Like how the letters in Videl's name are rearranged from the word 'devil', how the original Saiyans are named after vegetables, and how Bulma's family members are named after undergarments.

Then there's Freezer, Cooler, and King Cold(refrigerator appliances), Bibidi, Babidi, and Boo(old nursery rhyme), etc.

In one episode they perform a team attack on the enemy and shout out "Anna Milla!" a reference to Anna Miller's, the restuarant their character designer Takahiro Kimura happens to be fond of.
