I want to point out how awesome this election went except for a few things...

AWESOME

Michigan passed Props 1 and 2, meaning we now have legalized medical Marajuana AND Stem Cell research funding
Obama is the president of the United States, there are no words for how awesome this is.
Michigan got legal pot on the day the first black president was elected.
Holy shit.

My friends and I had an election party, watched the polls and had dinner of fried chicken, watermelon, purple drank, lemon poppy seed muffins and 40 oz of OE.

We are so un-PC, but our sickening display of semi-racism actually helped.

KFC rose 4% on election day. No shit.

BAD:

Gay marriage ban? WTF? Well, it'll get fixed eventually, its just unfair, fucking right-wing conservative assholes, your time is DONE.

Upton won in Michigan, fucking bailout supporting son of a bitch.

I got horrible gas from the chi'kunz

Thats it. Did everyone ROCK THE FUCKING VOTE?!

Actually, the same people who voted for Obama, voted to ban gay-marriage, including the clear majority of African-American and Latino voters (60-70%), so it wasn't the "right-wing assholes" as you say.

While tasty, scones don't preform as well with the non-British vote.

AWESOME

If anyone still doubts that our society is build upon fried chicken, this is the proof.

BAD:

Run-off election in Georgia Senate race.  Chattanooga's right on the border so our media market extends south until it meets the Atlanta market, meaning we get blasted by attack ads on TV and radio for another month.

Why would they continue to play those ads?  The ballots are already cast.

Maybe you missed the part where I said "Run-off election"

Georgia state voting law requires that an elected official must win 50% of the vote plus one or a run-off of the top two candidates must be held.  This year they had a third party guy in it and the percentages for the top three were something like 49%, 46%, 5%.  So, on December 2nd voters go back to polls to settle the race between the guys who got 49% and 46%.

Oops.  My bad.  That really sucks.  We have a recount here in Minnesota but at least there are no ads running anymore.

True that.  Hopefully one of these days we will get a chance to see the full manga.

If more campaigns came in manga format....there still would be crappy voter turnout.
