Title: hey who has a job
Post by: Arizona on April 27, 2006, 02:36:15 am: Yeah, anyone here employed? If so, what do you do, and does it not suck?

As for why I ask, I'm interested in hearing what jobs people have, since it's something I'll need to figure out for myself soon enough. I'm not quite out of high school yet, but I'm already trying to think of jobs that I can get with an English major that won't suck. All I know is that I write ~~goodokay~~well-~~ish~~.

Cook at Zaxby's, McDonalds, and Blimpie: Do not work in fast food ever.

Courtesy Clerk and Produce Clerk at a grocery store: If you can handle stupid people, be a "courtesy clerk" (aka bag boy) or a cashier. Produce clerk wasn't that bad. I spent most of the time cutting fruit, stocking shelves, or pulling rotten stuff from bins. Fairly simple job.

Someone explain to me how that's a win for the illegal immigrants.

I don't understand how that's supposed to appeal to lawmakers to help illegal immigrants become any more American.
