Title: Solid Snake vs. Dracula
Post by: Hyperguy on July 16, 2007, 12:02:41 am
After considering that they're both from Konami video games, I got to thinking...

Solid Snake vs. Dracula?  Who would win and why?

An actual crossover of Metal Gear Solid and Castlevania would be possible considering Konami holds the rights to both of them.  I actually wouldn't mind seeing an easter egg in either game that eludes to them.  I mean, we got Reiko Hinomoto in MGS: Substance, so Belmont vs. Metal Gear or Solid Snake vs. Dracula couldn't be too far of a stretch.

Also, the fight Raiden had against Vamp probably isn't very indicative of how Snake would fare against Drac.  Vamp's nickname was moreso an allusion to his sexual orientation than any kind of Vampire heritage.

Really makes me wonder what kind of bonus you'd get if you managed to kill Dracula just by using tranquilizer darts...

Plastic vampire teeth and a cape.  While wearing them all enemies disappear and are replaced by Belmonts running around everywhere lashing you with whips and throwing crosses at you.

Ooh yeah, MGS with selectable crosserangs.

Anyways this is a silly versus.  They're like totally radically different universes, Castlevania and Metal Gear.  I mean, would Solid Snake be entering inside Dracula's castle?  Dracula couldn't exactly leave, not all of Metal Gear's missions take place at night or in the darkness >.>

Dracula has stolen the latest Metal Gear prototype and Solid Snake must penetrate his castle, and destroy the Metal Gear.  Instead of FOXHOUND or Dead Cell you face off against... a swarm of bats!

eh I dunno.  Death?  Medusa?  Camilla or whatever her name is, my knowledge of CV characters has escaped me.

Doesn't he usually use that rocket launcher?

Yes, that's the real question:

Rocket launcher versus Dracula, which would win?

What about Suda 51/Kojima's Snake vs Zombie? xD

Anyway, Raiden wouldn't have any trouble, that's for sure. As for Snake, he's taken out dozens of lunatics (Machine Gun Kid xD, or Mantis), why does Drac have that they don't? =p

Now that I think about it....

Oh. Solid Snake. Yeah Solid Snake would win. I thought it just said "Snake" in the title. It would be either win or lose -- Big Boss is terrified of bats and vampires. =p

Lies.  The real, original Big Boss, not that filthy coward in MGS3, would pwn Dracula.  That I'd be sure of.

Now the imperfect clone of Big Boss... that's still a bit more up in the air.

But Dracula keeps coming back.  He just doesn't die.  He is undead after all.

Snake looks like his ticker will give up any second now.  He's 800 years old or something in MGS4.

Maybe like how Dracula rises every 100 years, a new Big Boss clone will arise to stop him?

Eh, I'm a MGS fan too, but I have to go with my gut and say Dracula would win, he has legions of the damned at his disposal, and quite frankly I don't think Snake has what it takes to deal with occult creatures, the closest he came was with the Sorrow, and does that really even count?

The Belmont clan can defeat Dracula based on the fact that it runs in their bloodline, stemming from Leon Belmont and the battle he had with the first incarnation of Dracula back in Lament of Innocence.

Oh God, I'm done.

Yeah, but nonBelmonts have fought Dracula and triumphed.  I've got to say though, stealth is one tactic Snake wouldn't be able to use against Dracula's minions.  Snake may not be packing silver bullets, but I think his plethora of nikkita missles, sniper riles, mines, etc. would be enough to take out many of the bosses in the Castlevania universe(That's actually a game in itself, trying to figure out what weapons and scenarios Solid Snake would have to go through to beat Castlevania's bosses).

I think that he'd have a much better chance of actually being able to beat Dracula if he could get his hands on the Vampire Killer.

But are whips really his style? He passes up the HF sword for that reason.

True, the Vampire Killer whip is the core of the Belmont's ability to defeat Dracula, and the Morris family also inherited the whip for some time, but still, Snake would have a minimal chance of being able to obtain the whip, really.

Snake would win because he has better stats.

Yes, that's the real question:

Rocket launcher versus Dracula, which would win?

 1. Dracula is an ancient Undead who wants to destroy the world by ushering in a new age of Darkness. Who always comes back. An Ancient 'Metal Gear' if you will.
 2. Dracula = Undead. Tyrant from Resident Evil = Undead. Rocket Launchers worked on one, it SHOULD work on the other!

and the Final nail in the....-snicker- COFFIN.

 3. Solid Snake HAS fought Vampires before, and laid waste to their pansy asses....as long as he has Whiny Effeminate sidekicks to do the sword fighting for him.
