I did, cause this was way back.
Finishing Mario 2 without losing any hearts.
-
I think most people can do this, but i think it's funny because he's my fave TMNT boss.
In the Turtles in Time arcade game on the Gamecube TMNT3- Mutant Nightmare,i can beat the first level and it's boss,Baxter the Fly,without dying once.Even with the characters i'm not good with...lol
-
I got my old NES to work.
-
Mine works to this day. I just hate the shitty controller. Emulation for life.
-
You do realise that the NES Controller is amazing in it's simplicity, and is often considered to be the perfect controller?
My God dude.
My God.
-
Ah. I finished TMNT II The Arcade Game for the NES losing only three (or was it two? I didn't use any continues anyway) lives.
I managed to survive the later levels cause it was my teammate that took the ass whooping. I was just the cherry picker//leech. xD
-
IT'S TOO TINY
-
I played Unlimited Saga and didn't kill myself, my PS2, or my TV. In fact, I didn't even feel like mailing my feces to Akitoshi Kawazu (the guy who made the game). In fact, I KIND OF ENJOYED IT.
-

My God, you're getting rep for that.
The not killing yourself part, the fact you enjoyed it makes me think you're kind of psycho.
-
It's not an accomplishment of mine, but it needs to be advertised.
Today my baby brother, 8 years old, beat Sonic Adventure 1 without any help. The whole works, right down to Perfect Chaos. I'm encouraging him to go back and try to "perfect" the game by getting all the emblems and stuff.

yup,that is a good accomplishment!
-
Sonic Adventure on the DC? That's awesome man. =]
I died a few times on that Viper battle.
-
For some reason I thought you said "Extreme G", which was an awesome game.
F-ZERO X one-upped it though.
-
F-ZERO X one-upped it though.
true dat. i just wish that 64 disk drive thingy had come out to the states so i could've make my own tracks... God knows i would've made some fucked-up shit. man, you guys should've seen the rail courses i made back when i was playing the tony hawk games... lol...
*sets up an elaborate pattern of grindable objects with small spaces between them*
*turns on perfect rail balance cheat, ollies onto the first rail, then holds down the grind button...*
*DINKDINKDINKDINK-GRRRRIIIIINNNND-DINKDINKDINKDINK...*
-
My friend bought Unlimited Saga today because I spoke positively about it.
Y'know, I don't really accomplish stuff in games. I just sort of play them and don't do anything hardcore with them ever. I haven't even beaten Baal in Disgaea.
I saved up enough money in Legend of Dragoon to buy three Ultimate Wargods, three Legend Casques and two Legendary Armors. That's eighty thousand gold, no small feat when you consider how little money you get from fights. I'm talking about 100-200 gold per fight in disc 4, here. Earlier it was even WORSE. I'd get 50-60 a fight. Oy gevalt that was a NIGHTMARE but I did it because I couldn't do the additions normally and I didn't want to keep dying all the damn time because the game was broken-fucking difficult.
-
I just beat Star Wars KOTOR2 as a Jedi Weaponmaster.I'm proud of that, because KOTOR1 was so hard for me i barely got anywhere in it.I'm considering trying it again though...
But now i wanna play through KOTOR2 as a Sith and see what that's like...lol
-
Sith path in KOTOR2 is great. Trust me.
-
What sucks about GTA3 is that once you get the game completed 100% there are no extras received. Now I can't wait for the new GTA which will be released on PS3.
-
My biggest achievement is giving up videogames, for the most part. It's more or less forced, given the fact that there's not that many games coming out that're even worth a look-see. My only two videogames are RO and FF11 right now.
-

When there's nothing new to play,i play alot of the games i own, even if they're much older.I'm not the type of person who plays a game to finish once that never plays again.
I have beaten PSO so many times now,but i keep going back because of how much fun i have.Even when i'm playing older games like River City Ransom,Castlevania 3,TMNT Hyperstone Heist or all the old import Ranma 1/2 and Sailor Moon games i have,i'm not parting with them,i have too much fun with them.Sure,it's nice to have new games to play, but if nothing is currently out that interests me,i'm glad i have plenty of old faves to go back to anytime i wish to.
-
Tru dat... Maybe I should pick up a game I can continually go back to again... Legend of Mana used to be that way, but the scenario play of it makes me feel like I'm getting nowhere. If I were to just play a game like PSO where all there is to do is level up, I'd be in business.
-
Tales of Symphonia is good for replays. Takes at least 7 times through the game to 100% it. And its 80-100 hours per go.
-
Man... I want someone to say: "I beat Contra Shattered Soldier//Metal Slug 5 without dying"
I'll rep you fo' lyfe.
-
So hey, I beat Contra Shattered Soldier and Metal Slug 5 without dying.
-
So hey, I beat Contra Shattered Soldier and Metal Slug 5 without dying.
FUCK YOU! Shattered Soldier is probably the hardest game I've ever played!!!! *oozes the envy*
-
Here's some I remember.
1) did a 5-character 30,000 damage combo in Saga Frontier against T260G's endboss.
2) Filled up the demon compendium in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne in two playthroughs.
3) Got the second-happiest ending in Tactics Ogre (couldn't get the happiest as I was unable to get the fourth elemental sister).
-
So hey, I beat Contra Shattered Soldier and Metal Slug 5 without dying.
YOU LIAR !
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *continues for 3 whole episodes and turns SSJ* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh........
CRUSH. KILL. AEGIS REFLECTOR.

Star Wars KOTOR1 (XBOX) : Jedi ending,Juhani became a Jedi,Bastilla confessed her love for me.
Star Wars KOTOR2 (XBOX): Jedi ending,Visas became a Jedi and cleansed herself of all negative influence. (Next time I do light side,i have to make Mira into a Jedi...lol ..found out about it too late,so i have to wait...hee hee)
-
YOU LIAR !

You said to SAY IT, you didn't say "Did you actually do it"
Rep please.
lol!...good one!
-
Star Wars KOTOR 2 (New Jedi runthrough): Got Handmaiden and Mira in the party, and made them both Jedi, obtained Jedi ending again. ^_^
TMNT 2-Battle Nexus (Gamecube): I can beat TMNT Arcade in half an hour or less in 1 player mode.
TMNT 3-Mutant Nightmare (Gamecube): I can beat Turtles in Time Arcade in 45 minutes or less in 1 player mode.
River City Ransom EX (GBA): Once,i got both Tex and Ivan in my crew.Getting Ivan to join your crew is easy, but the game is really picky about letting Tex join if you have Ivan.Your Rep has to be very high,I've only done this once.
-
Got a perfect against Jinpachi the other day.
-
Got a perfect against Jinpachi the other day.
what game is that in?
-
Tekken 5.
-
That's notable because Jinpachi is ridiculously fucking cheap.
Like SNK cheap.
-
That's notable because Jinpachi is ridiculously fucking cheap.
Like SNK cheap.
oh...i don't have too much experiance with Tekken,i played,i think 3 of the games total. As Far as SNK,i have a few of KOF games, and there were some cheap hits in those,no arguement there.
-
jinpachi is actually really easy to perfect if you make proper use of sidestep.
-
Me and my friend played 3rd strike with Dance pads. Fun time. I'm also pretty good at Tony Hawk 2 with a steering wheel.
-
I got a perfect against Jinpachi with Kuma. XD
-
jinpachi is actually really easy to perfect if you make proper use of sidestep.
Try sidestepping at close range when he does his unblockable and see where it'll get you.
Jinpachi can be beaten easily depending on the characters.
I thump him easily most of the time with Jin or Heihachi.
-
i perfect jinpachi 9 out of 10 times with asuka or raven. i'm telling you, sidestep ftw.
-
You're right about the sidestepping. However, most of the time he gets too close the sidestep's fricken useless. I play with Asuka and Lei. Haha.
And also, I'm pretty green at Tekken. I don't make use of the 10-hitters, I just use 3 hit combos and those unblockables when I get the chance.
Does anyone have Dark Resurrection for PSP? If so, can anyone tell me why Jinpachi looks hella weird in it?
-
Not my accomplishment, but about three years ago, I'm sitting there playing Mike Tyson's Punchout on the old NES with my roomate and one of his friends comes over. He doesn't really brag at all, but he says he can beat the game right here and now. So, I give him the controller. He has the code to Tyson sill in memory, but he goes to Macho Man first just to get warmed up. Says he hasn't played it since back in the day. Kicks Macho Man's ass, then comes Tyson.
Mutherfucker <i>knocks... Tyson... OUT.</i>
Then, dude's just like, "Here's your controller back."
Ha! =D
-
jjinpachi's moves are for the most part easy to predict, when you see him closing the distance between the two of you its best to quickly use a sweep move, because he'll most likely either use a throw or his ridiculous heavy damage move. after hes on the ground wait for him to start getting up at a small distance. then while he is in the motion of standing up, sidestep to his side and use a launcher.
-

10 hits aren't that great in the first place. There are holes in them where a blocking person can parry down and ace you.
-
Hmm.. I'll try that. Haha.
What's the point of having a 10 hit combo if it isn't even a combo? ._.
-
I think a better word for them would be "10-strings". The moves link together, but they're not a combo. It's like how linking moves in SF3 is different from comboing moves.
-
Oh, I see now.
Do you guys remember all the moves? Cause there are just so many damn button combinations... I can't remember them all! And some are just so whacked out, I don't know how to do them. xD
-
Really you only need to remember a key 4 or 5 moves. Much of the game is poking, baiting, and punishing, so you only need a few good damaging moves.
-
Great... thanks.
Now, to get back on topic:
Haha. This probably happened to everyone who played CS here: Killing more than three people with a nade. XD
So like... I was playing in a pub against this clan that was just... fooling around. They had good strat, but they weren't being serious. After a wild fight they ran for the double doors in dust_2.
We ran around for a while and couldn't find them, so I just chucked a nade randomly at the doors. All of them die. rofl.
-
We glitched the super scopes in SSBM to have infinite ammo.h
-
Nice one. But.. kinda cheap, yeah? Haha...
-
They were just shitting around, so it doesn't matter much.
-
We just made a black hole using Peach's turnips Fox's reflectors, and the infinite ammo super scope. The two foxes are stuck in it with 999 damage.
-
TAUNT WITH LUIGI =]
-
I beat Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance at about 2 this morning. Fire Emblem is hard. It's made by the same people who made Advance Wars (Intelligent Systems), so yeah...challenging. I can't get anywhere on Fire Emblem 4, though. That game is way fucking hard.
-
Oh, I see now.
Do you guys remember all the moves? Cause there are just so many damn button combinations... I can't remember them all! And some are just so whacked out, I don't know how to do them. xD
I remember all of the moves.
Actually, I'll explain it a little better.
Basically in Tekken, you have a move for each position your character's in, like for example, when they're stepping forward, rising, crouching, stepping back, etc.
Basically what I do is go into practice mode and do each move 10 times to familiarize myself with them. That way when I'm fighting I'll always be able to do a move whether I just dodged or am on the offense. This is important to learn because it allows you to attack effectively no matter what's going on in the fight. Though you could just learn all of the moves from the neutral stance and just spam them over and over, players pick up on that quickly so it's not so great.
-
We made 5 more black holes last night and froze the Gamecube in 4 of those attempts. I think the goal is to eventually blow up the Gamecube.
-
I just got 5 stars on all mercenary characters on RE4. Wooo Handcannon. Leon on mercs isn't so hard after all.
