I actualy downloaded it for some one here already but for some reason. rapid share and megaupload dont work for me. evertime I hit the upload button I get taken to a cant display page or try again page. And I tried it in all browsers...

hmmm megaupload should work..... they let you have a 500MB max upload. did you try putting them in rar form and then sending it?

yeah I did rip the scenes.. but my internet has been screwing up lately.. one and off and on and off and on and off...etc
and may have been throttled or something... because.. its very slow since it came back online
downloading from rapidshare used to be like 200-250 kbs.... now its like 20-30 kbs
yeah I ripped them now... they are DVD-quality, widescreen format
The in-game animation resolution was 640 by 400 pixels(native-widescreen), captured at 24 fps(for movie-like framerate)
and encoded it with 3:2 pulldown... so it meets the NTSC standards, so you can burn them to a DVD-R video, no problem
for PAL, you gonna have to convert them to PAL yourselves, sorry
anyways... i'll upload them somehow

Yeah.. im translating the scripts myself, ripped text from the game
using highly-specialized tools, such as e-mail and two-way radios,
i'll use the SRT format for the subtitles
i use tools like Atlas, Systran, and a whole bunch of websites, and common sense

It's been quiet for a few days on this thread. How is the translating going so far?

All the videos are done... but they are pretty big,
averaging at about 74 MBs per video
biggest video = 323 MBs
smallest video = 11.4 MBs
total sizes = 1.23 GBs
I think i might need to re-encode them.. mainly the larger ones
I've been going over the translations and double checking the ones i've translated so far, having trouble translating some of the lines
sure could use some help, and also, someone to double-check/correct what i've translated
also .. it doesnt help that i've been feeling burnt out for the last few days...
like my brain blew a fuse or something... i donno.. haha...
anyways.. my internet has been geting abit slower now these days... cant even get speeds above 20 Kbps

74MB average?!? You need some DivX (http://www.divx.com) in your diet.
Two translators is much better. Using just one translator often ends up reading like an 80s NES game.
Put all the text into some text files (shift-jis, unicode, whatever, I can handle it), upload it and gimme the link and I'll translate it too. Note that I use online systems like Babelfish to get a rough idea of what it says and refine it manually if it doesn't translate well, doesn't seem to fit the context, or (quite often) it mangles a single multi-kanji word into many component words.

It's too bad the scene I've been anticipating a translation for the most, the one where Maranero makes Cala beg, is incomplete. But hey, it's a start!

I still need to fix a couple up, retranslate to double check..
and Interpret them into understandable english... which is hard to do...
since japanese has different structure than english..

hole.. could mean ass... as its not used as a suffix
substituted come with cum in some cases... just because they generally mean the same thing
I call them Holy Knight Force, just because i like the sound of that better...
Spirit could be interpreted as holy.. i think
i've been trying to study some japanese lately also... mainly the structure of their sentences... which is almost like backwards..
Its structured like Subject-Object-Verb, instead of english's Subject-Verb-Object
Japanese: I Apple eating am... English: I am eating apple... ... kinda like that
but then there are those particles.. that define whats the subject, object, topic, object of action...etc

but if your talking about RSR, then nope, there isnt ..
i was supposed to upload ripped versions.. but i could never find the time
still have to edit them, cut out the menu screens from them, and some special parts too
i've been too busy this last month or so
my workload has increased from my job (the fulltime guy left now), also being contracted by various sources
for things like audio technician, video editor/producer, recording of meetings
right now, im out of town for my brother's wedding, wont be back until monday or so
so.. when i finally get back to normal, i can continue all the things i left off
and when they hired a part-time guy for my job, since i've taken over the full-time position
i can offload some of the work onto my lackey (MuHahahah)

most of it is my interpretation of what they would say, otherwise it wouldn't make much sense
so there might be some mistakes, which will be refined as i go along

its not really that hard, to translate it into words, its making the words make sense thats the hard part
since theres no direct translation into english for most words in japanese
but i use alot of references, online directories, translators, and some grammer lessons

Thanks, yeah, I'll iron out all those grammatical errors when I translate it all.
I find it very easy to translate them now, since I edited my WIN scripts to only show the CGs.
Can't believe I didn't think of this before, it was so simple to do....lol
Now my game only cycles thru the CGs, thou I miss out on all the text shown during the fields and any non-CG text.
but I can easily retrieve those by combing thru the MAP#.WIN scripts.
I'll upload those edited scripts later, and a copy of my debug SGS.exe for RSR.
Just need to fix a few errors on the scripts, just need to correct some jump commands.

This was a short chapter, still working on the other chapters, I'd say i got about 30-40 % of the game translated now.

魔獣 (majuu) = Demon. Just demon, not demon animal. The juu kanji suffix would just seem to indicate that these are physical, corporeal demons, not ghosts or such.
精騎族 (seikizoku) = Elf/Elves or Elf-kind. The zoku kanji suffix means "race" or "tribe". The sei prefix is "spirit", and the middle ki kanji is, to my knowledge, never used alone but indicates "chivalry". "Spiritually chivalrous race" does describe modern, Tolkien-ish elves, doesn't it? I suspect that many years ago, possibly when someone translated Lord of the Rings or something similar to Japanese, they felt the language didn't handle the European "elf" (erufu) word very well, so they translated it to something that made more sense to the common reader, seikizoku.
The fact that Julietta gets pregnant kind of defeats the theory that demons and elves can't reproduce though.

yeah i was gonna translate majuu as "magical demons" but i think Demons pretty much sums them up.

but thats Veloce's whole goal with Cala and why he puts her through all that
its also implied in the Cala&Maranello scene, where Veloce shows up
and says something about the blowjob thing, refering to it as as not putting her there for his "bad tastes" , as in "thats not whats she's for" kinda thing and other places i'm sure
Very odd that Julietta is the only one who gets knocked up, on the first time too
while poor, poor Cala can't be impregnated for some old reason.
Might have to translate more too see if this juxtaposition is explained or not

Julietta is royalty, so her bloodline is (supposedly) purer and compatible with demon DNA. Cala is a commoner so her bloodline is more mixed and may have lost the compatability to procreate with demons.
Or maybe she just has good/bad luck. :smalltran
Also note that in one ending Elan is captured and Cala is forced ot have sex with him. She apparently doesn't get pregnant from this either, at least as far as the game shows. (Obviously there have been fan works showing her pregnant though.)

He does yell in that part, so i don't know if he orgasms, or if he's yelling for his life....
so... what happens after that... only Sogna knows...
its one of the forks in the story that leads into a "premature" ending... lol (...just had to say that)
Plus Cala does say she wants kids with Elan at the end... she refers it to starting anew just like Adam & Eve...
Maybe a commoner like Cala is only compatible with another commoner like Elan... kinda thing...
Alpha is another one, i think....
