I just got my grades in from Grad School... I sure hope to hell that what my one prof gave me was a fucking joke because I did not pass this term. I also had my graduation ceremony to boot.
Ah man this is going to make this evening a suck fest especially when my folks catch wind of this >_<
-
Can you still appeal, that is, talk to your teacher about the grade?
-
Yeah I can, but the problem is this professor apparently is out of town alot so that means I have to play phone tag to even get a fucking response.
My dad now knows and is disappointed in me and thinks I didn't try hard enough =___=;
-
Wate? Wut?
You failed, but you still graduated? How does that work?
Go to the dean to have him explain the grade if you can't reach the teacher. And take proof that you're not a failing student with you (all your test grades, homework scores, etc.) Perhaps its merely a clerical error.

Yeah see its this wondeful thing where Graduation call is required to be given at the start of the semester. So technically you can go to your graduation ceremony get your fake diploma, and all those doo dads and yet you can still FAIL if grades don't pan out in the end. Thanks and F.U. U of M >=/
I am contacting the one professor because I can not fathom how in the hell I got a C+ in that class when it was entirely Group Project Based and I tried my best to contribute to the project as well as turn in every fucking paper. The problem is I got his phone mail and I've learned he's been out of town recently. The Academic and Financial Adviser has been of wonderful help in trying to calm me down and chipper up but if I can't find out what went wrong... >_<

I found out what went wrong. I would have had a B-..... but unfortunately my group mates must have thought me to be a real asshole somehow <:/
-
So your group member's evaluations ended up affecting your grade?
-
My dad ... thinks I didn't try hard enough =___=;
They always do.
Anyways, how did their perception of you affect your grade? Unless they had stark proof that you were not contributing (which is pretty much the only valid reason I can conceive of impacting your grade as such) how could their opinions affect your final grade that much?
-
Well let's see, both were non-us students, both live closer to campus than I do. It may be that our unity could not start off so well, because they have something to relate to. I'm the odd one out of the group, even though I did do my best to provide to the team =/
Anywho its summer school for me =___=
-
I'm sorry to hear that. But you know, at least things might be easier this time since people usually are more laid back during the Summer.

That's true. I just don't want to drive down to Ann Arbor now that M-14 has been DESTROYED.
