Post by: JG on March 07, 2005, 06:51:51 pm: It is Japanese. If you're using Firefox you may need to add Japanese to the list of languages it can process in Options | General. If you have IE on Win98, you need to add the Japanese language pack at Windows Update.

In either browser, the encoding should automatically resolve to Shift JIS, but you can override it if it doesnt (which means you've disabled the default action of auto-resolution). In IE, you'll find it at View | Encoding | More | Japanese (Shift-JIS), and in Firefox its at View | Character Encodings | More Encodings | East Asian | Japanese (Shift_JIS)

Post by: JG on March 08, 2005, 09:38:22 pm: The translator doesn't seem to do webpages. Altavista's Babelfish has this problem, too. It's likely a result of the SYSTRAN software both sites use. (Babelfishjust dies, Worldlingo spits out garbage.)

When I come across a site I want to translate, I usually have to copy and paste the text and translate it as text instead of a web page.

There aren't any images in it yet because no one's uploaded any yet. To upload images, go to the gallery and then click on the "upload" link in the top menu. Non-Viper GTB related images will be deleted.

The Viper RSR gif collection at Hentai Paradize is incomplete. It has 141 images.

The most complete Viper RSR animated gif set that I've found contains 295 images, but even then it doesn't include the extra scenes from the DVD version of Viper RSR. Right now I'm adding that set of gifs to my image gallery, and I plan on animating the extra scenes from Viper RSR when I get to them.

As far as I know the following games were reanimated into gifs in their entirety:

Viper V6
Viper V8
Viper V10
Viper V16
Viper GTS
Viper F40
Viper F50
Viper M1
Viper RSR

This list doesn't represent the number of gifs that have been animated, just the games that have been reanimated into gifs in their entirety.

actually if you look at the file names the one that ned in .gif work just fine

I can't seem to view any Viper animations on that "maximumhentai" site. I can view the thumbnails but the images never show up. All I see are broken image placeholders.

1. Kazumasa has to pull out of Asuka when they make love in the storage room. (Staying inside makes Asuka pregnant, which gets you the ending where shes surrounded by everyone in the dojo and acts angry.)
2. After Kazumasa loses leadership of the dojo to Takeshi, choose to fight again. Asuka's watching and sees Kazumasa's determination and it impresses her so much they get back together. Commence the gratuitous Miki-rape that shortly follows. (Giving up against Takeshi leads Kazumasa to a lonely life, in which Miki gets angry with him a morning or two later [I can't remember the exact details of this ending])

None of the other choices makes a difference. And yes, it is impossible for Kazumasa to avoid doing Miki. It's supposed to happen as a natural part of the story.

He doesn't actually do his cousin. It was a dream of Asuka.

As for why Miki is angry I'm guessing beating the other guy means he stays later and takes a different route or something. Miki is raped (by punks she appearently knows but thought they were jerks so she never slept with any of them) but he kicks asses of said punks before they do anything that may be permanent, destroys their camera, and helps her turn them in to the police.

My guess is that in the bad endings the other guy goes home earlier and the rapists do everything they want with her and video tape it to blackmail her so she can't go to the police. Thus when she's pissed at you in the bad endings it's because she may have been knocked up by three guys she knows and wouldn't have touched and there isn't a thing she can do about it.

Yeah, that same thing has happened to me the 50+ times I've downloaded Viper games. It's very stressing. =P

Then, run the torrent file from your computer and it should start working, provided you already have a bittorrent program. If you don't have one, try Azureus. Actually, I'm having trouble too. I'm new to torrents, and I'm unclear on exactly how they work. I got the torrent file from Hongfire, I believe, but it never begins to download when I run the file. Does this have to do with that seeding bit that I've heard about? When ever I come across a torrent that I want, it's already kind of old, and a bunch of people are shouting dama_morri-style for someone to seed it.

Can anyone recommend a more recent or more reliable source for the RSR GIF torrent?

Err... nevermind. It seems to be connecting now. Ah, the magic of the internets.

I usually have to download torrents over a period of a few days since I don't have access to a high speed connection except at school, and it's sometimes difficult to find one that doesn't block me with a firewall. For one reason or another, I've had more a better experience using BitTorrent under these circumstances.
