So in case you're wondering why said Bill isn't gonna be posting for a few days, he's having surgery done in his mouth to remove a REALLY screwed-up eye tooth, and he's gonna be in no condition to post or much else for the next few days.

I know how that goes,i had to have all my teeth pulled out two years ago,(bad teeth is hereditary in my family,i was 28 when my teeth had to go)i was on painkillers for quite awhile.I hope he recovers soon.

Hey guys.
I'm doing a lot better than I thought I would be, I basically just haven't left my room for a couple days, I spend most of the time lying down and I occasionally get on the computer to check mail and such, I've got my meds and everything and I can eat soft food 3 times a day, I also have to do salt water rinses every 3-4 hours, and it's pretty fuckin' annoying.
I'm currently on...
Painkillers:
Vicoden 750 (I wish they hadn't given me these, I have a bit of an addiction)
Tylenol 4 w/Codine (I use these at night, to go to sleep)
Antibiotics:
Amoxxicillin 500
So, in addition to that and everything else, I have to piss like every 20 minutes, thankfully the bathroom is pretty much a couple feet from my bedroom (My house is divided into two floors, the second floor is pretty much a seperate house, my house.)
Hmm...other than that, I'm cool, and as for importgamers thing...
DAMN.

Get well soon.

yup...my thoughts exactly.grandma had to have all her teeth out at age 50.My mom at age 59,and my dad's brother at age 30,so i'm the youngest, having all my teeth out at 28. Having dentures is odd,but it's something i gotta live with.

well, if it's any consolation, i'm supposed to have my wisdom teeth removed sometime this summer... and i tend to be fearful when i'm having something done to me in a hospital/clinic, due to a traumatic experience i had when i was very little when a careless nurse was trying to take my blood... i've had a phobia of needles ever since. >_<;;; kinda ironic that nurse nanako is one of my favorite anime chicks, huh? i guess if there were more nurses like her in the world, i'd be more confortable... then again, she IS rather clumsy and ditsy at times... O_o;

I can Empathize in a way, all four wisdom teeth were removed. fight on Bill.
-
Had my wisdom teeth removed last month. Aside from some mind-numbing pain 5-6 hours after it, that should potentially be the worst of it (only lasts 1-2 hours, if you can, take the painkillers BEFORE the pain arrives). After that, it's getting used to food getting the crevices that your teeth used to fill and sleeping off the swelling.

Damn, mine are going to get pulled out in August. The top ones are growing nicely, but I have no space for them. The bottom ones are pushing forward, which are really bad.
I'm scared. I'm immune to freezing. Haha.

lol...don't feel too bad...when i had to have fillings put in they could never use laughing gas on me,because it didn't have any effect on me,they always had to freeze me...which sucked, cause i hate needles...lol
But,when all my teeth were yanked out two years ago,i took apill, they hooked an IV into me,so i didn't even feel the stitches they put in cause i was out like a light both times...lol
...but life with dentures when you're 28 is weird, even more so now that i'm 30,but,crap happens in life, and you gotta make use of it...

Needles.. I'm used to them in my mouth, haha... but IV? *shudder*
Laughing gas..? o_O
What's the laughing gas for?
I want some!
I went to see a dentist Monday (actually he specified that he was more a physician who knew how a dentist worked than an actual dentist) and he said he could either go by freezing, sedation, or doing it at a hospital if my sister and I are too scared.
I wouldn't mind going to the hospital, but it sounds kind of boring to be sleeping the whole time. I wouldn't call myself a daredevil, but I kind of crave certain things at times, if you know what I mean. And to add, the hospital they'll do it at is one of the worst hospitals in the island of Montreal (I live in the "West Island" -- west of Montreal, and there's only one hospital, and everything's low quality). Freezing won't do much, I'll feel it all the way =/
Sedation any good? Apparently you're "there but not there at the same time", meaning I'll be conscious but I won't remember what happened the next day.
*shudder* o_O

when i had an IV when all my teeth were pulled,i was out like a light, asleep. What i did to make it easier on myself,i had a headset that was playing japanese Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 music, which helped me relax while they prepped me for the surgeries. Also,(yeah, this will seem odd),i held onto my japanese SNES Sailor Moon R game during both surgeries. It was my first Ebay purchase,so it's kinda of a good luck charm. It helped me get through the surgeries with a calmer mind.Whatever works,i guess....

pshhhh i have all of you beat, i had testicular cancer. notice i said HAD, meaning they removed my left testicle. whn i had it removed, i took no pain killers afterward, cowboy style (kinda wish i had though). just an ice pack and an ibuprophen to help the swelling.

did a woman dump you because of it,though?A woman rejected me when she found out about my dentures because she(Her words) "Didn't want a boyfriend that had hunks of plastic in his mouth."...ain't love fickle sometimes?Hopefully things will turn around soon....

I asked out the nurse, does that count for any sort of comfort?
-
I've got any idea of how that could have went. >D
A) Ask about the nurse.
B) Put it in.
