Title: Unofficial 3D Viper?
Post by: Echelon on October 02, 2005, 01:09:18 am: Has it ever been done? Douptful, but hey ... it would be cool.

I've seen some incredible third-party DOA 3D models and stuff (no idea where the images can be found at the moment though ... but uh, take my word for it?), so I thought it would be worth asking.

BUT, since I've never seen any talk or images of them before, I doupt there's that stuff out there.

I am in an Animation Class right now, for High School. Maybe if I had a computer I think it would be kind of cool to take up the challenge and model the Viper characters in 3D, even though I don't have skill to make some real human like models, with a lot of time I have made some decent stuff (texturing would be weird though ... but, if I just did them nude, I'd only need about one color! =P)

But yeah, I don't know. Maybe in a few months I'll be modeling the Viper girls in 3D. I can dream I guess. :a

Otherwise I haven't seen any 3D models of the Viper girls, though more than likely (Japanese) people have tried.

Maya would probably give you even better results if you know how to properly use it. And if you could model Viper girls, would you make Cala? She ROCKS!!!

My primary tool is 3Ds Max, Zbrush, and a few other things like photoshop, DeepUV..etc

Anyways, to be blunt about it I stopped studying 3D animation / graphic design, etc. Not my thing.

It's probably only take a good hour or so for an experienced 3D modeler to make a costume identical to Carrera's.
