Yo yo yo, Lil' Will in the house. Oh fuck it, I'll talk normal. FOR NOW.
I was just playing through some old NES games this morning during my monthly computer virus/spyware scan etc. And I was thinkin' what games do you guys play on your old grey boxes of doom?
NO DONT WORRY IM NOT WRITING A LIST.
But I wanted to mention a game I've been playing recently, it's a really great old title called "Clash at Demonhead", I don't know if anyone else has played this but it's pretty groovy. It's a anime-style side scrolling shooter, with lots of wacked out enemies, a strangely high amount of plot, and a cool item/shop system that kind of gave me a Guardian Legend vibe. (Another classic!), but it's pretty cool, if you guys emulate, check out a rom or something, or if you can't find it contact me and I'll give you the rom, it's small anyway.

Sesame Street Alphabet and Numbers. Yeah I got both, bitches. And they rule.
But anyways... man I've still got a ton in a big big somewhere downstairs, though I haven't played in ages.
Question: Anybody know a game where you play as like this guy in this futuristic side-scrolling game... well you're not a guy. You're in some robot or something and you're walking along and jumping over pits and then BAMF you hit this big huge dino-robot thing and you jump into it with this neato NES era cutscene and then you're off to rape the world in a huge dinorobot fighting these other robots and damn I need to play that game again it was so fucking r0x0rzsome.

For me, here's my favorite and best ones:
1- Captain Tsubasa Vol 2 - Super Striker (It has the best soundtracks on NES)
2- Destiny of an Emperor (My first RPG game that I played and it still the best RPG that I've played)
3- Flying Warriors (I really like this game, it's a very long game)

I checked the game and it was cool :)

Ah, I remember my old NES games. One of my favorites was Rad Racer, that game had awesome music (at least for the few songs it did have). Another classic is Tecmo Bowl, in the fact that you could pass to Jerry Rice and he would never ever miss.

The three ICOM Simulations games on the NES (Shadowgate, Deja Vu and Uninvited) all fucking kick ASS.
-
i admit i'm not a huge old-school fan (i'm ashamed to say that i, to this day, have still not beaten the original Super Mario Bros... >_<; ), but one NES game i DID play a lot was 1943. i think it was made by Capcom, and it was basically a WWII-era flyer/shooter, like Galaga or Ikaruga. i enjoyed it because, for me, it had much more control than most of the other NES games i've played, it had a high level of difficulty, and it was cool that you could customize the stats for your plane if you could find the hidden items in the levels that allowed you to do so (which was actually pretty easy, seeing how many of them appeared in the same spot on the different levels).
Super Mario Bros. 3, Pacman, and Duck Hunt were also pretty fun to play imo.

Contra.
Just Contra.

Holy Shit how the hell did I forget those. Those were all CLASSIC. Some really good puzzles for back in the day too!
-
Yeah, nearly all of the good games go on to the NES. Some hard too.
-
If I ever break out my NES to play anything again, it's going to be to play Dr. Mario. It's catchy music is the thing legends are made of.
-
DUCK HUNT FOR LIFE, BITCHES!
-
Zelda 2 was awesome too, guys. As was Dragon Warrior.
-
I...I have no NES ... T_T
-
I used to like 10 years ago but I sold it because it was nearly unusuable because the contacts were failing.

Damn straight. Everybody used to say Zelda 2 was crap BUT THEY WERE ALL FOOLS!

DUCK HUNT FOR LIFE, BITCHES!

My NES days were full of Bubble Bobble, Mario Bros 1-3, Megaman 2 & 3, Bad Dudes, and various TMNT games. Mostly, the ones we played were the ones with "3" in the title. Mario 3 was our first game, Megaman 3 was the second, then I think there was a TMNT 3 side-scroller that we played to no end. I never did beat any of those games without codes back when I had my NES, and now that I'm older and more skilled, my NES is gone and I can't try my skill again.

I kicked ass at all manner of NES games when I was little. Megaman, Mario, Dragon Warrior, Zelda, Bubble Bobble, Top Gun, Contra, Castlevania, that one submarine game I don't remember the name of at the moment... the list goes on, my friends. Back then, you name it, I beat it.
I even made it through Ninja Gaiden's infamous level 6-2. That level was a fucking BITCH. BUT I MADE IT THROUGH.

excite bike bitches, 'nuff said.
-
Excite bike is an awesome game.

Excite bike is an awesome game.
Too bad there wasn't a "Vs. Excitebike". It would have been fun to go head-to-head against another person.
-
What about Excite Truck that's coming out for the Wii? Haha...

Thank you for bringing up bad memories.
Damn that smartass dog... Damn him straight to hell!

What the eff? Zelda-hater mimicks my childhood. Well, not exactly. But yeah I played SMB3 before I went back and found the others -- I think the third TMNT was the Manhattan Project. That game was awesome. I used to go to this hotel that had this sports club but instead of doing tennis or any of that shit I'd just go up into the attic of the club and play on their NES forever. I think they had TMNT 1 and 2 and I never owned either for the NES but that's where I played them both. Only had Manhattan Project at home.
Bubble Bobble = yes.
