Title: Short games by Viper Artist available on DLsite
Post by: tonguinfreak on April 17, 2009, 12:15:20 pm
This looks like the artist who did V16.  Anyone know about this company and their games?  They're available on dlsite -

Not sure they had anything to do with V16.  They did work on the Island games though - the remakes of Reserve and Vision match the art style perfectly.  To some degree the original Guynarock (aka Guynarock Mini) and the Animahjong games are close comparisons, but I couldn't say for sure.

If someone does get them off of dlsite, sharing would be nice.

Nice to see the old company's artists are still active.

Sogna/VIPER related stuff should be posted under the VIPER Downloads board.

Non-Sogna/VIPER should go in the "Make More Bigger the Collection" board.

If its stuff that hasn't been posted before, a new thread is preferred.

Ok thanks...I'll upload it a little later for those who are interested..Just one question though...what happened to the shop which contained some of the sogna classics?

Looks like Hyperguy killed it off over the weekend.  The SMFShop is currently in an uninstalled state.  I don't know whether he had to do this in order to upgrade to SMF 1.1.9 and just forgot to reapply SMFShop or if he wishes to kill it off permanently.

I'll PM him and let him speak for himself.

The shop has been
(http://www.sognadigitalmuseum.com/forum/attachments/destroyed.gif).

Similar to the gallery, the shop was created in a time when it was difficult to find Viper games, images, and info.

But nowadays it's way easier to find the games(especially if you look in the Viper downloads forum) so I feel that it's not needed anymore.  That, and in the last couple of days people have been spamming for hueys and worse, resurrecting old threads with random ass comments(Like this, (http://www.sognadigitalmuseum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1854.msg27384.html#msg27384) this, (http://www.sognadigitalmuseum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1882.msg27369.html#msg27369) and t (http://www.sognadigitalmuseum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1996.msg27424.html#msg27424) h (http://www.sognadigitalmuseum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1993.msg27425.html#msg27425) e (http://www.sognadigitalmuseum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1994.msg27422.html#msg27422) s (http://www.sognadigitalmuseum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1752.msg27426.html#msg27426) e (http://www.sognadigitalmuseum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1803.msg27427.html#msg27427).)

Couple that with my lack of desire to continue to host them(they took up about 400MB of the server's space and in the time they've been available there haven't been many downloads) and I don't see why I should continue to make 'em available.

Downloading them through a user submitted rapidshare link actually makes more sense than posting 20 times to get 100 hueys to buy a download.  Ideally, we should have torrents set up for things like this, though even that's unnecessary since there's plenty of torrents of Viper games already available.
