hobibox put out a collection book of viper series manga.

the back cover of said book is very interesting in that is has the new art work from...

I've heard of it, but never understood where they'd cram extra days.

So, 366 days this year?  I feel older already!

This is indeed most epic.  +5 Rep.

We'd seen the Fujidokoro image that makes up the back cover before (someone else posted it in another thread.)

But the cover image is a surprise since it's got Ta152 of Graf Zeppelin (http://www.page.sannet.ne.jp/ta152/) fame involved.  Now we know what he's been up to for the last two months.

Yeah well you will have to ask Julius Ceaser or St. Gregory the Great about that at some point.

I'm not that fluent in Japanese unfortunately, does anyone know if this book will be sold in shops in Japan or only via online-shops?
Perhaps I might be able to get a hold of it ... :)

I have it.  But I've not had a chance to scan the whole thing, so don't ask.  Maybe someday I'll get to it...

Regarding the rest of the book:  Art-wise its better than the V series manga but the quality of stories seem lacking from what I could understand.*  It just seems like the same story over and over with a different set of characters.  I mean, five of the eleven stories have some from of tentacle sex going on.  It really needed a general editor to come in and say "That's too much, do something else instead."  Honestly, I was expecting better.




* Barring the second Cala story, which is quite intriguing.  Picking up from the night Elan and Cala almost sleep together, and after he's fallen asleep, she sneaks off into forest to be recaptured and raped by the monsters again.  She's become fond of getting raped and hoping to be rescued and can't quite give them up yet.

Oh goodness, those are brilliant. Thank you for sharing.

Admittedly, I'm not in a rush for scans or anything, I was just interested in knowing if it actually came out with no problems and if it was at least mildly interesting.

The repetitiveness sounds annoying, but I am glad to know the art is better than the old V series, as those were really pretty painful at times.

Are we talking "not far from the actual price" kind of selling or "Imma sell this to collectors and pay my bills for six months!" kind of selling?

Where did you guys pick this up, by the way? Just Amazon Japan or somewhere else? I've only really thought about buying this kind of thing recently, so I only know of J-List, Mandarake, and JP Queen (none of them have it, as far as I saw).

nah.. i aint that kinda seller, I don't have that many bills to pay, just the cell phone bill
it isn't that expensive, so it wont really be too far from the actual price, knowing how hard it is to buy stuff from japan

Ordering stuff from amazon.jp is really easy - you can view the whole site in english.  Shipping is admittedly like $30 so you want to either A. buy a bunch of stuff or B. split the cost with someone.  If you're not sure of the name you can do things like search by the ISBN number.
