If the heroes can have their poll, imagine how the villains would duke it out. People would pay good money to see these villains duke it out!
-
Kefka wins by default.
-
My vote is for someone not on the list...
Wiegraf/Velius of FFTactics. I know he's not the final boss, but he's my fave Final Fantasy villian.

I played Tactics for a brief while. Could never figure out the controls.
-
Kuja. Not many villains have glassed a whole planet. Sephiroth only aimed to DAMAGE the planet. Kuja DECIMATED one.
-
Kefka all the way.

Myself i enjoy Tactics and Tactics Advance alot.I know alot of gamers trash Tactics Advance bigtime, but i liked some of the unique jobs classes in Tactics Advance, and i liked the different take on the FFTactics realm. But i still think the PS1 Tactics was the better one of the two.I did like how one of the villians in Tactics Advance was a warped, evil version of Mewt (LLednar)
I have...
FF Origins (PS1)
FF Chronocles (PS1)
FF Anthology (PS1)
FF 7-9 (PS1)
FF Tactics (PS1)
FF Tactics Advance (GBA)
-
I have every FF game except for the Tactics games, 3, 9 and X-2.
I refuse to buy X-2, but I've gotta rebuy FF9 since I lost my old one.

You haven't played Final Fantasy VI have you?
You know, actually, Wiegraf was my favourite villian in FFT too, I thought he was really friggin' cool.

Kefka is a great villian.
-
Stop voting Kefka dammit! FF6 was great overall but he was a lousy villian. He was more insane than anything, and I never knew whether to fear him or laugh at him. Plus he was incredibly easy to beat if you had re-enlisted all or even a simple majority of your former world of light characters. (General Leo aside, has anyone ever actually lost to Kefka?)
I went with Golbez and Zeromus. Golbez was just down right evil (especially to those poor dwarves) and Zeromus is one of the few Final Fantasy final bosses who will kick your ass more often than not. Black Hole is just too devestating, seeing as there's no Life3 in FF4. I had to face Zeromus at least 50 times before I beat him - no more than 3 or 4 for any of the other bosses.
While not a villian per se, this poll could certainly benefit from the most fearsome enemy in Final Fantasy - the NUKE-attacking WarMech.

Went with Zeromus because he had some kick-ass boss music.
-
Kefka! He's a truly vile villain.

And that insanity is what made him a great villian, he had no morals, nothing stopping him from doing his worst, he wanted destruction, and it's what he got.
Zeromus was great, but really what did he accomplish? Golbez did more than Zeromus did, we are not talking about game difficulty, we are talking about which villian was better. It's obvious.
Kefka was nuts, he got his goal, he had no mercy, no regrets, that makes a truely dangerous man.
-
Yeah the fact he was insane and yet managed to further his goal gets him mad props towards being a great villian.
-
hmm, seeing how FFVII is about the earliest game in the series that i've completely played through, i know nothing about any of the villians earlier than that, except for maybe golbez from FFIV, but that's only from playing the gba release of the game that came out not too long ago, and i still have yet to play all the way through it. soooo.... i guess i'll stick with my favorite and vote Sephiroth on this one. =/
i know which one is the crappiest villian, though - Yu Yevon from FFX!
*uses zombie attack on it, then uses tidus' quick hit twice with the caladbolg...* >_>
as far as the most difficult enemy i've had to face on final fantasy games... i'd say either Ruby Weapon from FFVII or some of the high-level monsters in the monster arena on FFX, since i couldn't beat most of them. that huge cactuar that uses "1 gajillion needles" or whatever still haunts me.... >_<;
also, i was wondering if anyone ever managed to make it to Treva on FFX-2 in bevelle's cloister trials? i got to around level 60 or so, and this big shelled enemy killed me easily since i didn't have any "break limit" items to survive his attacks. =/

I do like how they made Kefka look in the CG opening to FF6 in Final Fantasy Anthology. That was sweet.

Kefka

Dudes, Kefka's a FUCKING CLOWN. What's so great about some dude wearing makeup?

A guess? :)

For me it wasn't his makeup, the dude was f'ing crazy as a loon!He was a cool villian.
But i like Wiegraf Folles/Velius of FFTactics more than Kefka.Wiegraf is my fave FF villian.
