The closest is A-Ha had because like Never Gonna Give You Up, Take On Me is one of the best songs of the 80's.

I concure with Bang Doll.  Take On Me is a pretty good song.

Incidentally there was a poll currently run by MTV for voting on the best act evar and Rick Astley won it.  Here are is the ED link describing the Epic Win:

MTV is still around?  I'm sure most of you are too young to remember, but they once had these things called music videos on there.

A thousand poxes on MTV for creating the Real World, thus giving all the TV companies the illusion that "reality TV" is a worthwhile genre.

True that.  I think VH1 plays more music videos than MTV but that's still not that many.  MTV needs to get back to basics.

They tried that with MTV2 and now that has a bunch of commercials, only plays 3/4 of each song and, oh yea, play shows too. Don't worry though, there's a bunch more numbers the can work with. MTV999224 will be back to basics.

Well the key to any roll is deception.  So if you can do it with Obama, then yes it exists.
