About an hour ago, I was walking my dog. While I was doing so, the retarded kid who lives in the apartment building next door (I'm not saying that to make fun of him, he's legit mentally disabled) took a quick look at me in my tight blue jeans, Misfits t-shirt (size small) and brand new thick rimmed "emo" glasses, and asked me this:
"Are you gay?"
I had a quick laugh and assured him that no, no I am not a homosexual, although I am flattered that he thought I was attractive enough to ask, even if he was disabled. But all that leads me to my question:

Since heirophant's gone, I'd like to take this time out to talk about Voltron. Why Voltron? Because it is awesome.
What's not so awesome, however, is that Lennie Weinrib, the man who played Hunk, passed away three months ago. Let's all take a moment of silence to respect one of our childhood memories.

Voltron is awesome. Think Power Rangers, only animated and made in the 80s. A group of five space explorers find that they are able to pilot the five pieces of the legendary Voltron, which they use to defeat the evil King Zarkon. I'll admit I'm on a huge kick after buying the first DVD set yesterday.

Honestly, if people can't wait for me to reply then I don't see how anyone could expect me to help them. Contrary to popular belief, I don't spend 24 hours a day on the forums, and I don't have a bat signal. More importantly, if I do have something I need to address I take the time to at least consider what I say before saying it.
But this isn't enough for some people. They expect me to not only spend as much time on the forums as they do, but to also settle their petty disputes; they expect me to solve the problems they're too immature to handle on their own, and to handle them as soon as possible.
Well, this is one time I'm glad I didn't meet people's expectations. Apparently, heirophant's gone and we're supposed to care, especially considering his main contributions to the forum were a cliche avatar, lack of capitalization, bitching, and a thread that encourages people to settle their disputes by flaming each other instead of, I don't know, working out their frustrations in a constructive manner offline(becuase heaven forbid people take responsibility for their emotions.)

Ah, it appears that spaceworlder gave you over 1,000 negative rep. Whoa. I think that's a milestone for the forum. This has got to be the most negative rep anyone's given anyone ever. In any case, I think it's a pretty good indication that I need to put a restriction on how often people can rep others. I've set it up so that you must wait an hour between repping someone, and I'll fix your rep accordingly. Hopefully this'll curb rep spamming some.

I wish it stood for Dragon Punch. Then we could team up with a guy named Hadoken, and a Mr. named Tatsumaki Senpu, last name Kyaku, and form The A-Team 2000, and drive around in a chrome van with a coat hanger antennae sticking out of it, with 'We built this city on rock and roll' playing on the topdeck. And I'd have a mullet and wear a karate gi, and we'd go around solving the community's problems by way of projectile and special attack.

Although the 3D Voltron looked good on paper, it was NOTHING compared to the original. King Zarkon reforming? PA-LEASE!! If I was the director for 3rd dimension, I would have Zarkon continue his rampage against the Voltron force and Lotor (Or however you spell it) do the same.
To make it interesting, Lotor and Zarkon would compete with one another to see who is the better leader for Planet Doom while the Voltron force battle the Robeasts as usual.

WHOA. Why does it seem like every time I don't visit the forum for a few days (usually due to college work or band obligations, etc.), something bad happens?? Maybe I'm unknowingly providing a state of peace and harmony with my prescence... =3
I had no idea Hierophant was in such a pissed-off mood at spaceworlder... but I guess it's understandable seeing how most of spaceworlder's first posts on the forum were negative - I think I even retaliated somewhat the first time I saw him say "bakunyuu sucks" or something to that nature (sorry man. >_<; ). I guess sometimes we ARE taking people's posts too seriously, which again relates to the fact that you can't always distinguish between a sarcastic post and a serious post. =/
And wasn't Hierophant the one who started the "Where's the Beef?" flaming thread?? Even though I personally thought it was a good idea (it gives people a place to vent instead of doing it on the main threads and avoids thread-hijacking), I DO agree with Hyperguy in the idea that we shouldn't tear at each other's throats to solve our disputes.
Man... why does this have to be a recurring problem?? We should all respect the opinions of others, even if they are harsh and degrading, and I think I could do the same myself a bit. I can't stress this enough, guys - if someone offends you somehow, just ignore them, give 'em some negative rep, PM them and keep it out of the threads, do SOMETHING... but don't start fights with them. It leads to stupid bullshit threads like this one. The space that this thread uses on the server for this site probably could have been used for more nudie-chick pictures that everyone seems to enjoy, or another thread that has a very interesting and relevant topic to discuss. Think about that.
Now... I'm sick and tired of having to stand on my soapbox and give this speech over and over again every time some shit starts going down... but I seriously think that Hyperguy would appreciate his forum not having any stupid shit like frivolous squabbles and "DUDE YOURE A FUCKING ASSHOLE," etc. pervading the threads every couple of weeks or so, it seems nowadays. Post, respect, and enjoy each other's company. I don't want to see anyone else leave... it saddens me when someone cool (like Importgamer13 or YTF) doesn't want to visit the Congress of Awesome anymore. -_-

It took maybe a few posts for heiro to get extremely pissed at spaceworlder. I think there's more to it than that however. Basically, part of his frustration came from my 'inaction'. He wanted me to tell people how to act. I may be admin, but I'm no social worker. Besides, we're all adults here, and adults are perfectly capable of settling their disputes on their own. The site and forums were never intended for kids, and accomodations won't be made for them. This includes thinking like a child. Yes, people have posted some stupid shit for the sake of humor, but getting puffy about it takes away from actual discussion, which is what message boards exist for in the first place.
Now... Amen to that. But as far as people leaving goes, sometimes that's for the best. If this forum's so horrible and soul killing, then it's much healthier for people to not expose themself to it. They could grow up, not focus on the negative, and realize that no one hurts them unless they consciously let them, but that takes more patience than some people are willing to give.
As for IG13, I'm convinced that he was in a state of learned helplessness. I talked to him and helped him with his problems many times, but everytime he was given the opportunity to apply what I had taught him he instead insisted on letting himself get hurt. It's as if he subconsciously indulged in sympathy. You can't help someone who's not interested in their own well being.

The reason heirophant was so pissed off was because he wanted things done his way; We're talking about a guy who flipped out whenever Bill told a dirty joke here. And as soon as myself and that beautiful human being Spaceworlder smelled blood, he was finally sent over the edge. How dare someone mock another person on an internet message board recovering from the shockwaves of a massive dissention amongst users! You can't have an opinion different than me, otherwise you're turning this place into Stoner's 4Chan Giant Robot Paradise! Using sarcasm, telling dirty jokes, having a sense of humor were all taboos to him. And I haven't even gotten into any animosity between users yet! Humor gets in the way of the huge boobs, apparently.
importgamer13 is a different story. As someone who's spoken to Hyperguy, I can safely say that the dude had (has) problems. SERIOUS FUCKING PROBLEMS. Too numerous to mention, in fact. The man had a negative reaction to positive feedback (on his reviews). Roommate and Khris gave out some sagely advice and it was all "STOP YELLING AT ME!" That's the reason Khris was such a dick the second time around.
Now I know I'm going to get all hated on for even intimating that your friends aren't as great as you think they are, but face the facts: some people are just way too fucking sensitive for life.

And on that note, I think that's sorta the reason why we "Bakunyuus" like our busty girls so much - they make us feel confortable and relaxed. It makes me remember about that one article Will posted a while back, if any of you guys read it. It's because of our, I guess you could say, social awkwardness, that attracts us towards those breasts and the wonderful women they are attached to, be they anime characters or gravure models. And yes, I know it's rather odd to think that we fantasize about having unrealistic girlfriends/wives like these girls, or even the characters/models themselves, but everyone's got their own dreams, no matter how strange they may be.

Hmm, I don't really see it as a social handicap now. I've learned to loosen up a bit and be more friendly (lol, dealing with customers while working at Wal-Mart XD). It's not like I go around places spamming out "I LUV TEH BEWBIES" to everyone, lol. Once I get to know people better, or just if it comes up in random conversation, THEN I might mention it; and still, it's just my preference. If someone gets offended by it, that's their problem, not mine. =P
Also, keep in mind that I'm just a quiet guy by nature. While people may not notice me when I'm TALKING, they might when I'm DOING something. Actions speak louder than words. :3
