I'm afraid I'm really just voting for Jota because I think she's hotter, and I'm dead disappointed that she doesn't get more fan-material dedicated to her.
I mean, I get Cala's appeal as the RSR lead but more people really need to chuck Jota a bone.

Agreed... I actually don't get Cala's appeal.

Jota's clearly got the better backstory though - a human in a world dominated by elves.

Not really my thing, I'm sorry to say.

I can see why people Cala's popular, probably even why she's more popular than Jota, I just don't feel the appeal so much myself.
