It's a poor screenshot, but it should get the idea across. There, at the end of the Hydrocity Zone, standing atop the busted capsule, is Super Sonic. Notice how Sonic's name is glowing yellow instead of blue, and the blob on top of the capsule is bright yellow, not blue. I need to find the settings to adjust either my webcam or my TV to get better screenshots of games later.

It's not nessesarly a glitch. Were you in Super Sonic mode when you beat Robotnik's behind? How many rings and emeralds do you have? Did you complete the game the first time around? Just asking a few questions on how you got that glitch.
-
I beat Robotnik as Super Sonic. I had 200 rings. I had all 7 emeralds (got perfect on the stages, just to brag a bit). I haven't cleared the game on this copy. My Genesis copy has 7 perfect files.

Genesis can only display 256 colors simultaneously, in either 16 pallettes of 16 colors or 32 pallettes of 8 colors (I can't remember which). Sonic, his name, and the top of the canister more than likely use the same palette. Not so much a glitch as something SEGA wasn't expecting you'd do often or to care about when you did.

You really have got too much time on your hands you know.

Meh. It only took half an hour.

Anyone hear the thing about Sonic 3 having music by Michael Jackson?
-
I did. MJ can make anything cool, and he managed to make a half-complete game look like the greatest thing ever.

Who remembers the Tails Doll from Sonic R?
-
Me. Creepy thing. The only hidden characters I ever cared much about were Super Sonic and Metal Sonic.
