It's basically a general term used to describe someone who looks through a forum without actually becoming a member, mainly so that they can leech information, images, etc.

Dude, that's a Hydralysk. The Lurker looks more arachnid in appearance mixing it up with said Hydralysk. I haven't gotten a sprite for a Lurker yet, but I may accidentally find one. I often play Zerg in Starcraft.
