Title: Important Question
Post by: MMX on June 12, 2007, 02:25:11 am
Does anybody have the directions to the nearest KFC or Popeye's chicken restaurants?

This is the fried chicken technical support forum, right?

No, but this kind of question seems to warrant one.  I would also like directions.

Popeyes (http://direct.where2getit.com/popeyes/)

Sup guys, and welcome to the Internets.

(This might very well be the single most important post ever made on this site.)

Abso-goddamn-lutely.  Hell I didn't even realize they had internet locators like most of the rest of the world already had.  God, how could I be so foolish?

Zaxby's doesn't count.  Their primary focus is chicken tenders/strips/fingers and sandwiches, not whole pieces.  Real men only eat meat that's still on the bone. (Hey, that sounds like a banner quote...)

Church's site is Flash powered, so I couldn't provide a link to the locations page even if I tried (and I did)

Never heard of Chester Fried - must be an Arkansas thing and therefore doesn't count either.  (Looked at their website and not impressed.  If you're leaching off of gas stations for your clientele, you got no business being in this conversation.)

Oh well, just trying to help out with a few other chicken-themed placed I knew about.  =P  The local Chester Fried around here HAS had some good chicken meals at awesome prices - we've gotten thigh/leg + biscuit and potato wedge meals for around $3!

Popeye's and KFC ftw, though.  Popeye's has those damn good biscuits, and KFC has redeemed itself by bringing back the bucket.  :3  Too bad they had to make the Colonel look more "politically correct" in some of their newer logos...  We southerners never get the respect we deserve...  I mean, what's so offensive about his white jacket outfit??  It's not like he's wearing a KKK robe...

I dunno, I think like two or three people in the continental united states said they found it reminiscent of some silly Civil War-era suits or whatever the fuck I dunno.

People get so bitchy about that war.

Whatever, the suit was awesome though.  And if a yankee like me says that then you know it's true u.u

A lot of people are really bitchy on things that either doesn't matter in the long run, or doesn't make sense in the first place. So bitchy that they can actually cause change in society.

Anyhow:

The white suit was/is/will always be classy.

I fourth this notion.

First of all, he's the Colonel - he should be allowed to wear whatever the hell he wants.

And second, please notice he's still wearing the white suit, he just put an apron over it to keep it clean.  If you wore a white suit while making fried chicken, you'd probably want to as well.

True... though I still can't help but feel that it's just a mask, and nothing more...  >=/

And the white suit IS classy.  People need to stop wearing their feelings on their shoulders all the time and stop bitching at whatever offends them.
