From the Time of 4:00 PM EST today until the later parts of Friday afternoon/evening, I will not be around.

Beginning at 10:00 PM EST, I will be in a local Meijers store.
In order to purchase a PS3 at launch.

This is a dangerous mission, one that will take me mass amounts of patience to accomplish. As I will quite literally be standing in Meijers for 26 HOURS. I will be able to finish some reading, and whatnot, and in the end, it will be worth it.

Alright, the bag is packed and I'm leaving in a few hours.

Here is what I am packing for those long hours.

1. Wallet (Contains ID, Money, Permits, etc.)
2. Literature (To be specific...Self-Analysis, Dianetics, and The Fundamentals of Thought by L. Ron Hubbard and Mysterious Stranger by David Blaine)
3. Decks of Cards (For Magic and games of Solitaire)
4. A Plethora of Beef Jerky (We call em Rations to sound cool)
5. Water Bottle
6. Combat Knife (Can never be too safe)
7. Pepper Spray (See above)
8. Notebooks (Research)
9. Collective Information Packets from the Citizen's Commission on Human Rights and Church of Scientology (More reading)
10. Chewing Gum (To wet mouth, and surpress appetite)
11. a Peice of Hard-Tack, If you know what Hard-Tack is, you know why I only have one piece.

The other guy is bringing his DS and whatnot. So we should be okay.

All of this is packed in an Olive Drab Military style carrying bag. To go with my typical military demeanor.

PS3 = too expensive to be worth my time.

I'll get a Wii, since it has the most promising line-up of games. If 360 will come out with ANYTHING other than FPS and RPG games, I'll get one of those. Right now, I'm not buying one just for Sonic the Hedgehog.

I've got Lego Star Wars 2 and Ultimate Alliance on PS2. I'm not real sure what genre Chrome Hounds or Gears of War are.

Chrome Hounds is a mecha game by Sega. Gears of War can be likened to an American Resident Evil 4.

Chrome Hounds sounds worth it. Never really got into playing RE, though I could watch it be played for hours. Especially with Rebecca Chambers on-screen.

After roughly 24 hours of waiting outside in the cold at Target, due to the fact that they WOULD NOT let us in. I quite frankly just realised it wasn't worth it.

I was only buying the thing to make a profit on it off of e-bay, and quite frankly, even my greed has limits. What should have been a hard and harrowing experience, actually wound up being MUCH worse due to the fact that we were, quite frankly, herded like animals outside of a store that wouldn't even tell us how many PS3s they were going to even HAVE. So most likely we were just wasting our time anyway. HOW FREAKING LAME.

Among other life lessons, I am never shopping at Target again.

While people across the country tear each other to shreds over Sony's PS3 tommorow, I'll be opening up my mail-ordered Xbox 360 and playing Sonic the Hedgehog on my 32" LCD HDTV.

We're not allowed to give out numbers, only speak in vague terms (instead of eight units, we say limited numbers). Company policy, not ours.

When you put it like THAT it works. But this bitch was just plain wrong. She was basically rubbing it in our face that "I work at Target, I know whats happening, and you can't know." and "If I leave, I'll get one anyway, so deal with it, nerds"

Oh well, e-bay is limiting sales on the PS3, so fuck it, we would have wasted our time anyway, it's not like I actually wanted the PS3 to PLAY it.

And I have to shop at Target, they're the ones getting MapleGlobal NX Cash Cards.
