Remember in Novemeber to not only gather together to watch Cheesey Movies BUT also celebrate the approximate first US wide air date of Mystery Science Theater 3000! Way back in 1989 (dispite the limitations on the calendar feature).

Yeah, I have Volume 1 of the MST3k DVD Collection.  Has episodes on it from both the Mike and Joel eras.  Hilarious stuff.  My favorite ones are "Hercules vs. the Moon Men", "Master Ninja 1", and "Devilfish".

Wow, I had no idea it was on since 1989!  I always preferred the Mike era, since Joel didn't really make me laugh as much.  The funniest one I've seen so far would have to be "Prince of Space".  "MST3K: The Movie" was pretty good, too(they watched "This Island Earth").

Well if you include the local tv era then it actually began in 1988 but then again I grew up watch the series I enjoyed the Joel era more because of the movies involved, especially the Sandy Frank films.
