Thought i'd see who comes up with the most votes for this poll.I tried to include many choices,so I'm sorry if I left anyone out.You may pick up to three choices.Have fun!
-
You forgot to include Gate, (The major villain from X6) High Max (Sometimes called High Moox because of some insane GameFAQs Newbie calling him the Big Cow, it was a very hilarious moment of my life) and Issoc from MMX6. (Issoc is rumored to have Dr. Wily's essence in him, other than that, you thankfully don't get to fight him. The best he could do in a cinema scene is to shoot a hold beam.
Oh, and you want more X6 zanyness? He also called about the BIG WHEELS and a PIT GIANT. It was absolutely histerical. I wish I saved that thread so we can bask in complete newbie funnyness.

i knew i was forgetting some people, forgot who they were...
Even though I have MMX1-6 on the X Collection,i play MMX1-3 and Xtreme 1 and 2 more,i liked them better than MMX4-7...though MMX8 is a nice one.
Pretty much i have...
Megaman X Collection (MMX1-6,Megaman Battle and Chase) (Gamecube)
Megaman X7 (PS2)
Megaman X8 (PS2)
Megaman Xtreme (GBC)
Megaman Xtreme 2 (GBC)
Rockman X3 (import PS1 and Saturn)

Eh, X5 and up were pretty bad in my opinion.
Honsetly, I've always liked Vile. He kind of seemed like the X series Bass.

I like X4 primarly for the music and graphics. Yeah, the sequels after that are pretty awkward, but at least they managed to bring back Vile in X8. After he was scrapped in X3, Vile managed to be somehow found and rebuilt, (Don't ask me how, I don't know Vile's life during X4-7) and waited like a cobra to strike in X8.
He can get annoying after a while, but I do appreciate his persistence. If they should come up with X9, hopefully the game shouldn't be too hard as X8 was.
X1: The game that started it all. It's pretty okay, and has first appearances of all the major characters: X, Zero, and Sigma. Vile also appears too, not to mention the DR. Light capsules.
X2: Slightly better than the first one, introduced the scavenger hunt for Zero's parts so you can skip the Zero boss fight before facing Sigma.
X3: First it's hard to get into. Then it's really easy. Then it gets hard again. Plus they went the extra mile on the scavenger hunt not for Zero parts, but X parts.
X4: In my opinon, the best in the entire series. Even though Sigma's a pain in the arse, once you figure out the bosses weaknesses, then it should be a slight cake walk. Plus, two different stories for two different characters!
X5: Slightly okay, but no where near as good as X4. The story gets slightly interesting after you beat the mavericks. Alia, Signas and the crew first appear here, although I still don't know how X and Zero go working from Dr. Cain to Signas. Maybe they should make an X4.5 to tell the story how X and Zero work for Signas.
X6: FRUSTRATING FRUSTRATING FRUSTRATING!! Some of the bosses (mini ones included) have taken their tough pills, not to mention all these stupid reploids you have to save. The only redeeming factors of this game are the music, (Why isn't Wild Blue in this one? In case you are wondering, Wild Blue is an unreleased track that was going to be in X6, but now I can't find it! It's really cool.) some really funny quotes, (XXX!! ZELLLLO!!) and a slightly easy Sigma battle. Don't you guys deserve an easy Sigma battle after a really frustrating game?
X7: Although the 2D to 3D concept was a good idea at first, it doesn't excuse the fact that you have to save some stupid reploids, AGAIN. Instead of these Nightmare creatures, just about anything that is not you can kill them. One hit, DEAD. Plus, some of the boss battles are nerve-breaking, but at least I managed to beat the game none the less.
X8: Still with the 3D, only this time, they kept the 2D charm of the previous games. No reploids to save, yet the game is still hard to beat. Even the new head boss on the block, (Lumine) proves to be a challenge. Kinda makes you want to wish that Sigma was indeed the final boss. Plus, Vile's back! Plus, all sorts of goodies you can unlock after you beat the game on NORMAL. Even at that difficulty, the game is still hard.
So those are my opinions.

Vile's one of my faves,too.
Even on the american Megaman cartoon awhile back,Vile in the 'Mega X' episode was still ruthless, and stayed true to his character.

Good points.
I like the version of X3 on the Megaman X Collection (Gamecube),it uses the anime scenes and remixed music from the import Saturn/PS1 versions of Rockman X3 that i have. However, they took out the j-pop opening and ending songs and just put in basic theme music.Still,it's nice we finally got the anime scenes and remixed music in the USA.Plus, with X Collection,we got Battle and Chase finally, and i enjoy that game alot,i've got Wily and Duo unlocked for VS mode. ^_^

Much as I love Vile, I'll have to give it up to Sigma. Each encounter managed to stay fresh for the most part, unlike a certain old man whose pattern deteriorated to simply appearing, shooting at you, and disappearing (Sorry Wily.).

Therein lies the problem with using the same villian so many times.Even if he keeps coming back, every defeat makes him lose credibility.Look how many times we've had to face Dr.Robotnik and Bowser Koopa. At least with the USA SMB.2 they gave us Wart, which was a nice change.Robotnik and Wily get new mechs,Bowser gets new gimmicks, Sigma gets a new body, but at least Capcom came out and SAID X8 is Sigma's final game, since they wished to kill him off and be done with him.
So,what now? Will Lumine be the new villian of the X series,or someone else?
(Also,don't misunderstand me.I'm actually a fan of Sigma,Wily,Bowser and Robotnik,but let's have some variety...)
-
Sigma. I'd still love to see him as part of a boss team in a Capcom VS game...
-
yeah...maybe a team of Sigma and Magneto.
Or maybe a Megaman X game that plays like the two Megaman arcade games.

Same here. Default fighters include X (Duh!), Zero, Axl, and maybe Vile or Alia (Hey, if they can make Bass playable, I'm sure Vile would get the same treatment.)
The Story: Lumine has plans to completely manipulate the Sigma Virus under his control, and with it, he will refine the virus into the dreaded Lumine Virus to create an army loyal only to him! Can X, Zero and Axl find the parts of the legendary Dark Elf and put an end to this mad scheme once and for all? (According to Megaman Zero 2, it was the Dark Elf who put an end to the Sigma Virus. I could be wrong.)
The Mavericks can be whatever Capcom decides, from X1 all the way up to X8.
The last mini bosses are also up to Capcom.
The final boss is of course, Lumine! He may have one or two forms. Unless they were planning to bring Sigma back for one final hurrah and try the Dark Elf ability.
The endings are, of course, up to Capcom.
Unless this is the plotline to Megaman X9. I might be making this up as I go along.....

Didn't he come in with Spark Mandrill or something like that?
Yeah, I barely remember that show. Wonder if its on DVD ... >_>

Yes,he came back with Mandrill.X followed him,and Sigma had an appearance also.
The series is out on DVD,in two box sets by ADV Kids.I have them both. ^_^
The box sets are called "Megaman A hero is born" and "Megaman Battle for the Future"

The X-Hunters (actually, just Agile) and Vile.

Meh, wish Capcom had that mentality with Akuma/Gouki, who I am sick of seeing.
Well, at least that's one good thing about no new SF games.
Most people seem to have no problem with facing the same villan.
I recall how most complained about the original Metal Slug villan not being present in the newer titles and hating them because of that.

The issue with me is i like some variety. With Megaman,it got to the point where,no matter if it was Cossack,Darkman,or whoever,it would be revealed at the end of the game that Wily was behind it all. With the X series,it was always Sigma, weather you had Doppler,Repliforce,Red Alert,etc...that's why I give credit to Megaman X Command Mission, for once,Sigma had nothing to do with it...that doesn't mean I hate Sigma,I just like to see some changes. That's something i liked about Battle Network. You had Wily, but at different times, you also had Gospel (Being run by a kid),and you also had Dr.Regal, they at least tried to make it different.
So it's not that i hate Bowser,Robotnik or any other major villian,i just like to see some variety is all.I don't think that's asking too much...
