Hey guys, I recently hired a translator to work on the VIPER-CTR novel (I plan to have them do the game script next). Unfortunatley, I don't have the funds for them to do the whole novel at once, but they have agreed to do a portion of the book at a time until the whole book is completed. I decided I wanted to have the translation on the scanned pages of the novel that I sent to them to kinda keep the look and feel of the novel. I will update this forum post whenever I get more translations. Hope everyone enjoys it!

Some more pages.

Some more translated pages. These will be updated once every two weeks.

There was a guy who done a complete translation, but his account was closed. Really wished saved and uploaded the text extracts. Maybe he will find an alt site.

I had seen that before. The translation wasn't bad, but this one I've hired an actual translator to do the work for me. I have more pages, I've just been super busy lately so I haven't had time to get them up. I will though.

Lol, that was one of my pet projects, mostly did it teach myself PHP.
The translations were done by multiple freelance translators, through a site called Gengo.
whenever I had money to spare, i'd send some pages to be translated and add them to the project.
I pretty much have most of the database on my computer, i'll dump it some time, if I can get a stable internet connection, ever since the tornado ripped through my city, its been tough to get an internet connection, I had to use my hotspot to connect to the internet, even that is spotty.

Please do.

Here's a dump, i am not sure if this is the most up-to-date entries, though.
if I find another backup that has more entries, i'll update the file.
in both SQL and CSV formats.

Nice, thank you.

Thanks. It's nice to get a look at the full Shiori section and parts of the rest of the book, even if it seems to mostly just re-tell the stories from the games after those first few pages. Now I'm curious about the V10 part and just how Captain manages to turn Asuka around.

Hey guys,
Sorry I haven't updated this in a while, it's been hectic for me starting a new job and just trying to have the time to finish this. I'm just going to upload the pdf document that the translator sent to me for this project. It is the complete book translation. Hope everyone enjoys! Thanks
-
hey, that's awesome!
-
Thanks. I also have the game script for VIPER-CTR and V-10 the Northern Lights story. I asked that the translator keep it in the same text files as with the japanese to make it easier to switch out in the games for creating an english version. Here are those as well.
-
Thank you. Never realized how in-depth Viper CTR's story was.
-
is it All finally translated???
-
Yes, the game scripts for CTR and V-10 the Northern Lights and the Novelization have all been translated.
-
How do we get the script in the game? Is it possible yet?

I know that JG at one point was looking into a way to put in a language selector for VIPER-RSR, he says that it's not hard to exchange the text in the SGS file, but he wanted a way to patch existing ones instead of giving out all new SGS files (since they're pretty large). I don't know how far he got into that though. I'll look into how to change out the text and see if I can make a english version of VIPER-CTR.
-
I know how to do it, just haven't done it.
I'll see if I can devote some time to making the conversion.
-
Is there any chance of making these tools public?

Eventually, yes.

I'd be more than happy to do some work on it as well if you don't mind sharing some of your knowledge and expertise on this. I haven't delved into the SGS dat file for the VIPER games too much, but I expect it can't be incredibly hard to replace the text based on the value of a variable set by a language selector in the settings.

Hi just a heads up, part of the translation is missing here. Noticed it the other day.
The part where the guy cums on mikis face, and they take turns with her (her leg in a V-shape)
I'm been feeding the Japanese through AI and letting it free-flow.

I think ChatGPT is good enough, if the person doesn't just feed and copy and paste.
What I did with the translation for Viper RSR after translating it through chatGPT was I sent it for Proofreading,
they said that it was like it was translated by a professional. I guess AI translation is getting better.
I was trying to inject the text back into the script files for CTR,
but ran into an issue with one of the opcodes, in the first chapter,
I need to look into why it was happening.
after that opcode, there was no voiced lines, until it loaded the next script file.

I was wondering if anyone has the Japanese (not Chinese) version of the novel in full so I can run it through LM studio. Be much approached.
Searched the net and can only find the Chinese version, which is much harder to translate and the Japanese scans have just been the pictures.
-
this is the scan of it, I dont remember how I got it.
