V10,CTR
RSR
V16,GTB,GT1
And Some Others....

I am also doing a VIPER ISLANDS 7.....I will make it with exportable character files for cameos and additoinal H-Scenes in Any of my games...

Also Music or anything that can help me will be greatly helpful.

The artwork will mostly be high quality, well done image splicing on previous viper games and on other animated H-Games were I feel The Art Matches that preticlular series......

Asuka and Captain are now engaged and living together. Takeshi and Miki break up, so Miki has no where else to go but back to live at Captain's apartment. Mayhem ensues as she stifles Asuka and Captain's love life and gets in the way, so they try to get rid of her by trying to hook her up with other fellows (maybe even guys from other Viper series. I can just see Asuka trying to summon Alphina to take Miki off their hands.)

Im really not that good at storylines, so, I really need help on that part. I will keep the idea that JG gave in mind, but If anyone could expand on that....or give detailed ideas?

So I just started on one and i posted a screenshot of it on the yahoo group photos.
I am working on getting screenshots of /new/ animations up tonight

btw, the first asuka flash was actually the original not /my version/ (i made a mistake) so ill take it down and put up screenshots of the redone one im doing

Yeah, now you're talking. I always imagine faceless lucky guy as Takeshi. Some way or another he gets to nail both his rival's cousin AND his girlfriend simultaneously. Captain is uber-dissed.

Ive already completed the first few talking scenes and pieced them together as well as a few H-scenes. I also fixed the first Miki Paizuri animation so that the arms move. I just wanted everyone to know I havent abandoned the project.

Post by: JG on July 02, 2007, 10:36:18 pm: I have no problem with the hair. It looks a little longer and shaggier than the CTR versions, but then again, she's supposed to be a little older. Change is never a bad thing, if its not too radical. After all, they've put Asuka's hair in a ponytail a few times (cover of V10 and the V10 sparring match, some of the official artwork, etc.) yet hardly anyone thinks of that style now.

Cheat Engine 1.0

Right now Im working on a cheat Engine for the game that will be able to load save games that can be downloaded from the internet, view all H-scenes, change colors/RGB value, and change other varios things in the game.

Post by: Asukachan on June 15, 2008, 06:46:15 pm: Ok, Ive been drawing some new animations all by hand as cells, scanning them into the computer, and inking them there. doing it by hand, offers better results and fresher animations. I will keep the same style Ive been using. This may take a bit longer, so these new animations might not make the demo or the final version at that matter, but there will be updates to the final version that will bring these in.

Ill keep upates as I go along and even show some scanned cells, but I dont want to show too much or it will ruin the suprise.

Alot of these animations I am working on now as well as a few before that I havent shown yet, are going to be in Viper Islands 7, So dont think I am only working on Miki animations. I have some of Cala, Asuka, and Akira so far.

everything is looking good so far and right now Im working out the cheat engine with that. I will probably have somesort of demo soon. I need a place to host the online supporting files and things like that and I dont know what Im going to do about the voices......

The Asuka_Test.swf is actually a scene from viper paradice, but I re-traced it in Flash by hand to get it that way.

I'm going to go back and brush up on the lines to my first animation. Those new Viper RSR images are an eye opener to the quality i should strive for. Forward me some of your incomplete work and i'll see what i can finish (my email is under my profile), or you can upload it somewhere like Mediafire.

Those are just the girls, with all their animated frames as PNGs with alpha channel. I didn't think you needed the graphics for Hako - I doubt anyone plays him/her/it anyway.

Post by: JG on September 14, 2010, 07:51:31 am: I dont think Typing has any screen savers. The Island games do but I've tried to rip them in the past with no success. The images aren't just embedded but compressed as well (which makes since becuase raw bitmap images are quite large)
And it's hard to rip from a running screen saver too due to it's nature of fighting mouse movements and keypresses - I think the only way it could be done is by running a Virtual PC session in a window, disable its mouse and keyboard then let it expire and start capturing the screen from the host.

You misunderstand. I'm asking (Viper-san) why the new content for the Viper CCR game (on the yahoo group page) is censored. I meant original in the sense that it's novel work. I'm under the assumption that it's not being produced in Japan.

After all, it's trivial. We can have an menu option somewhere and use a register to store the value. We've got plenty of registers to work with. Take for example the option in CTR that allows you to turn on or off Captain's voice - it would work in a similar way. We'd just wrap an IF statement around the displaying opcodes, choosing to display one set of frames if censored and one set if uncensored. Thus, both censored and uncensored frames can occupy the same ANM file. We don't need separate ANM files or a separate SGS.DAT file.

Actually, I think that a censored version would be great - it would be a nice "nod" to the original games themselves.

I'm personally not bothered by censorship, and I've always agreed with the position there is a certain eroticism in the unseen. Overly aggressive censoring, that goes as far to censor almost the whole body (like that seen in many old H-Anime movies), can get a bit silly, though.

Though my problem with the censorship isn't so much what's hidden, but what's doing the hiding. Mosaic filters, black bars and such sometimes stick out too much and throw me out of the illusion. I prefer uncensored because it makes for a more cohesive, attractive image. Incidentally some of my favorite Viper gifs are the ones where all the parts that would normally be censored are cropped out, or just outright invisible.

The optional censoring approach sounds like a good way to please everybody. Just hope it doesn't turn out to be more complicated than it sounds on paper.

Inserting an animation into a Viper engine like a lot more work than concocting your own engine in Flash (or using an open-source japan novel engine), but if that's easier for you then go for it.

I beleive its a side story to The Devil Came... main story, either taking place right before or right after the events of GTS. I think the topic revolves around Ratty's apprenticeship to the two older succubi, though I'm not sure if thats the entirety of the eight track story or just one or two tracks worth. It seems to be very lighthearted (maybe a comedy of sorts) but as I can't understand spoken Japanese very well I can't be sure of the content.

Like the other games there will be art with Miki and Asuka on the Play, install, quit screen and the Title screen will just have a pattern of some kind behind it.

EDIT: I noticed the VIPER part blurred a little, but I can fix this. Just pay attention to the overall look.

EDIT: Just wanted to give everyone following this, a quick update on the status of VIPER CCR.

Currently, we are looking at 1 Asuka scene and 2 Miki Scenes. That means about 16 Miki animations (NOT-including variations of animations like turning head to side or speeding up or a transition from one animation to another) and about 8 Asuka animations (again, not including variations). I only have about 2 Miki keyframes and 1 Asuka keyframe left before I can start fully moving my attention toward animation completion. I received my inking pens today and my red pencils and I have ordered the Cel acetate.

Never really tried it to do drawing on it though. I can try it out if you want, as you might be able to find one of these used cheaper than you could find a Wacom input device.

The next step up above that is that the Wacom Cintiq, but that's a $1000 and really for those who desire a touchscreen.

The Bamboo's a great tablet no doubt, and if you're low on pocket change, then by all means pick one up, but make sure you pick up a medium-sized one.

Doesn't take too long to adjust your hand-eye coordination from tablet to monitor.

I'm sure it was Edage Katsura's decision as artist, not from the Sogna management. I think he did a fine job coming up with something unique.

Island would be all minigames of course. As long as we don't go overboad with anything overly complicated, I think my engine could handle it. Not 100% sure we could replicate the "timing" minigames from earlier Islands (like Akira's karate chop minigame) due to difficulties in accurately timing things in HTML, but we could certainly do the others like the Where's Waldo hunts, find the differences, matching games, etc.

As far as future projects go, looks like you're pretty well set on a Magical Gambler sequel (online gamling would be an interesting twist and something they wouldn't have foreseen in the mid-90s.) Of course I'd also go nuts for a GT2. Also, a short story idea I've been floating in my mind for the past two or three months is F360 - a crossover of the F40 team and the Bravan series where Donarghe was secretly behind the cloning experiments of F40.

We can certainly sell a full version on the site. But instead of "boxed", it would be cheaper (and easier) to package it in a CD jewel case or DVD case.

If you're bent on buying a Cintiq, a much cheaper alternative that'll offer a similar experience is buying a tablet PC with a Wacom digitizer (a Wacom touch screen). The Surface Pro is such a device and works quite well, especially since it can run Windows and art programs natively (unlike the Cintiq, which is really an extension peripheral). The Surface Pro is on the expensive side though (there have been deals this season). A much, much cheaper alternative is the Fujitsu T4215 ($100 on eBay last i checked). The only problem with that one is because it's a bit old it gets a warm on the lap.

If you're doing freehand then yes, the Cintiq is the best (although a tablet with a Wacom digitizer is just as good imo).

Yeah, the lines are like that because it's a rough. I just did a quick sketch and colored it in really quick to see what it would look like. The final version will have clean lines.

Have you tried using Dain-App? It's an application that auto generates in-between frames. Quite useful even when the results aren't perfect.
