Sort've. There are some really cheap combos some monsters can do and others are just annoying. Learning how to use all weapon types really helps a lot.

But getting smacked around like a rag doll by tails does get old.

And staring at Khezu is murder on the eyes. Nightmares. Really bad ones.

I've only ever played Monster Hunter 1 on Pcxs2 and that was like 6 months ago when the engine wasn't too hot and the fps were damn low even on like 320x240 res so I didn't get much into it.

Everybody's crazy about those PSP games though.  I just want to shoot T-Rex's in the face with giant hunting rifles though.
