Hi all!
Recently, I want to make movie clips of Cala's H scenes so that I can simply watch them whenever I want without entering the game.
However, I want to know what software I should use to be as a function of video capture.
Please help me out, thx!

See the Tools thread (http://www.sognadigitalmuseum.com/forum/index.php?topic=263.0) for a program named Grapholic. It'll rip the frame images to bitmaps so you can manipulate them however you want without going through video. You can make animated gifs or just about anything you want with them.
If you still really prefer video files, you can google an app named HyperCam. (In no way related to Hyperguy.)

thanks, but the software you recommended seems to be able to record images only.
What I really want is a software which can record sound as well. Having this software, I can make a movie of Cala's scenes (with sound).
Is there any other better softwares? THX :)

that should be done pretty soon.. within the coming days

What do u mean?
Are u doing what I want to do?
Are u making movie clips of Cala's scenes?
-
nope, not I, but someone is

But I really want to make my own clips for her!!!
Can anyone recommend a video capture software that can record sound as well ?
-
i suggest Camtasia Studio...
-
I used Camstudio 2.0 or some new version...! it worked all right... I did some SVCDs a lot of time ago,,,!
-
Thank you.
Camtasia Studio is quite good but I still come across some problems.
After I capture a video, I want to convert it into AVI format but the color in the video is changed in True color.
The color problem can be solved by changing True color to High color. However, the quality of the video is obviously lowered.
Can anyone tell me how to ideally make an AVI clip in Camtasia Studio which is not very large?
All I want is to capture a video and make it into AVI format without lowering its quality in graphics. I hope someone can tell me more about the settings in Camtasia Studio, THX

The problem is I want to make movie clips for another game rather than RSR.
I have managed to make movies for RSR and the movies (AVI) have no problem (conserve space and good quality)
However, I have encountered some problems when capturing a video for another Japanese game. Who can help me?

hey...
I guess you shouldn't worry about size of Avi files. DVDs are quite cheap and it's completely cool to record high quality avi files. You just need to put attention on the codec (Xvid mostly... or just Divx) and get a cool Viper Dvd. Actually I've recorded v16, GTB, v12... CTR...etc etc... no problem... only if your pc is kinda slow....
even tried with other hgames...

Even if I disregard the size of the file, the quality of the video in graphics is still unacceptable.
I will post a picture here some other time to show you how poor the quality of the video is.
p.s. Will the quality of a video in graphics be poor if I record something for too long?

Thanks to recent developments in "time having," hyperguy.net scientists are hard at work on something very close to what you're looking for. Stay tuned for more information in the coming week or two.

tips in video-encoding, always try to use a two-pass encoding, usually its better than a single pass
also on Viper RSR, i just came across an old article online
I'm I reading it wrong, or did it take Sogna 5 years to complete Viper RSR?
and i think 3 years and 6 months to do all the animation and drawings

How to set two-pass encoding in Camtasia Studio?
-
it depends on the codec you use [e.g. Divx or Xvid]
usually you can set it on the codec's option menus
-
I don't think they meant five years non-stop development as some of the common staff (P-Warrior) were obviously staying busy with other games. But the numbers are about right if you count the time elapsed between CTR and RSR (January 1997 to July 2002)

The length of the video I have captured is about 5 minutes and the original file is 9xxMB. The quality of the video is lowered when I convert it into AVI.
