Spoiler tags will be used by anyone posting about plot points and sensitive information like Whether or not Two-Face died at the end, or about how damn cruel it was of the Joker to force the two ferries full of people to try and blow each other up
or else there will be reckoning. However, not-so-sensitive stuff like how Heath Ledger was a Joker on par with Jack Nicholson, or how Michael Caine's Alfred is still your favorite character/cast choice in these movies, is just fine without spoiler tags.
I saw this Thursday at midnight, and even though I'm STILL cranky and haven't caught up on my sleep, I'm glad I went and saw it. it blows Batman Begins away (though Begins is still a great superhero movie in it's own right) and it should make the guys who're doing the Marvel movies sweat a little. Still, having said that, I do have some thoughts:
Movie was LONG. Movie was l-o-n-g LONG. Did it feel drawn-out? No, but We probably could've done without half the crap involving Rachel Dawes; that character was so flat, and clearly was just there to make tension between Harvey Dent and Bruce Wayne, and to engineer Dent's fall into villainy.
Getting a little nitpicky on this one: In the beginning, when the Joker robs the bank, and they back a schoolbus into it, he drives out into the traffic, which is a lonng line of schoolbusses, and gets away with it completely. This is awesome, but...how the hell does nobody notice this bus pulling into the street from the place where the bank's front door should be? And how in the universe did he back it through the wall without it taking any kind of damage ord debris with it?
*gets chewed out by JG & co.*
